My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 198: Chapter 154: I’ll Take You for a Thrill

Xu Xuan’s hotel was a five-star establishment, fully equipped with all sorts of amenities. He had arranged the best rooms for Li Xiang and his group. Not only was the decor luxurious, but the view from the windows was also beautiful.

Li Xiang and his group arrived around two in the afternoon. Xu Xuan had arranged for staff to greet them, but he couldn’t make it himself due to some business, saying only that he would come by in the evening to treat them to dinner.

”This hotel is amazing!” It was Yao Yao’s first time staying in such a fine hotel. After entering her room, she flopped onto the soft, large bed, then excitedly looked all around the place.

”Such a big bathtub! I definitely have to take a nice, long bath tonight.”

’I’ll go check out Brother Xiang’s room first. Maybe I’ll get my chance!’ Yao Yao giggled mischievously. She tidied her hair in the mirror, puffed out her chest, and twisted her slender waist, admiring her own perky butt and beautiful legs. Quite satisfied with her enchanting curves, she then headed out toward Li Xiang’s room.

When she got to the door, she found it open. Zhao Xueqing and Lei Xiaohui were already inside.

’Those two little vixens, they beat me to it.’ Yao Yao immediately went inside, feeling like every second she wasted was a major loss.

”Perfect, Yao Yao’s here too!” Seeing that everyone had arrived, Li Xiang said, ”We’re not doing any work this afternoon. I’ll take you guys to have some fun at the clubhouse. We’ll call it a company team-building event. How about it?”

”Okay! What are we going to do?” Zhao Xueqing blinked.

Lei Xiaohui said, ”This is a sports club, so Brother Xiang is probably taking us to play ball or do some other sports!” She excelled at sports, so she was quite excited.

Yao Yao’s face fell. ”I hate sports. If it were dancing, I’d be happy to join.”

Dancing and sports aren’t the same thing. Dancing is a performance art that emphasizes aesthetics, while sports are about physical training and a competitive spirit.

Li Xiang laughed. ”Play ball? Tennis, baseball, golf... none of that is very interesting. I’m taking you to do something really thrilling!”

”Thrilling?” Yao Yao’s eyes lit up, but then she glanced at the other two girls beside her and hesitated, stammering, ”Brother Xiang, you’re taking the three of us to do something... ’thrilling’? Is that... really a good idea?”

’If it were just me, I’d be more than willing to join you,’ she thought. ’But it’s a little awkward with all four of us.’

Zhao Xueqing hadn’t thought anything of it at first, as she knew Li Xiang wasn’t that kind of person. But after Yao Yao’s insinuation, something crossed her mind, and her pretty face flushed slightly.

Lei Xiaohui said weakly, ”Brother Xiang, let’s just do something normal. Anything too... thrilling... I can’t handle it.”

”Enough nonsense. Let’s go. I guarantee you’ll be thrilled when we get there. Especially you, Xiaohui—you’ll definitely be screaming your head off!” Li Xiang beckoned with his hand and strode out the door.

”Brother Xiang, wait for me! I’ll scream too! WOO~~” Yao Yao was the first to follow, even letting out a preemptive cry.

She was, of course, just joking. She knew what kind of person Li Xiang was, didn’t she? If he really were into ’that kind’ of thrill, how could he possibly have kept his hands off the three of them all this time?

Zhao Xueqing and Lei Xiaohui exchanged a glance and quickly hurried after them.

All three women were curious.

「About ten minutes later.」

In front of them was a row of firearms and ammunition, with human-shaped steel targets set up twenty to thirty meters away. The three women were stunned at first, but then their faces lit up with excitement.

Five minutes later, Lei Xiaohui couldn’t hold back any longer. As she frantically sprayed bullets downrange, she let everything go and screamed at the top of her lungs, her shouts loud and uninhibited, just like a tomboy.

Yao Yao was even more into it, holding an automatic rifle and shouting ”WOO! WOO!” nonstop. Her shouts were exceptionally flirtatious and alluring, a completely different style from Lei Xiaohui’s.

In comparison, Zhao Xueqing was more reserved. Quiet and demure, she fired her gun with a faint smile playing on her lips, clearly just as engrossed.

”Brother Xiang, film a video for me! I want to post it online!” Yao Yao’s workaholic streak was showing again.

Li Xiang replied, ”Didn’t I say we weren’t doing any work today? We’re just supposed to be having fun!”

”Oh, come on, what’s wrong with having fun and shooting a video at the same time? Look, this is great content! It’ll definitely get a ton of traffic!”

Once Yao Yao asked to film, Zhao Xueqing and Lei Xiaohui weren’t about to be outdone. ”Brother Xiang, I want one too!” ”Film me too!”

Watching his three subordinates eagerly vying to work, Li Xiang, as their boss, felt very gratified. He didn’t even need to use any mind games on them.

After hiring his employees, he had secretly researched some ”management techniques,” only to find they were completely unnecessary.

So, he filmed a video for each of them, sent the clips over, and let them do their own editing.

Li Xiang didn’t forget to add a reminder: ”Remember to add a disclaimer to the video: ’Filmed at a legal, licensed shooting range with professional instruction.’”

Of course, that ”professional instructor” was Li Xiang himself.

The shooting range did have its own dedicated instructors, but when Li Xiang waved his hand and said they weren’t needed, they kept their distance.

The last time Li Xiang was here, his ”miraculous” performance had amazed everyone present. With an expert gunslinger like him around, what need was there for them?

After the videos were posted, someone commented: ”Are these the same ’little fairies’ who usually can’t even twist open a bottle cap? They’re so badass at the shooting range?”

A fan replied: ”You must be new here. That tall girl is an incredible martial artist, and the especially alluring one... I remember a video of her doing an intense dance routine. The quiet, demure one is no slouch either—she’s an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of long-spout pot Kung Fu Tea and can pull off all sorts of difficult moves with ease. They’re not exactly damsels in distress.”

The original commenter replied: ”Even so, they’re still badass! Could this be the awakening of their warrior-race bloodline?”
