Chapter 3808: The Cowardly Company Commander

Editor: Henyee Translations

The company commander, who was a little short of breath, asked Ye Jian secretly, “Should I not have ordered the battalion commanders of our 3rd Battalion just now… to stop where he was. Did I cause trouble just now? That roar just now, I had learned it from the political commissars. I just wanted to follow along.

“Alas, I can’t help it. I have a good relationship with the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion. We’re old friends. When I get married, he’ll even be my best man.”

Ye Jian and Ding Ling, students who hadn’t entered the military unit, looked at each other quickly. As it turned out, it wasn’t that the company commander was afraid. It just came as a belated reaction!

Also, the two of them learned something. Sometimes, one couldn’t be old friends with one’s superiors. It might backfire.

Now, their company commander had found himself in such a situation.

“You can say that this is an important task entrusted to you by the government. You can’t disobey the orders of your superiors. Then, ask for forgiveness from the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion.” Ye Jian saw that the company commander was still wiping the sweat off his forehead and continued in a low voice, “Also, you can say that you’ve been good friends for many years and couldn’t bear to see him without a wife yet, which is why you disregarded the hierarchy for a moment.”

The company commander’s good friend, Old Tie of the 3rd Battalion, had already walked over. The company commander quickened his pace and smiled as he walked over. Then… his stomach was punched by the iron fist of the 3rd Battalion’s commander.

“Company Commander, why did you ask me to stop?” The battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion, who was facing Ye Jian and smiling, revealed his white teeth. He spat out the words from his gritted teeth, “You’re bold. How dare you order me around? Those who don’t know might think that you’re a battalion commander and I’m a company commander.”

“I’m just doing my duty. I don’t dare to let down the political commissars. That’s why I was given permission to momentarily overlook ranks when it comes to your marriage. It’s only limited to your marriage.”

The company commander, who got punched in the stomach, felt bitter. He didn’t want to shout either. It was the battalion commander’s fault for trying to run away.

The moment he tried to run away, he ruined the plan!

The battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion didn’t blame the company commander. He knew that his old comrades were doing this for his own good. But wasn’t this… embarrassing?

“I’ll settle the score with you later.” As he spoke, the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion punched the abdomen of the company commander again. Hearing the other party gasp a few times, the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion felt much more comfortable. “The regimental commander and his sister are over there. Bring two students and greet the regimental commander.

“Let the two female students stay here and let the male soldiers disperse. They’re all a bunch of cowards. Just now, a female soldier had a problem and voiced out, but those good fellows ended up stuttering! How embarrassing!”

‘Aren’t you the same?’ That was what the company commander said in his heart. However, what he said was something else, “The male soldiers can leave, but you can’t, or I won’t be able to answer to the political commissars. I shouted at you too. You can’t let me shout for nothing. Let the two female students bring you onto the stage.”

“Ye Jian, Ding Ling, come over quickly! Bring the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion over to help.”

“Yes!” Two crisp and clear voices sounded at the same time. The two people who had been watching the entire process between the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion and the company commander sneaked over.

For the sake of the battalion commanders’ marriage, the company commander must have been so worried that his hair nearly turned white.

Moreover, he might get beaten up at any time.

In the end, the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion didn’t escape. He was brought to the stage.

The regimental commander, Du Kaiwei, couldn’t help but find it funny when he saw the battalion commander of the 3rd Battalion blushing. “Why are you acting like a teenage girl?”

“The company commander must be anxious. If not, how could he dare to order you to stop? If you’re not satisfied, I’ll punish him for you.”
