Chapter 1785  Commander Edson Suspicion (1)

Tang Shaoyang was surprised by the notification, not expecting the white-haired man to be a king from the Void Cult. ”Battle King? Isnʼt he too weak to be the king?”

He had experienced the emperor, and while he did not really fight the emperor, the first exchange was terrifying. It would take him a lot of time to kill the emperor; in fact, he did not know if he could win against the emperor. The emperor did not go all out, even though he could say the same for him.

”He is part of the eleven kings?” Zara and Avyn were also surprised. ”Maybe thatʼs his title, but he is not part of the eleven kings?” Zara added.

After their experience with the emperor, they expected the king to be much more than this. Even though they managed to catch this man off guard, it was still too easy even for a king. They would expect a fightback from a king, yet the white-haired man was too weak to bear the title.

Tang Shaoyang shrugged. ”We will find out when we bring his head back to Edson. It seems like they know each other.”

”And we find out their weakness. The Dark Poison and the Chaos Energy seem to be working on them!” He mixed Dark Poison into his arrow. It worked because the hole on Soaresʼ shoulder was not healing. When he fought the emperor, he used Heavenly Energy to cut the emperorʼs arm, and the emperor regrew the arm instantly.

Tang Shaoyang stored the corpse in his inventory, at the same time, he noticed the movement in the void creature horde. Through his birdʼ view, he saw the horde starting to move. Except for the void creatures around him, his skeletons, and his spirits, they all charged forward, scattered all around in massive numbers. And of course, the Void Gate still spewed the void creatures.

The fight continued as if Soaresʼ death was nothing to the horde. They did not seem trying to avenge their leader if Soares was their leader. Tang Shaoyang kept an eye on his Skeleton Army. Even though he did not say it out loud, he was aware that his skeleton army was still weaker than his spirits. His concern was for more the Skelly Family than the skeletons. The skeleton army could be replaced, but he grew attached to the Skelly Family.

To his surprise, they were doing well even though the horde rushed toward them. They did not get pushed back despite being outnumbered by the void creatures. As for the spiritʼs side, Vandir summoned all his undead. This was the first time he saw the skeleton spirit summon all its undead. He even saw the undead Tang Shaoyang. He thought Vandir took the bet as something fun, but the skeleton necromancer took the bet seriously by summoning all undead in his armory.

”I guess I will have fun too.” Tang Shaoyang started to form different types of arrows. An arrow made of black fire that would explode upon hit, engulfing the void creatures in black fire. From the black lighting to various kinds of elements, even he could form an arrow with dark poison. The arrow made of dark poison was not deadly, but the aftereffect was. The arrow would explode into black gas that poisoned the void creatures in range. The poison cloud also lasted for quite some time, and whoever entered the poison, never came out again.

Then he started to add more arrows in each shot, from two arrows until he could fit seven arrows in one shoot. It was surprising how he enjoyed the bow, something he thought he did not like until he tried it. Another surprise was that he learned two new skills for archers, [Volley], [Piercing Shot], and [Hurricane Shot].

He shot an arrow into the air, and when it came down it split into twenty smaller arrows containing deadly force, that was [Volley]. The skill worked perfectly with his special arrows like the black fire arrow, the lightning arrow, and many more.

As for [Piercing Shot], the name itself already explained what it was dead. It basically ignored the armor, piercing through the armor and the body. If he used the normal arrow, it could pierce up to twenty void creatures with armor. If he used an arrow made of Chaos Energy, then it could pierce more than a hundred void creatures.

The same with [Hurricane Shot], basically an arrow is shot into a hurricane. It shredded and blasted everything in its path. However, despite the huge force behind the hurricane, some of the void creatures still could hold against the hurricane, standing on their ground. The best part was when he infused his dark fire into [Hurricane Shot]. It turned into a fire hurricane, burnt, tore, and blasted the void creatures.

Tang Shaoyang liked the bow even more when he discovered the new skills. While it was not powerful if he fought an individual on the same level as him, it would do wonders to use it in a big battle like this. He just needed to be more careful about his dark poison arrow, to avoid the friendly fire on the battlefield.

As for Battle King Soares, he already forgot about the man quickly with how much he had with his bow. He did not think of Soares as one of the eleven kings, but someone with a high position in the Divine Cult. He regarded Soares on the same level as the Chief Administrator in the Administrator Space. They were respected, but he was stronger than most of them from his experience meeting all the Chief Administrators so far.

Tang Shaoyang held his ground, maintaining control of his Chaos Blades while firing the arrows from the distance. As the battle continued, he started to understand why people dreaded this place. He did not know how long he had fought, hours? He did not remember, maybe it had been a day already, and yet the void gate kept pouring out the void creatures.

”Did the sky even turn dark?” He was having so much fun with his toy that he lost track of time.
