The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1564: Chapter 1564: Welcome Back Anytime (10)

After a lively lunch with everyone at noon, Yang Ruxin got busy. Having been away for so long, there were many things that needed sorting out.

Fortunately, Du Chengfeng and his wife were truly capable. Whether it was the shop, the workshop, or the estate, the accounts were all meticulously managed—even the transport team’s accounts were precise.

Moreover, each transport team returned once, and the next dispatch was also handled by him.

His ability to execute his own initiative was quite exceptional.

Meanwhile, his wife, Ye Family, was also highly competent in her role as the housekeeper. Not only did she register everyone, but she also assigned them to suitable positions.

”Now, three small buildings have already been erected, and the furniture has been placed inside. You should allocate the manpower as well... I brought back more than ten people with me. They are all unfortunate souls from the battlefield... Currently being trained in the nearby county...”

”Alright.” Ye Family nodded. ”By the way, Miss, Qin Family approached me yesterday. She said she dreamt about her son, and he was in Beijing. So, she asked me to plead with the master on her behalf to see if her contract could be ended early. She wants to go to Beijing to search for her son...”

Yang Ruxin frowned slightly but then nodded. ”You can tell them to come and speak with me directly.”

Ye Family nodded and left.

Xu Shou and his wife arrived quickly and knelt upon entering. ”Miss, we want to go find our son.”

”Stand up.” Yang Ruxin gestured with her hand. ”Stand and speak.”

The couple stood up.

”I can give you your contracts ahead of time, but have you considered what happens if you can’t find him?”

”If we can’t find him...” Qin Family’s lips trembled slightly.

”If we can’t find him, we’ll beg on the streets. We can always find a way to survive.” Xu Shou gave a bitter smile, but his eyes were full of determination.

Yang Ruxin didn’t say anything further. Instead, she took a stack of Selling Covenants out of her backpack, flipped through them, then pulled out two contracts and handed them over. ”If you can’t find him, you’re welcome to return at any time. Just don’t head north anymore; there’s ongoing warfare in the north...”

”Thank you.” The couple accepted the contracts, knelt again, and kowtowed three times before leaving to pack their belongings for their journey to Beijing.

Yang Ruxin instructed Du Chengfeng to send them some silver later. As for how much, she left it to his discretion.

At this moment, Dong Wenxiu sent Yang Miao to summon Du Chengfeng and his wife. Why? Because tomorrow was Yang Ruxin’s coming-of-age ceremony. They had feared earlier that she wouldn’t make it back, but now that she was here, the preparations naturally needed to commence.

In Dong Wenxiu’s words: In the past, there were no conditions to hold a proper ceremony. Now that conditions allow, Xinxin mustn’t be neglected.

When there’s a happy occasion in the countryside, families typically host feasts. The grandest form is the banquet feast.

The Yang Family had hosted banquet feasts before, so they had experience. What’s more, they now had plenty of staff, so it was immediately decided to hold the feast at noon the next day.

Du Chengfeng, as the supervisor, was given only half a day to plan everything, including managing purchases and arrangements.

Yang Ruxin didn’t concern herself with the household preparations. Instead, she took Xiaofeng along to deliver gifts while touring around the village.

First, she chatted with the village chief about plans for building a school in the village, then visited two elder clan members to discuss the war at Border City. Afterward, she visited several familiar families before finally arriving at Aunt Hehua’s house.

Aunt Hehua’s twin sons were now over four months old. Both were chubby and adorable. Although they couldn’t sit yet, they were already rolling back and forth on the bed by themselves.
