Death… And Me

Chapter 2673  Into Place

Sister Orb mentioned countless times that her memories as the Universe Sentience were sealed, so there wasnʼt much the twinsʼ group could do about it. They could only turn their attention back to Kafan and wait for him to continue his story.

Bunbun didnʼt know anything about the Universe Sentience, so he stopped Kafan there. ʼUniverse Sentience? Is there such a thing?ʼ

Kafan nodded. ʼYes, but that was the only time I ever met it. Even if you ask me to do it again, it would be impossible since it was the sentience that pulled me into its personal space. It goes without saying that I heard about Chaos Laws and Chaos Origin Source from it.ʼ

ʼThe sentience of our entire Universe... just how powerful would it be,ʼ Bunbun couldnʼt help but wonder.

ʼIt was beyond what I could even think,ʼ Kafan added.

ʼSo?ʼ Roan forced Kafan to continue. If there was someone who couldnʼt care less about this ʼcertainʼ sentience, that someone was definitely him. ʼWhat happened after?ʼ

Kafan then pointed at the tower in the distance. ʼThe reason I was dragged to the Universe Sentience personal space was that thing over there.ʼ

ʼThe tower?ʼ Everyone asked at the same time.

Kafan nodded. Sister Orb could imagine why. [It seems possible. After all, there was not supposed to be such a tower inside the Chaos Origin Source.]

The twins wanted to ask more. One of the few things they knew Sister Orb had retained memories was the Chaos Origin Source. It wasnʼt necessary, though. Kafan explained it with his story.

ʼThe Sentience of the Universe told me that it wanted that tower to be destroyed.ʼ

ʼWhy?ʼ The others asked straight back.

ʼBecause that tower was causing harm to the Universe. You see, the Chaos Origin Source is where all the energies of the Universe come from. Iʼll tell you the same way the Sentience told me. The Chaos Origin Source is a separate space that canʼt really be categorized as a Dimensional Realm. It is even weirder than this Wonderland.ʼ

The twins already knew that from Sister Orb.

ʼThis space where the Chaos Origin Source exists acts as a kind of filter for the Chaos Laws and Energy,ʼ Kafan continued. ʼAfter all, the most you can find in the Universe is Divine Origin Energy; there is no Chaos Energy anywhere.ʼ

[Yes, that is also true.] Sister Orb confirmed. (Chapter 2055 for the full explanation of how the energies move in the Universe from the Chaos Origin Source.)

ʼThis tower, however, was harming this same space that filtered the Chaos Energy and Laws. Perhaps you shouldnʼt even look at it as a tower but as a huge, enormous needle. It was puncturing the ʼdomeʼ that was the Chaos Origin Source. That was very bad for the Universe itself and could cause countless problems.ʼ

[True as well. I told you before. The stronger the type of energy, the harder it is for life to be born. If Chaos Energy and Laws came out in their original status, our Universe wouldnʼt have even a thousandth of the lives it has today, if it had any at all.] (Also Chapter 2055)

Kafan couldnʼt hear Sister Orb, so he progressed the story. ʼI was baffled. I was suddenly pulled to an unknown place and a being of such power suddenly told me that the tower I released was causing a lot of trouble. I even wondered if I was going to be killed there because of the calamity I brought out. I thought I had not only implicated the Loporritsʼ Planet but the entire Universe as well.ʼ

ʼThe Sentience, however, didnʼt seem to care about what was happening that much. At the very least, I couldnʼt feel any anger from it,ʼ Kafan remembered the past. ʼAccording to its own words, it merely didnʼt like the feel it had from that ʼneedleʼ inside its Chaos Origin Source.ʼ

ʼThatʼs definitely Sister Orb,ʼ the twinsʼ group thought for a moment. They heard from Sister Orb that she didnʼt care about anything back then, even her own existence. Kafanʼs words simply confirmed it.

One must not forget that these events happened even before the extinction sphereʼs appearance, way before Soul Gem met the Universe Sentience.

Bunbun looked at the tower and had to ask. ʼDid it tell you what this tower is? Where did it come from?ʼ

Kafan nodded. ʼIt seems to be an ancient treasure from another Universe that was brought to our Universe in order to steal the Chaos Origin Source.ʼ

Immediately, the twinsʼ group made the connection with the tower and the Ruins of the Stars. That also included Romario and everything he had to do with it.

Kafan heard the whole story from the twins about the Ruins of the Stars. ʼYou are probably wondering why I havenʼt told you about it before, right? Since it was obvious this tower was related to the Ruins of the Stars.ʼ

Roan shook his head, though. ʼNo, I already know the answer. You were afraid of triggering my past life memories if you brought it up.ʼ

ʼYes,ʼ Kafan didnʼt deny it. ʼThatʼs why I couldnʼt tell you anything related to the Wonderland. At least not until you had awakened your memories. I was ready to keep it a secret forever if necessary.ʼ

Bunbun was just about to ask about the Ruins of the stars when he received a Divine Sense Message from Roan, explaining everything. Of course, the things related to the Soul Gem System were left out. ʼYou can ask more about it when he is done.ʼ

Bunbun was taken aback for a moment but nodded. ʼAlright.ʼ

Kafan was satisfied with Roanʼs quick action and continued. ʼYou all know about the Purple Crystal now, and Iʼm impressed Lolio created something similar. However, the towerʼs Purple Crystal has a difference. It has a Universe Foundation Fragment inside... that came from another Universe.ʼ

ʼJust like the Ruins of the Stars...ʼ Rean mentioned. The Ruins of the Star was a huge spaceship, and its main source of energy was indeed a Foundation Fragment from another Universe. ʼEverything is falling into place.ʼ
