Death… And Me

Chapter 1397: Small Help

Seeing Falangia put her clothes back so fast made Rean laugh out loud. ”Hahaha! So you werenʼt feeling hot, after all. Still, why the hell would you think we wanted to have sex with you? Is that a common thing in the Treavin Continent?”

Normally, Falangia wouldnʼt feel embarrassed with this kind of situation. She then remembered the twins came from outside Treavin, so she explained.

In this place, raping and things like that were normal. It also went both sides, so both men and women suffered from it. Of course, women were assaulted several more times for obvious reasons. Here, good had no meaning. Thatʼs why Falangia immediately thought she had to have sex with the twins. It wouldnʼt be the first time she was forced into this situation, and it wouldnʼt be the last either. Recently, such problems diminished because she entered the Core Formation Realm. That meant she had some strength for protection.

Then again, it was useless if the other side was at the Nascent Soul Realm or above. Naturally, Nascent Soul Realm cultivators were still relatively common. Itʼs just that in the Treavin Continent, the average age of those who reached the Nascent Soul Realm was at least double compared to Huring and Lanqueas Continent, for example.

Reanʼs smile disappeared as he heard more about it. ”This... sorry for asking such a thing.”

Falangia was even more surprised. Someone with Reanʼs power could dominate a city, so one would never hear them apologizing for anything. ”It seems like the outside is quite different...”

Rean nodded and said, ”I wonʼt say it is perfect. The strong are those who rule outside as well. Iʼm sure that things like that happen from where we came from since thereʼs no such thing as a perfect world. However, raping is looked down upon by the majority, with the exception of countries governed by evil path cultivators. Here, however, it seems like to be a common thing regardless of the place.”

Falangia couldnʼt help but ask, ”Are you really not going to ask me to service you? You do have the power to do that.”

Rean and Roan had absolutely no interest in doing such a thing, though. ”Donʼt worry, we have principles. Even if you were willing to, we wouldnʼt do it anyway since we have our own loved ones. Theyʼre the only ones for us.”

Falangia thought that to be strange. ”So what if you have someone else? Thereʼs no lack of strong cultivators in this country who build their own harems. There are even a few female cultivators who have become strong enough to make their own male harems as well.”

Rean shrugged his shoulders after hearing that. ”Sorry to disappoint you.”

Falangia sighed in response. ”No, I guess Iʼm at fault here... itʼs just that this is the kind of reality Iʼve been living my entire life. Even before my body was old enough to have such a relationship, I had already lost my virginity to some drunk guys. Here, you have to cope with it and press forward if you want to survive. Only when you get a high enough cultivation will you get to make the rules.”

Falangia saw the dark expression on Reanʼs face and continued, ”Thereʼs no need to feel sad for me. Sure, Iʼve been used many times, but you saw that, didnʼt you? I was also part of that bandit group. In the same way I was brutalized, I have brutalized many people too. Thatʼs the law in this country and possibly the entire continent. I donʼt know much about the entire Treavin, but I at least know it is a desert everywhere. Maybe things are a little different at the center of the continent, though. Anyways, Iʼm far from being an innocent girl.”

Rean looked at Roan, who nodded. ʼI canʼt detect any lies in her words. Itʼs probably because weʼre much stronger than her that she doesnʼt dare to invent things. She should know that trying to deceive those with higher cultivation comes with great risks, especially in a place like this. Sheʼs very intelligent to admit she wasnʼt any better than the others who did everything to her, so you have to give some praise there.ʼ

Rean agreed with Roan. ʼSigh... the cultivation world really makes Earth look like a paradise.ʼ

Suddenly, Kentucky stopped several kilometers away from the city. ”Alright, this should be enough.” Kentucky then looked at Falangia and said, ”If things really are like you described, then youʼre just asking to be killed if you enter the city while holding that Rank Two Divine Stone. You should use it to break through before we continue forward.”

Rean was surprised by Kentuckyʼs insight. ”Thatʼs very thoughtful of you.”

Kentucky laughed in response, saying, ”Itʼs my mission to protect all females of the world, regardless of their race. Hahaha!”

Falangia couldnʼt help but ask, ”Whatʼs wrong with him?”

Roan shook his head in response. ”Just ignore the perverted bird. However, he is right. Since Rean gave you that Divine Stone, you should use it right now. It should be enough for you to enter the Middle Stage of the Core Formation Realm.”

Falangia couldnʼt help but ask, ”You know Iʼm not any better than others, so why are you trying to help me?” It was in her nature to be doubtful. No, it was better to say it was in everyoneʼs nature when it comes to Treavin Continent. As far as Falangia knew, the twins might be doing that with some ulterior motives behind their curtains.

Rean didnʼt seem to care, though. ”I told you, weʼre different. Alright, if you donʼt want the Divine Stone, then Iʼm taking it back. We canʼt stay here forever.”

Falangia immediately shook her head, clutching tightly onto the stone. ”No, wait! I want it!” She then sat down on Kentuckyʼs back and took a deep breath. Soon after, she started to absorb the Divine Stoneʼs energy. She had never felt so much energy like that before, so her bottleneck shattered like a stone being thrown against glass.. Naturally, she easily reached the Middle Stage of the Core Formation Realm.
