I Only Summon Villainesses

Chapter 89: A Matchless Battle Commander

[SPIRIT PROFILE]

Name: Kassandra the Unconquered

Title: The Tyrant Empress, The Blood Conqueror

Spirit Tier: Calamity (9)

Fortitude: 8.3

[SIGNATURE ABILITIES]

• Emperor’s Command (Buff/Tactical)

• Effect: Issue battlefield-wide supernatural command to all allied forces within 200m radius—orders execute with perfect synchronization and timing regardless of ally intelligence or training level; grants temporary tactical brilliance (+200% coordination, enemies’ movements become predictable to all allies, formations adjust automatically to counter enemy strategy); lasts until battle objective completed.

• Cost: 80 SE, requires at least 10 allied combatants to activate (doesn’t work on solo/small groups), she must remain stationary while issuing the command (vulnerable for 5 seconds), only usable once per major engagement

• Intimidation Cascade (Debuff/Environmental - ArmyBreaker)

• Effect: Release battlefield-wide Domination Aura affecting all enemies within 500m radius—rank-and-file soldiers must pass willpower check or immediately rout (flee battlefield), officers/elites become hesitant and suffer -50% coordination, enemy commanders struggle to maintain control as their forces lose morale exponentially; effect intensifies the longer battle continues (panic spreads like contagion through enemy ranks).

• Cost: 60 SE, affects ENTIRE battlefield (can break army-scale formations), minor fear effect on allied soldiers if any Spirit fortitude below is 9.0 (they feel the pressure too), single use per battle (takes time to build up that much intimidation)

• Tactical Dismantling (Strategy/Debuff - Formation Breaker)

• Effect: Spend 2 minutes analyzing enemy army’s complete formation, supply lines, command structure, and tactical deployment; identifies critical weak points in their strategy—when exploited, enemy formation collapses (lose all coordination bonuses, commanders’ orders become ineffective, supply lines disrupted, morale craters); her entire allied army gains +100% effectiveness against marked weakpoints for next 30 minutes.

• Cost: 50 SE, requires elevated position and 2 minutes of uninterrupted analysis (vulnerable during this time), only works on army-scale engagements (10,000+ combatants), intel becomes outdated if enemy successfully reorganizes (rare, but possible with genius opposing commander)

• Tyrant’s Advance (Buff/Combat - Unstoppable Army Charge)

•Effect: Lead a devastating army charge where all forces within 100m of her become immune to knockback/stun/fear effects; charging forces gain +10% damage per second of sustained advance (caps at +200% after 20 seconds), enemies caught in the charge path take massive trampling/crushing damage and must save or be knocked prone; she personally spearheads the charge, her presence alone creating a wedge that splits enemy formations.

• Cost: 60 SE to initiate, 15 SE per minute to maintain, requires minimum 50 allied soldiers within range to form proper wedge (doesn’t work solo), CANNOT retreat once activated (to stop the charge is to break morale—she literally cannot move backward), if the charge fails to break enemy lines, allied morale shatters

• The Red Banner (Ultimate Buff/Environmental - Legendary Army Enhancement)

• Effect: Manifest her legendary crimson war banner in colossal scale (visible across entire battlefield, can be seen from miles away)—all allies within 300m radius gain: +150% damage output, complete immunity to fear/morale/pain effects, supernatural stamina (fight for hours without exhaustion), wounds that would normally kill become survivable, +75% movement speed; simultaneously all enemies within 400m radius suffer: -40% damage output, crushing dread (willpower checks every 30 seconds or flee), coordination breakdown (can’t execute complex tactics), commanders’ orders fail to reach troops; lasts 15 minutes.

• Cost: 150 SE to manifest, 25 SE per minute to maintain, completely exhausts her afterward (unconscious for 1 hour minimum post-use), requires minimum 200 allied combatants present (the banner feeds on army-scale warfare and mass belief), allies feel intense fanatical loyalty during effect (will charge into certain death at her command—requires careful control), enemies who break and flee spread panic to their entire army like contagion

I smiled at the thrashing waves of the ocean, pleased with myself. I had made an unexpected but significant development. Raising Kassie’s fortitude by 0.1 might not sound like much to anyone else, but it meant a lot to me. Progress was progress.

I turned away from the breeze and pulled up the full information on Kassie’s signature abilities. This wasn’t the first time I’d seen them — but it was the first time I was actually paying attention. Back in the prison, I’d been a little too busy trying not to die to appreciate the details.

’She’s really a full-blown commander, huh.’

Which made her truly terrifying in ways I was only beginning to grasp. The fact that Kassie could easily overpower spirit summons that were majority striker class while being a Commander class herself was nothing short of remarkable. Strikers were built to fight. Commanders were built to lead. She did both, and she did both better than most spirits could do either.

Until I somehow stumbled upon an army, though... I wasn’t going to be using her abilities to their fullest.

’What are the chances I’ll actually have an army later?’

None. Absolutely none.

Except — unless somehow I got mixed up in international or intercontinental war, which I didn’t see happening. I was too small. Too insignificant to be a part of something like that. All I cared about was the destruction of the church.

For a small rat like me, even that was still quite the dream. But what harm could a dream do, really? It’s just one church.

’Just the entire organization that branded me a heretic and wants me dead. No big deal.’

The waves thrashed again, and this time they seemed noisier than usual. I closed my eyes, enjoying the soft slap of the sea breeze against my face as the sound continued. Salt and brine filled my lungs. For a moment, everything felt almost peaceful.

In the rhythm of the waves, I could hear things breaking. And screams — fragile, distant screams.

’Aquarai?’

I frowned and focused harder on the sound. As I did, my head snapped up. The sound wasn’t coming from the waves at all.

It was the village. The village was under attack.

A dark grimace settled over my face. I broke into a run and bolted toward the village without another thought.

I reached the center and froze.

People on horseback were racing through the streets, carrying whips and striking everything in their path — people, property, anything that moved and plenty that didn’t. Villagers tried to run, but the horses were wild and impossibly fast, built for exactly this kind of wicked chase. There was nowhere to go.

The horses ran down women while the men on their backs twirled their whips overhead with practiced cruelty. They slammed them down hard enough to tear through brick walls. And when the leather met human skin, it shredded flesh with devastating brutality. Blood sprayed across sands.

I stood there at the entrance of it all, my face pale, watching the entire village get torn apart. I hadn’t even been awake for a full day, and trouble had already come looking for me.

And these weren’t even church crusaders.
