Ascendant Path of a Lustful Vampire

Chapter 268: Commitment **

Arlette sucked quite hard on the dick head in her mouth. As she did, she let herself slip a bit in her dedication to slow, methodical strokes of the organ as she began to let her hand glide across the length a bit faster.

”Ohhh,” Caius groaned as both his hands went down now to grab handfuls of Arlette’s hair, doing nothing about her position and what she was doing down there, and looking more like he was just hanging on for the ride.

His hips did jerk quite a bit though pushing a couple more inches of his cock into Arlette’s suckling mouth. Speaking of which, Arlette’s cheeks were sunken due to the sheer intensity of her fellatio.

But even as she pleasured Caius with her mouth, her mind could not help but be introspective about her earlier decline to be thanked because there was a little more to it than a simple dismissal.

Arlette made a decision weeks ago after she and Caius paid a visit to the Leopold Coven and that decision was to support his goals in what was a transition from her previous more simpler and more selfish motive to use him and be exempt from the negative aspects of his Vampiric Nature.

Since she had made that decision, Arlette had found that nothing she had ever attempted came as easily to her as helping Caius.

Granted, he had given her a massive resource—’Ophiuchus’—to be useful with but even if that were not the case, she believed her actions would not change. They would only be limited by penury.

In any case, her actions in service to Caius’s goals, most—if not all—of which had yet to be revealed to her, had caused Arlette to wonder what they were to one another now. Or more accurately, she wondered what Caius was to her.

She had never been in any actual relationships to which she could call on for reference so she was playing all this by ear. And even without that, Arlette didn’t think she had ever been the kind of gal to posit the question of ’So what are we?’ to her lover.

She believed this was something she had to ask herself and the answer could only come from herself because it didn’t really have anything to do with Caius.

Sometimes how you feel about a person has no bearing on how they feel about you and that was what was happening here; Arlette believed she needed to come to terms with how she felt about Caius regardless of how he felt about her.

So how did she feel about him?

During the weeks since their visit to the Leopold Coven, after which she had assumed the Management and Leadership of ’Ophiuchus’, Arlette had thought so much about that question that she sometimes wanted to smack herself in the forehead for how ’silly’ she was being. It felt like she was a teenager, navigating crushes.

To be fair though, she never had a real childhood or normal teenage years so maybe all this, so much confusion and so much shyness to see and call her relationship with Caius for what it was, were aspects she had missed in her development that were now coming back to her with a vengeance. That theory was both cute and annoying.

In any case, Arlette eventually got an answer. She had no name to call what she and Caius were to one another because nothing really fit. Nothing quite fit the level of commitment she felt for him as well as how irrational it would likely appear to an outsider.

After all, she and Caius had known each other a little over a month and the thought that she would throw herself into danger to spare him might sound like too much to a ’normal’ person fostering ’normal’ relationships. She couldn’t even bring herself to say it out loud to Caius himself out of embarrassment and worry that it would feel like too much too fast.

Arlette was well aware that this wasn’t a normal progression of a relationship. It felt like the kind of thing that burns hard and burns out fast but she staunchly believed only the first part of that statement was true here. It certainly burned hard but she didn’t see it burning out.

Again, this would likely be scoffed at by a normal person as being naive.

Hell, even Arlette didn’t quite understand it completely. But after weeks of thinking about it, she had accepted that it wasn’t supposed to make sense. There was a magic to it that kept it fresh. Kept it burning anew.

Arlette wouldn’t ever say the cock she was currently sucking on didn’t have anything to do with the adamant commitment she had for Caius because it actually played a considerable, mind-altering pleasurable role. As did his incredible unmatched looks.

But it was more than that.

Just being in his presence made her happy. Hearing him speak excited her. Watching him move, watching him walk, every minute aspect about his entire person, she adored. When his build was scrawny when they first met, she had loved his body. When he gained musculature, she loved his body still. Everything about him, no matter how little in detail, seemed built just to please her.

There were more, but that was at least enough to get the idea.

And so, to sum it all up, Arlette’s dismissal of Caius’s proposed gratitude wasn’t really just about an attempt to be humble. It was because she really just didn’t think what she had done was worthy of thanks because it was all so... normal and was expected for her to do it. She didn’t feel like she had gone out of her way to do something.

Just like how a normal person wouldn’t think to thank their nose for breathing and keeping them alive, Arlette didn’t expect or hope to be thanked for anything she did with Caius.

Throughout her introspection which had largely involved revisiting decisions and answers already provided to questions long asked, Arlette never lost focus on what she was doing. The fact that she was in the position she was in, performing a sexual act didn’t at all deter the meaningfulness of her thoughts. As stated earlier, this was all very much part of it. It was all very much part of Caius’s appeal to her.

Here she was, performing a service that should ordinarily be for his pleasure and his pleasure only but her snatch was tingling with pleasure and a need to be relieved. When she could ignore it no longer, Arlette took the hand she had on Caius’s abdomen—right above his groin—off so she could stretch it between her legs and stroke her fingers across her pussy lips.

As she did so, she was already aware it would not soothe their tingling. There was only one person who could do that and she was currently attempting to make his knees buckle with her fellating skills.

Despite how much her gliding fingers were not giving her relief, Arlette didn’t try to get Caius to do what she could not and just inched forward all the more to get even more of his cock inside her mouth. Soon, the large head poked at the back of her mouth, and by relaxing her throat, she let it slide in.

”Fuck!” Caius could not help but let out in a powerful groan. He even doubled over with his hands still in the Professor’s hair while his hips did a couple more jerks, feeding more of his imposing and girthy length down the Alchemy Professor’s gullet.

Arlette welcomed the hip thrusts and pushed forward until her nose was pressed into Caius’s crotch at which point there was no more of the cock outside of her mouth for her hand to stroke.

She stretched out her free hand to grab hold of Caius’s buns of steel that didn’t give at all under her squeezes partly because they were packed with muscle but mostly because of how much Caius was clenching due to the pleasured thrill traveling all over his body.
