I Only Summon Villainesses

Chapter 286: Know This And Know Peace

I watched Kassie training Evangeline and after that entered the ring for my turn. I didn’t always look forward to it. I didn’t before, didn’t now and never will.

I was getting stronger nonetheless, and I was getting stronger in a way that was evident to me and easily noticeable to anyone who had been around a few months ago. My physique alone was a simple tell that made it obvious enough.

But every time I crossed swords with Kassie, I always remembered how terrifyingly far away from her I was. Then I wondered when I was even going to get an inch closer. To be honest, Evangeline was far stronger than I was. She was an Elf after all. Milo had told me that Elves were usually blessed by the spiritual realm.

They had an internal composition that made it easy for them to gather Spirit Essence into their bodies and circulate it efficiently. This also had to do with their extra lifespan. It was because of the kind of body they had that they could live as long as they did.

Although Evangeline never once revealed her age, Milo had said that Elves usually reached close to, or over, a hundred years old before they entered maturity like Evangeline had.

Which meant there was a high chance that Evangeline was over a hundred years old. I didn’t know how hitting a hundred-year-old woman would feel. How was she any different from Gran Gran who was ninety-six?

I found myself in a moral dilemma since then, and even though I always loved the way Evangeline’s breasts danced and bounced during her spars with Kassie, it was always difficult to look away from the fact that she was an old hag.

’Well, Kassie too sort of is...’

Hell no! I didn’t agree with my own vile thought on that one. Kassie was very different from these old hags! My villainesses all were!

First of all, there was an eight-thousand-year gap between when they died and now. It didn’t necessarily mean that they were eight thousand years old. I preferred to see it as their lives had been placed on a brief pause that unfortunately lasted for eight thousand years.

’Brief doesn’t even begin to cover it.’

I chuckled internally, but I must have let some slip because Kassie’s gaze narrowed for a moment and I felt a crushing force wrench me away from the position I had been holding while defending her strikes.

My body flew through the air. I slammed into the wall behind me and the stone scattered outward, chunks crumbling loose and raining down around me.

I glanced at the crater with widened eyes and quickly winced in pain, but it might have been a different and less corporeal kind of pain. There was a part of me that mourned the fact that I had been distracted in the first place. The other part mourned what I had been distracted by.

Old women.

Kassie spoke casually while taking casual steps closer.

”If you have the time to be distracted during a spar session, I should take you with intense caution, shouldn’t I? Since you might be able to give me a handicap.”

I looked up at her as she stood above me. There was a burning pain in my back that was spreading to different parts of my body, crawling through my muscles like something alive. Against all of that was Kassie’s crimson glare, which carried too much seriousness and a faint spark of irritation.

’I feel like she likes the elf lady better than me...’

This was another reason why I didn’t like this woman and always stayed away from her. She was starting to get annoying. Kassie was my summon. MY spirit summon! I was the Spirit Summoner here. But this girl... I didn’t think I existed to her at all.

I only existed to her whenever Kassie mentioned me. This girl was completely oblivious to my presence and it was quite funny, because I had been the one who started the operation that set her free. For those boobs, I had been willing to sacrifice an Apex Beast Core, which I now knew was valued at around fifteen thousand gold crowns.

And I had sacrificed it for this woman’s boobs, only for her to come back around and start acting like Kassie was the sun and I was just the dirt beneath her feet. Everything about the way she looked at Kassie and the way she ignored me was like a needle being slowly pushed into my pride.

’Man... I miss Yuan.’

I was the shit. I deserved more recognition and I wasn’t going to get it until this tag of F rank was somehow gone.

’At what point am I even going to be a D rank...’

After spending so much time as an F rank while being able to beat an S rank, I could only wonder what exactly the standard of B rank would be for my broken Lodestar. If F rank already let me punch that far above my weight, the gap between here and there felt like staring up at the sky and asking how far space went.

Kassie was still staring down at me, frowning slightly at my silence. My eyes were fixated on those juicy breasts of hers. She wore a long free skirt with the type of blouse where you needed ropes to tighten the edge. Should it not be tightly tied enough, the cleavage would be revealed and the breasts themselves would dangle very dangerously.

There was nothing more pleasant than that in this battle. Every loss to Kassie came with at least one reward.

”Lady Kassandra, is it alright if I help you adjust your blouse?”

I heard the voice from behind me. Evangeline, scathed and sweating with her pointed long ears and full breasts, trudged towards Kassie and tied the rope of her blouse into a tight knot. I glared at her from my vantage point but she didn’t even look my way.

Not even a glance. Not even the smallest acknowledgment that I was sitting right there, embedded in a wall she had walked past.

I was boiling inside.

’This girl!’

Kassie dropped the pommel of the staff she was using in place of a sword on my head and her eyes sharpened for a moment.

”Because you’ve gotten better at managing your movement does not mean you are the strongest man alive. You don’t stop training... even when you reach the pinnacle, you don’t stop, because the moment you do... there are a thousand people below you hoping to tear down your throne of strength at the slightest carelessness you display.”

She raised her jaw, still looking down on me.

”People don’t need obvious weaknesses and disadvantages to win battles anymore. They just need you to get careless.”

As she said this, I stood up and got serious, holding Frostfang with both of my hands. The sword was almost biting, but at the same time, it was cooling my grip and the flow of blood in my body, making it easier for my gaze to lock in on Kassie.

This time, I fixed my gaze directly on the breasts. It was a little act of defiance, I hated to admit it. But this new elf girl needed to understand that I... I owned this villainess that was standing before us.

I owned them all!
