Chapter 3891: Escape

But now, he wasn’t thinking about what Qin Maosheng was scheming. He was thinking about how to escape.

If the two of them acted separately… No.

Based on Cobra’s suspicious personality, if he and Luke split up and both of them returned alive, Cobra would definitely suspect something. After all, if the journey was so dangerous, why were they still able to come back alive?

He wouldn’t voice his suspicions, but he would start to distrust them. It would cause the foundation that Xia Jinyuan had worked so hard to build for more than a year to collapse. He would return to square one.

Hence, it was not advisable to escape separately.

Luke was the bodyguard who Cobra trusted the most. It would be better if the two of them stayed together.

Thus, Xia Jinyuan said, “If we split up and escape, we’ll still be chased. If the two of us escape together, we can still help each other. Don’t talk so much nonsense. Hurry up and run! Run up the mountain. As long as we run out of China, they won’t dare to cross the borders to catch us!”

“I hate being chased by dogs. The feeling of being chased by dogs is too frustrating!” Luke didn’t insist that the two of them escape separately. He had only mentioned it casually. If they really escaped separately… who would manage to escape and who would be caught?

They would either be caught together or escape together.

“If it’s really Qin Maosheng’s scheme, I swear that I’ll find an opportunity to blow his head off when I go back.” Hearing the barking of the dogs getting closer, Luke plunged into the dense forest. His movements were agile.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t stop either. However, when he rushed into the dense forest, he used the defensive weapon in his hand… He used the small folding sharp knife to leave two new marks on a tree.

This meant that only the two of them were escaping and no one was coming to receive them.

The armed police didn’t understand the mark. They didn’t linger around and continued chasing after Xia Jinyuan and Luke.

They didn’t understand what it meant when they saw the two marks. Major General Yang, who had been paying attention to this matter, understood. He sighed softly and said to Xu Yu, “Tell your soldiers that no one has come to reinforce them so far. Only two people are escaping.

“You guys continue to chase after them. If there are three marks, it means that people are coming to reinforce them.”

As the leader of the drug hunting team, Xu Yu would definitely send a certain number of soldiers to cooperate with the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade to secretly protect Ye Jian, who had entered the tiger’s den. As for Xia Jinyuan, he needed to cooperate with the military too and couldn’t ask too much.

Besides Major General Yang and Commander Xia, only Xia Jinyuan’s comrades who went on missions overseas knew that Xia Jinyuan had infiltrated Cobra’s side. No one else knew.

After getting an explanation, Xu Yu vaguely felt that there were undercover agents on their side. There must be more than one person too. There were undercover agents on their side. If not, how would they know that Qin Maosheng planned to kidnap female soldiers and make a deal with China?

An informant was a spy. They had one, and the military… had one too.

The only thing he didn’t understand was that his soldiers were chasing two escaped drug dealers. Why did the military send undercover agents to pose as drug dealers? If the military sent people to pose as drug dealers… Things shouldn’t be so simple.

Xu Yu didn’t know about Cobra, so he didn’t understand the situation.

It was impossible for the military to reveal everything to Xu Yu. He just needed to know that one of the two drug dealers being chased by the armed police was a Chinese soldier.
