The Master and His Wealthy Fiancée

That night, inside First Hospital.

Dr. Zhong Haixue, as usual, called Nurse Su into his office. After locking the door, he impatiently pulled her into an embrace and began groping her.

Unlike her previous reluctance and helplessness, Nurse Su was extremely cooperative today. She wrapped her arms around Zhong Haixue’s neck, gave him a couple of kisses, and then, with seductive eyes, began to help him undress.

A lecherous expression was written all over Zhong Haixue’s face. ”See? You’ve learned your lesson! Serve me well, and I’ll make you a permanent employee next month. It might even be possible for you to become head nurse in the future.”

As he spoke, he grabbed Nurse Su’s hand.

With a look of pure enjoyment, he said, ”That’s more like it! Take the initiative, and I guarantee you’ll thrive at this hospital. Not like that fool Xiaohong. If you’re not willing to serve me, you get the hell out.”

Just then, Nurse Su deliberately made her disheveled clothing even more revealing and messy, and a few tears welled up in her eyes.

Zhong Haixue thought this was just a new game of hers and became even more aroused.

But unexpectedly, the door was slammed open with a BANG!

A group of hospital administrators filed in.

Zhong Haixue was dumbfounded. ’What’s going on?’ He had no time to pull up his pants, let alone try to argue his way out of it. He’d been caught red-handed.

Almost all the hospital administrators were there, but his father, the vice director, was conspicuously absent. As stupid as he might be, he knew he had been set up.

He viciously pointed at the nurse, Su Xiaofang, and shouted a false accusation, ”It was this bitch! She seduced me! I just couldn’t resist the temptation, so I…”

An old man with silver-white hair, his face filled with fury, roared, ”You shut your mouth!” Then he looked at Su Xiaofang and asked, ”Nurse Su, what exactly happened? You can speak freely. No one here can threaten you!”

This Nurse Su was indeed a woman with an outstanding face and figure. Weeping, she said aggrievedly, ”Director Zhong… he threatened me. He said if I didn’t do what he wanted, he wouldn’t let me keep my job at the hospital… I… I…”

The more she spoke, the more the tears flowed, making her look all the more pitiful.

Zhong Haixue awkwardly pulled on his pants. He knew he had to pin the blame on her now, or he was finished.

He roared at Su Xiaofang, ”It was obviously you who wanted a permanent position, so you seduced me!”

Tears streamed down her face as Su Xiaofang shook her head. ”I have proof. Except for the first time he came to me, I recorded all the other times. His father is the vice director, so even with proof, I didn’t dare bring it out.”

This nurse, Su Xiaofang, was no simpleton. After being forced the first time, she had recorded the subsequent encounters, preparing to threaten Zhong Haixue in return. But this time, Liu Qi had found her and given her a number she couldn’t refuse—enough money that she wouldn’t have to worry for the rest of her life. With this money, she no longer needed to scheme and plot to survive at the hospital.

When Zhong Haixue heard this, his face turned ashen, as if his own father had died.

It looked like this incident wouldn’t just affect him; his father, the vice director, would be dragged down as well.

After Zhong Haixue was led away by the group, Liu Qi, who was at the back of the crowd, sent a message to Chen Dong.

”It’s done! The investigation confirmed what we heard. This Zhong Haixue is a real piece of work, with absolutely no medical ethics to speak of. Never mind taking bribes and misusing medications; using his position to threaten doctors and nurses under him was a common occurrence. He even has two deaths from medical malpractice on his hands, which his vice-director father covered up. On top of that, he was the one who got Dr. Jiang Yao fired.”

Chen Dong quickly replied:

”I could tell what kind of person he was from his face, but it’s always best to investigate things thoroughly. Since it’s come to this, don’t give a man like him any more chances.”

”Understood! I have more than enough evidence.”

And so, throughout the night, the senior leadership of First Hospital was incredibly busy.

Not only did they arrest Zhong Haixue, but they also received a string of solid evidence. This evidence also implicated Vice Director Zhong in abuse of power, accepting bribes, and more.

This led to Vice Director Zhong, who was still asleep at home, being forcibly taken away by hospital personnel in the middle of the night.

Faced with such evidence, the Zhong father and son had no room to argue whatsoever.

Because of this string of scandals, the hospital didn’t dare let the news leak. So, the senior leadership dealt with the Zhong father and son strictly and overnight. What awaited them was a future of endless prison meals.

This left the hospital’s senior leadership terrified. They believed that Jiang Yao’s backer had made a move. Jiang Yao had only just been fired, and then damning evidence against the Zhong father and son was secretly delivered.

After all, Jiang Yao was an expert renowned throughout Jiangzhou. A powerful figure must have owed him a favor and was now acting on his behalf to settle the score.

Therefore, the senior leadership unanimously decided to thoroughly investigate Jiang Yao’s case, clear his name, and invite him back to First Hospital to fill the newly vacant position of vice director.

Chen Dong hadn’t anticipated this line of thinking from the hospital’s senior leadership. For him, Jiang Yao’s dismissal was a karmic consequence of his own actions, and he had to repay that debt, no matter how much trouble it was.

This was also one of the reasons he had taken the initiative to treat Liu Qi’s son, Liu Luo.

Someone else who couldn’t sleep that night was Director Zhuang of Jianghua Factory.

Jianghua Factory’s main products were marble tables and other furniture.

In the span of a single night, not only had his main marble supplier called, but even lumber suppliers, cement suppliers, and others were demanding he settle his accounts, threatening to cut off all materials if he didn’t.

Director Zhuang, who had just been discussing with Zhuang Zhongjia how to get revenge on Chen Dong, was completely dumbfounded when he received the news.
