Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 5308: Long-Term Plan

In China, Commander Xia rubbed his temples as he was a little dizzy from staying up late. He turned off the television and rested for a while before working.

The situation in Libya was more complicated than a year ago. The Chinese had sent a total of 370 peacekeeping soldiers. The mission they carried was extraordinarily heavy.

The peacekeeping soldiers were in danger, and so was the engineering team that was supporting the construction of Libya. The special forces soldiers from the Xueyu unit, who were sent out a few months in advance, had arrived with Ye Jian. Their true mission would be assigned soon.

Commander Xia, who was seated at the table, flipped through a document with the word ‘top secret’ printed on it. This was the mission that Xia Jinyuan and the rest needed to complete.

A core scientist from a certain country has been under house arrest for a year because he wanted to return to his country to serve. The task of the Snow Region Special Forces is to rescue this scientist and bring him back to his country.

Five months ago, the Ministry of National Defense received an email full of strange symbols. After receiving the email, the information processor did not treat it as a prank email because the mailbox was encrypted.

After receiving this email that was formed by special symbols, the information processor immediately reported it to the National Defense Signals Management Center.

After three days of deciphering, the contents of the letter were finally deciphered.

A scientist who succeeded in a certain core technology in a certain country decided to return to China secretly to serve. He didn’t alert anyone and bought a plane ticket for his entire family on the pretext of going on a holiday. He planned to return to the country through the transit.

The scientist knew the consequences of his decision. Hence, he didn’t tell any friends about his plan. He didn’t even tell his wife or child. However, he was captured the night before he left.

All the information in his hands was confiscated, as well as his home phone and notebook. Before the notebook was taken away, he said that there was a rather important piece of information that needed to be sent to the research center. That was because the research center would need to use it tomorrow morning. He wanted to have the last chance to access a computer. The scientist would use a special method to send an email back to China. At the same time, he wouldn’t leave any traces on the computer.

The printed email was in Commander Xia’s hand. It was composed of all kinds of chemistry symbols, molecules, physics formulas, mathematical formulas, and even Roman numerals. Ordinary people would treat it like spam.

After deciphering it, it immediately attracted the attention of the higher-ups. In order to verify the authenticity of the email and the identity of the scientist, the Ministry of National Defense secretly sent people to investigate. The results were sent back to the country a week ago.

The contents of the letter were true. The scientist was under house arrest. Rescuing the scientist, his wife, and child was imminent.

After a few meetings, it was decided that Ye Jian would join the peacekeeping force and meet up with Xia Jinyuan.

However, Commander Xia didn’t expect Ye Jian and the rest to fight with the rebels before they even arrived at the company camp, causing a soldier to be shot in the arm.

At 4:00 pm, the 50 soldiers arrived at the campsite. The injured soldier immediately underwent surgery to retrieve the bullet in his arm. The female soldiers were also arranged by the soldiers in charge of logistics. Ye Jian didn’t need to do everything herself.

After White Crane parked the Jeep, he immediately informed his comrades. When they saw their captain bringing Ye Jian over, G3, T6, V8, and Z7, who were standing still, suddenly ran toward Ye Jian.
