Ascendant Path of a Lustful Vampire

Chapter 392 392: Excited but nervous **

•••

It was many hours later before Caius and Anne were done which translated to Anne having passed out with a fucked-silly smile on her face. She spoke in her sleep quite a bit and Caius, lying by her side, was amused by how many times she called his name.

Eventually, he left her in the bed alone and returned to her study where he picked up his clothes. But as he was about to put them on and leave for home, he decided he had more than enough time to spare for a bath before he did.

And so, with his clothes in his storage ring, Caius walked to the bath and sank himself in the warm water that washed him of every impurity. He had only soaked for about a second when he sensed a presence walk into the bath.

”Youʼre back,” he said.

Right that second, a set of clothing was dropped onto the edge of the bath along with a belt with multiple pouches.

”I am,” Lea answered, ”I checked on Mom on my way here. Youʼve been busy.”

”Well, Iʼd just heard you two were planning a departure. You canʼt blame me if my goodbye was… intense.”

”Heh,” Lea laughed and the water was disturbed as she dropped into the bath and swam over to Caius.

”So,” Caius said as he pulled her close and turned her around so her back was pressed against his chest and her ass was pressing up against his hardening rod,

”How are the preparations?”

”Splendid,” Lea said, ”Itʼs not my first expedition. I know all the right places to go.”

”So itʼs complete?” Caius asked.

”More or less,” Lea answered.

”Hmm.”

”What?” Lea asked and turned her neck to get a look at his face, ”Do you not want us to go?”

Caius let out a sigh and pressed his lips to her neck before speaking.

”Apparently, the driving force of this journey is a request I made to Anne so to then turn around and say I donʼt want you to do it would make me seem unbalanced, I think.

Besides, I understand the reason why she needs to perform the research herself and I know there are times when delegating a task would utterly screw it up.

Also, Anne told me it has some significance for your relationship…”

”She told you that,” Lea said in disbelief.

”Is it not true?” Caius asked lightly.

”That we havenʼt taken a trip like this in decades— or ever? Yeah, thatʼs true. Just didnʼt think it would be important enough for her to mention it to you.”

”Well, she seems very excited about it,” Caius said, ”And Iʼm deducing by your tone that the feeling is mutual…”

Lea let out a breath.

”We… drifted apart long ago,” Lea said with melancholy,

”Before me, before dad, Mom had her adventures. She traveled the Acheron Empire and beyond, unearthing little pieces of lost history and civilizations. She seemed full of life. At least thatʼs how I heard it in the stories she told me as a child.

But when I grew, thatʼs all they seemed to be; Stories. Her adventuring days were behind her. So I naturally erred toward my father. He let me understand my Beast-Kin heritage. And where Mom seemed uninterested in my desires for Adventure—something she inspired in me with her stories—Dad encouraged it.

We havenʼt been very close since I began to take jobs for the Adventurerʼs Guild. Living in the same residence was our attempt to bridge the divide but it didnʼt work as hoped.

So am I excited? Yes. But Iʼm also nervous.

I now know her in ways I never thought I would. In ways no daughter ever hopes to know their mother. And now there is more that is new to our relationship as mother and daughter than there is that is familiar.

When she suggested the research trip, I canʼt begin to tell you how excited I was… at first. Iʼve dreamt of going on an adventure with my mother ever since I was a teenager. But then, I began to wonder, are we just riding a high and doomed to come crashing down hard and fast sooner rather than later?”

Caius paused when Lea was done and she became self-conscious.

”I said too much, didnʼt I?” she asked.

”No,” Caius said.

”Then I didnʼt make any sense?” Lea said, bashfully.

”You made perfect sense,” Caius reassured her.

He understood her perfectly. He also read between the lines for things she meant but chose not to say crudely.

”I think youʼre right to be uncertain. This is all new. To both of you. I think you might be forgetting that whatever youʼre feeling, sheʼs feeling as well.

Probably no one will understand you more than she does right now. And if thatʼs not a jumping-off point for a ʼproperʼ mother-daughter relationship, I donʼt know what is.

Also, do you really think the high will ever come crashing down?”

As he asked, Caius kissed Leaʼs neck, causing her to shudder as she leaned back and pressed her ass even harder against his hardening rod.

The implication was clear; He was the linchpin that made this new connection possible. The only way it would come crashing down was if the high they both felt at Caiusʼs touch could ever come crashing down.

And to that, Lea had a definite response,

”No,” she answered with a sharp intake of breath.

”Exactly,” Caius said, ”Youʼll be alright. You both will.”

Lea smiled at his comfort and let herself melt into his presence as they swayed in the water, letting a gentle current carry them about.

As they moved, Lea twisted until she pressed her lips to his in a bit of a sideways kiss. Caiusʼs arms around her loosened and she turned around completely to truly plant her lips on his.

”Hmm,” Caius let out at how energetic she was being, ”Eager, are we?”

”If mom got an intense goodbye, Iʼm due one too.”

”How could I possibly argue with that logic?” Caius asked rhetorically as he moved them towards the edge of the bath and pressed Lea up against the rim as he intensified their kiss.

His cock nudged at Leaʼs mound and she seemed much too impatient because she grabbed it and lined it up with her pussy so it could slide in while Caiusʼs tongue was roaming the inside of her mouth.

They let out groans that were stifled by the kiss and with the water undulating around them, they began to move. Leaʼs legs were around Caiusʼs waist and she used the rim against her back as leverage to thrust herself against him as hard as she could.

Caiusʼs groans became almost animalistic growls as he was overwhelmed by the grip that was around his cock. It didnʼt take much before he was trembling and jerking his hips to pump his seed into Leaʼs caverns.

The warmth triggered Leaʼs own climax and the moment Caius felt her hit the peak of pleasure for what was sure to be the first of many today, he pulled his lips from hers so he could trail his way to her neck.

”Do it!” Lea said in a breathy voice as she pulled at his hair to secure her grip on his head.

Not one to say no to an invitation like that, Caius opened his mouth and sank his fangs into her flesh, drawing out her blood in those tiny, yet bountiful, sips that sought to quench his seemingly never-ending thirst and worked his way to his stomach to soothe his insatiable hunger.

Throughout the feeding, Caius never stopped thrusting into Lea who never stopped thrusting herself back at him to intensify the impact of their contact.

And when Caius finally pulled his face out of her neck, Lea wasted no time capturing his lips in a kiss where she disregarded the metal taste she could detect and focused on keeping up her pleasure and riding Caiusʼs cock to multiple orgasms. Each more impactful than the last.

Hoping to ultimately turn her mind to mush so the memory of this moment was burned into her mind and easily accessed even in the days he was not with her.

Lea knew the memories could never be a proper substitute for Caiusʼs touch. But since nothing could anyway, this was really the next best thing.
