Wizard: Unlimited Profession Slots

Chapter 664: Chapter 316: Upheaval (Part 3)

”Enchantment studies are indeed the field I urgently need to improve upon; your professional guidance is extremely valuable to me.”

Upon hearing this response, a look of relief immediately appeared on Frederick’s face, and even his shoulders relaxed:

”Great! This is truly... so important to me.”

He said excitedly, then a shrewd gleam typical of a merchant flashed in his eyes:

”At the same time, I also have a practical business suggestion to share with you. Since you are now an official lecturer and have several high-quality papers, you can definitely consider raising the fees for various services appropriately.”

”The price of magic potion orders can be increased by 50%, bloodline modulation services can be doubled, and new courses should also be priced accordingly.

With your current reputation and influence, these price increases will not drive away customers; instead, they will enhance your ’brand value.’

He stroked the beard on his chin and continued to explain:

”In the Wizard World, price often equates to a symbol of quality. A moderately high pricing strategy can not only increase revenue but also attract those high-end clients who truly need and can afford the services.”

This suggestion made Ron’s eyes light up; she was indeed somewhat oblivious to these matters.

Given his current status and ability, there is no need to maintain ’friendly prices.’

Raising the fee standards appropriately can not only increase income but also weed out those clients who are not serious enough.

”In return, if you need magic potion orders or bloodline modulation services in the future, you can enjoy a 40% discount.”

Ron proposed her own conditions:

”Additionally, if you can introduce some reliable clients to me, I’ll provide additional commission as a reward.”

”Of course!” A hint of joy flashed in Frederick’s eyes:

”In fact, I actually know quite a few colleagues who have related needs, especially some wizards from ancient families. They aren’t short on money, but their quality demands for services are extremely high.”

The two continued discussing some details of their cooperation, including pricing strategies, scope of services, and how to maintain reasonable neutrality in the upcoming transformation, among other things.

As the conversation was drawing to a close, Frederick suddenly became serious:

”Lecturer Ralph, there’s one more thing I want to remind you of.”

He lowered his voice and continued:

”According to some... information I received, the Conquest Faction’s policies will be even more aggressive than we imagine, and the mandatory conscription system might be reinstated.”

A deep fear was evident in Frederick’s eyes:

”I heard that the Tower Master has developed an entirely new management system for conquest in the Otherworld, grading wizards according to their value and then forcibly assigning them to corresponding tasks.

Those wizards deemed to have insufficient ’academic value’ and ’combat value’...”

He didn’t finish, but the implication was very clear.

”Additionally,” Frederick continued to add:

”Though the work at the Abyssal Observation Station is relatively safer compared to exploration work, it’s not entirely without risks either.

I once had a colleague sent to work there, who returned three months later completely changed... becoming withdrawn and often having nightmares.”

His voice turned even lower:

”It’s said that in the observation station’s research materials, there are samples from below the Abyss Seventh Layer. Even with multiple seals, those things still exert subtle influences on those who come into contact with them.

Over time, many researchers begin to exhibit varying degrees of mental abnormalities.”

These words sent a chill through Ron’s heart.

It seems that even without directly entering the Abyss, long-term exposure to those bizarre samples also brings unforeseeable risks.

”Under such circumstances, maintaining a degree of discretion and flexibility may be a wise choice.”

Frederick finally suggested:

”Being too ostentatious might attract unnecessary attention, while excessive stubbornness could lead to missed opportunities.”

Although these words were implied, their meaning was already very clear:

In the coming major transformation, ensuring survival is more important than holding on to certain principles.
