Death… And Me

Chapter 646 - How Should He Deal With That?

Later that day, Rean and Agis put their collars back and left with Frandin. Surprisingly, Firmel didnʼt insist on the issue of entering the Rank Five Bloodline Trial. After all, since their Master could make an item appear without the help of Spatial Equipment, he could probably do the same thing with his disciples. After all, the room where they had their private conversation was supposed to be fully sealed. However, it still proved useless against Haval(Roan).

Firmel didnʼt ask about the plans of Reanʼs group either. All he knew was that it was directly related to the Soul Rulers. A Celestial Land with connections with that power wasnʼt anything unusual. It only added more to Firmelʼs conviction. It was then agreed that Reanʼs group will come by to take Clad later. They did the same thing as Xiria, leaving the healing pill behind in case Clad gave up in the next few days.

On their way back to the city, Rean and Roan connected with the rest of the group to talk about it.

ʼAs you can see, Firmelʼs objective was to have his son join the Unity Celestial Land from the very start. The good thing is that his son is even better than Xiria. Heʼs older than her, but heʼs already in the Initial Stage of the Core Formation Realm. Besides, his son does have an Earned Rank Five Bloodline Soul Mark.ʼ

Agis nodded as he said.

ʼHe also took Roanʼs poison pill. Say, Roan. What are the chances of them having a way to heal the poison in his body?ʼ

Roan pondered for a bit before saying.

ʼIt shouldnʼt be possible without someone with Dark Element Affinity. However, Firmelʼs family definitely has much more resources than the Asume Clan. Even if theyʼre in a feud with the Empressʼ side, theyʼre still direct descendants. Well, secret direct descendants.ʼ

That was the issue. Roan was pretty sure that the Asume Clan wouldnʼt have a way to clean his poison from Xiriaʼs body. But the Imperial Clan was different. Roan didnʼt think he was an omnipotent god or anything.

ʼArenʼt they afraid we would escape after we left Firmelʼs estate?ʼ

ʼIt doesnʼt matter. Firmelʼs side branch is with its back against the wall. He canʼt risk making an enemy out of us since he thinks weʼre from the Unity Celestial Land. He can only trust that weʼll keep our word and bring his son together.ʼ

ʼThe problem is that weʼre not part of any Celestial Land whatsoever. What will happen once Clad realizes it?ʼ

Calina then suggested.

ʼWhat about having Roan plan his training routine and make him understand that his best option is to follow us regardless. I mean... it worked out for Frandin.ʼ

Qia shook her head as she replied.

ʼThe issue here is his familyʼs problem. Even if our training methods can make him stronger faster, he wouldnʼt have the background to keep his branch safe. A Zasfin as proud as him probably wouldnʼt accept to have been deceived by us. Even if it meant his death, he would try to leave our side to warn his father that the plan failed.ʼ

Roan agreed with Qia.

ʼExactly.ʼ

Frandin found this conversation a little weird, though. With that, he commented.

ʼErrr... Why are we even talking about it? So what if he finds out that it was all a farce? We can simply leave him behind once we get what we need. We have no need to keep our word or anything like that, right? If you feel bad about this, you can simply tell him the truth and make him decide whether to keep following us or not. If he refuses, give him the healing pill and let him go back on his own.ʼ

Everyone was surprised by Frandinʼs words. Indeed, why were they putting so much thought into it? Isnʼt Clad a Zasfin that obviously didnʼt like humans? Why should they care?

ʼFrandinʼs correct. Leave this topic aside. Weʼll simply use him until weʼre safe. After that, weʼll leave it up to him.ʼ

Everyone agreed as they nodded. Considering how Zasfins treated humans in this world, they could already be regarded as saints by simply letting him leave later on. After all, the struggle among the Imperial Family members wasnʼt their problem.

With that said, Reanʼs group went back to the workshop. After they arrived there, Rean went straight to the workshop.

”What will you do now?”

Rean gave a playful smile at them before saying.

”With Firmel on ʼour side,ʼ we basically have a free pass to sell my weapons and armors in the auction house. Shouldnʼt I take this chance to increase our reserves of Spirit Stones?”

”Oh! Thatʼs true. Weʼll help.”

Rean nodded as he said.

”Great. I intend to make different elemental weapons, so Iʼll need your Elemental Affinities. Of course, they wonʼt be the Elemental Energy Gathering type. I will also work on my new project of Light Element Equipment to see if Agis can use my Spiritual and Light Bending skills. Frandin has no need for it since he doesnʼt need to hide his cultivation. As for the girls, youʼre all Yin Energy cultivators, so itʼs impossible to do that.”

They didnʼt mind and immediately stepped forward to follow Reanʼs command. However, Rean noticed that there was someone missing. Well, Roan wasnʼt there since he was working on his Soul Power, trying to come up with a new training routine. Rean was thinking about someone else.

”By the way, whereʼs Calina?”

Qia and Malaka smiled at each other before saying.

”Why do you think we bought so many things? We wanted to make her as cute and beautiful as possible. She should be testing the effects of the transformation right now.”

Rean, Agis, and Frandin couldnʼt help but laugh.

”Hahaha! I donʼt think itʼll work on Roan.”

Qia and Malaka nodded.

”We know. Then again, itʼs better than not trying anything, right?”

Rean shrugged his shoulders as he replied.

”Well, I guess thatʼs true.”

Qia then got close to him before hugging him from behind, much to his surprise as she whispered in his ears.

”By the way, what about me? Arenʼt you willing to give me a chance?”

The others didnʼt find it strange. After all, only Roan knew that Reanʼs marriage was a farce back then. However, it was quite rare to see those two that close. Not that they found it weird, though. After all, the Sasamil Family disappeared because of the Soul Gem System. It was hard for Qia to overcome this fact even if they tried to act the same way as before.

”Ahem... Roan and I are still the reaso-”

Qia then closed Reanʼs lips with her finger.

”Your fault? We both know that isnʼt true. You would never let that happen if you had the power to stop it. Sure, Iʼm still sad about everything that happened, but Iʼm not an idiot. I only needed time to recover from it. Thatʼs why I havenʼt tried anything else since then. However, seeing Calina going all out with her emotions, I feel like Iʼm losing to her. That deeply bothers me. With that said, Iʼm restarting my plan of becoming your wife for real.”

Rean scratched the back of his head. How should he deal with that now?
