Death… And Me

Chapter 2571  Sacred Eyes

”I can finally see it clearly... the first sub-law of Wood, Growth,” Celis commented as the rest of the medicinal properties of the Earth Life Pill slowly finished being absorbed. ”And this is... the first sub-law of Absorption, Sense.”

Because they had just recently entered the Space-Time Realm, they could barely scratch the surface of the sub-laws of their main affinities. Until this moment, they couldnʼt tell yet was they were ʼlookingʼ at. The sub-laws were there, but they were too ethereal for them to understand.

Now, however, they could finally distinguish the first sub-law they would need to comprehend in order to advance to the Middle Stage of the Space-Time Realm.

”This is definitely incredible...” Rean also ʼlookedʼ at the Laws of Light and Darkness gathering around him. He couldnʼt manipulate them yet since his cultivation was too low, but just the fact they gathered was enough to increase the power of both his Light and Dark Element Skills. ”First Sub-Law of Light is... Light itself. Or, to be more precise, the illumination property of Light. Should I call it Illumination sub-law or Light Sub-law?”

”Too confusing,” Kentucky complained. ”Iʼm going to use Illumination and thatʼs it.”

Roan agreed with Kentucky. For him, the simpler, the better. ”Illumination it is. As for the First Sub-Law of Darkness, obviously, it is the opposite of Light, Darkness... but to make it simple, letʼs just call it Darkening.”

All major laws used during the Space-Time Realm have four Sub-Laws in total. That goes according to the number of Stages of the Realm. At the moment, even with Roanʼs Pills, it was impossible to see the second Sub-law, though. That one would only become ʼvisibleʼ once the first one was fully comprehended. That also means it would only be possible to comprehend it once they advance to the Middle Stage of the Space-Time Realm.

Rean then looked at Celis, a little curious. ”Still, the first Sub-Law of Absorption is Sense? Does it have anything to do with Absorption?”

”Hmph! It has everything to do with Absorption,” Celis answered with a snort. ”The First Sub-Law is all about sensing every detail of all types of energy that I can absorb. In a certain way, my understanding regarding energies will be even higher than yours. As a consequence, the process of Absorption can be optimized according to the properties of each type of energy.”

”I see...” Rean felt a little jealous. ”If just I could comprehend this law, just how good would it be when I work on my next weapons.”

Roan then got up. ”Fortunately, as long as I concentrate, I donʼt need to stay still to comprehend the laws. You guys can also do it while cultivating here. Anyway, Iʼm going out. We need to reach the Essence Race home and get to work on that Fragment.”

Before Roan took his leave, Rean asked him something, and he accepted. Roan immediately left after that. Appearing outside, the Laws of Dark and Light gathered around him, which he used to comprehend the first two sub-laws. Sure, he made a marvelous pill, and it would increase their speed many times. Nonetheless, it would take many years until they fully comprehend the first Sub-Laws.

Roan then took out his communication badge and called a number. ʼWhere are you?ʼ

On the other side, Luanʼs Divine Sense answered the question through his communication badge. ʼIʼm still in the Devilsʼ Territory, father. Do you need help?ʼ

Roan nodded. ʼRean and I have just come back from the Heavens. How are the things in the war? Are the cultivators still hunting that Living Soul Devil and keeping the armies stuck?ʼ

ʼNo,ʼ Luan quickly began to explain. ʼThe Living Soul Devil seems to have fled the Realm of Gods. Thanks to that, the Divinity Realm experts returned to their armies, and the attacks resumed. Of course, Father has been out for just two years, so things didnʼt change much from the time Uncle Rean was here.ʼ

ʼIt left the Realm of Gods?ʼ Roan narrowed his eyes. ʼIt needs Living Souls to increase its power, and it seemed to have some kind of ability to detect when experts came after it. How do they know it left the Realm of Gods?ʼ

Luan agreed. ʼI thought the same thing. However, that was truly what was passed to us. Father knows I have just advanced to the Initial Stage of the Elemental Space Realm not long ago, and no one knows Iʼm involved with you. The information available to someone at my level is quite restricted. I havenʼt asked either since I didnʼt want to catch suspicion. Iʼm here only to train, as Father told me to do.ʼ

ʼItʼs good that you know,ʼ Roan was satisfied with the answer. ʼDonʼt worry. I know who to contact to learn more about this.ʼ

ʼI thought so,ʼ Luan said. ʼSo, why did father call me?ʼ

ʼActually, it is the idiot who asked for you,ʼ Roan thought about Reanʼs request. ʼRean want to have your help... or, to be more specific, your eyesʼ help. Since Iʼm going back to the Devilsʼ Territory, I can pass by the continent where your army is stationed at the moment.ʼ

Rean was going to try to refine the Fragment Huban has in his Dimensional Realm. However, the Extinction Sphere energy was something he didnʼt know much about. Before attempting to refine it, he wanted Luan to take a look with his Sacred Eyes to see if there was anything he could learn. Thatʼs why he asked Roan to contact Luan, who was training after his breakthrough into the Elemental Space Realm.

Luan didnʼt think twice. ʼGreat! I also accumulated a good amount of Serene Gold Filament since Uncle Rean mentioned he would try to make that new circuitry armor of his for me as well. It isnʼt as much as Uncle Rean and Kentucky earned, but it should help.ʼ

ʼThatʼs perfect,ʼ Roan didnʼt forget about the armor, nor did Rean. ʼHe might as well work on this new Circuitry Armor of his when we get there.ʼ

ʼThen it is settled,ʼ Luan felt excited to join Rean and Roanʼs group again. ʼIʼm in Troncal Continent at the moment. Should I go somewhere else to meet you, Father?ʼ

ʼNo need,ʼ Roan already checked which continent it was and it wasnʼt too far from Hubanʼs Continent. ʼIʼll fetch you in a few days. Donʼt go out during this time.ʼ
