Death… And Me

Chapter 1915 I see...

ʼKentucky, do you want me to talk with the Minokawa, or will you do it yourself?ʼ Rean asked.

Kentucky pondered over it for a bit before answering, ʼIʼll do it.ʼ

ʼAlright, then.ʼ Hearing that, Rean decided to warn him. ʼJust make sure you use my Light bending skill to hide your crown of feathers. Also, you better not talk about your father and things like that. Since youʼre a Minokawa from the outside that they obviously donʼt know about, some of them could possibly link you to the Regal Minokawa. That could cause other races to maybe try and kill you. Well, thatʼs very unlikely in this place, though.ʼ

Kentucky couldnʼt help but ask after that. ʼIf I donʼt talk about that, what else can I talk about? Would I ask them where to find the Minokawa Race? I can get the answer to that question from the other demon beasts. To be honest, I donʼt have much more to ask other than that.ʼ

Rean shook his head when he heard that. ʼHmm... from what you told me about your conversation with your father, the problem was that other races would try to get rid of you. Since you want to talk about your family and what happened to you, isnʼt it better to get the demon beastsʼ protection? You couldnʼt do that before because you were in the humanoid racesʼ territory. However, youʼre in the demon beastsʼ territory now. In that case, it might be better for you to reveal your Regal Bloodline and obtain their protection. Perhaps, they might pour a lot of resources into you so that you can grow stronger. Naturally, theyʼll make sure youʼre well-protected as well.ʼ

ʼYou think so?ʼ Kentucky had to admit Rean was right. He wouldnʼt need to be afraid of being killed by humanoids, devils, angels, spirits, or whatever if he was already in the demon beastsʼ territory. ʼBut... that would also have me locked down, just like what they did to Jakar. I quite like traveling around with you guys. Not to mention that our cultivations are shared, so the extra resources will still be split between the four of us.ʼ

Rean smiled in response. ʼThatʼs correct. Weʼll still continue to be linked to each other. That means youʼll always know where to find us if you wish to. As far as I can see, you have two options. First, keep your Regal Bloodline hidden, and donʼt say anything to the Minokawa that Placake is going to call over. Second, reveal it and live with the demon beasts. Placake just so happens to be a Regal Azure Dragon, which explains his position among the demon beasts. You can even talk to him straight away.ʼ

ʼI... have to think about it,ʼ Kentucky said as he couldnʼt reach a decision.

Rean could only smile after that. ʼWell, for someone as lazy as you, the idea that the demon beasts will make you train like thereʼs no tomorrow is what probably terrifies you the most. But then again, you would be trading Roan for them, so I wonder who can be more strict.ʼ

Kentucky felt a chill on his back when he heard that. ʼThe demon beasts as a whole or Roan. Itʼs hard to tell who would be worse...ʼ Then again, that also meant something else. ʼThe problem is that if I decide to stay with you, I wonʼt be able to ask the Minokawas about my parents.ʼ

Rean didnʼt see a problem with that. ʼYou said it yourself back then, didnʼt you? You barely had to chance to meet your father... or your fatherʼs soul remnant in that feather. Itʼs not like you suddenly developed some deep love for him, right?ʼ

Kentucky wanted to agree with Rean. ʼWell, no... but he did teach me a lot during the time we spent on that floating island. It just doesnʼt feel right to simply ignore it.ʼ

ʼIs that so?ʼ Rean smiled again. ʼThen just do what you think is the right thing to do. I wonʼt intervene anymore.ʼ

Kentucky nodded and ended his talk with Rean.

However, Celis was also there in the Dimensional Realm. He also had a connection with Rean and Roan, but itʼs mostly due to his pact with Kentucky, becoming Kentuckyʼs nest. ”You better let me know what you decide.”

”Donʼt worry,” Kentucky replied. ”Iʼll come up with something by then.”

Outside, Placake changed the topic with Rean. ”What about that System Sect of yours? Iʼm pretty sure you still have it in your Dimensional Realm. Are you going to bring it out?”

”That depends,” Rean answered. ”What do you intend to do with it if I decide to bring it out? There are a lot of humanoid race members there. In fact, except for two guys, all of them are humanoids. Would you be okay if I suddenly set the sect somewhere inside the demon beastsʼ territory?”

Placake pondered over it for a bit and nodded. ”Makes sense. From what I know about the Free Continent competition, you kept most of the Circuitry Formation technology inside the System Sect. When you moved it back to your Dimensional Realm, you brought it all away with you. Even I wouldnʼt believe myself if I said that we demon beasts wouldnʼt try to force our way inside to confiscate it all.”

Rean immediately shook his head. ”Fuck the Circuitry Formations! Who the hell cares about that?!”

”This...” Placake was taken aback by Reanʼs words.

Though, Rean wasnʼt finished yet. ”You can take it all if you want. Since Iʼm already going to teach you, having access to them earlier or later doesnʼt mean anything to me. Iʼm talking about my sect members! Theyʼre the important point in this conversation. All the Circuitry Formation knowledge I have isnʼt worth a single life of theirs. Iʼm asking about what you would do to them!”

Placake looked at Mladrem, Gardo, and Linfia after that. However, the other three also didnʼt expect that kind of response.

”Be careful,” Linfia warned. ”Humanoids are known for being shameless and deceptive.” Well, one could already expect that kind of answer from her.

”Errr...” Placake could only consider that. ”Then, if you bring your System Sect out, you wonʼt stop us from looking into them?”

Rean looked at Placake as if he was looking at an idiot. ”Where exactly do you expect me to teach them about Circuitry Formations? It would obviously be there as it already has the best environment.”

”I see...”
