I'm Trapped in the Block

Chapter 376: Chapter 373: Precautions

The moment Li Luo saw the glaring red text, she froze.

Mo Ling also quickly looked at the densely packed list of rules.

”Do not leave your room on the ship. The room is fully equipped, and daily necessities and food will be delivered via a transport channel.”

”Do not make loud noises in your room...”

”The following types of music are prohibited on the ship: heavy metal, whistling, highly repetitive children’s songs...”

”Do not make any noise between 3:00 and 4:00 AM.”

”Do not bring reptile jerky aboard the ship...”

”...”

The rules went on and on. Li Luo kept scrolling down, all the way to the very bottom.

”Do not throw paper wads in your room using a basketball shooting form...”

The further down she scrolled, the more outrageous and specific the rules became, to the point of being utterly absurd.

”I will now inspect your luggage. You can read through these rules at your leisure once you are aboard the ship.”

Seeing Li Luo frozen in place, the robot gently reminded her.

”Okay.” Li Luo set down her backpack.

The robot walked over, scanned the bag, and finally pulled a fluffy, brown article of clothing from inside.

”This type of clothing is not allowed on board.”

”Why not?” Li Luo asked, confused.

The robot said nothing, instead picking up its tablet, scrolling to a specific section, and pointing to one of the rules. ”Do not bring clothing resembling bear fur aboard the ship.”

Li Luo’s eyes widened in astonishment as she stared at the rule.

After reading it several times to be sure, she looked again at the confiscated item.

”This is bear fur?”

The robot was quite patient in the face of Li Luo’s question. It held up the garment, turned it around, and pulled out the hood.

It was a hood shaped like a little bear, and it looked very childish.

Li Luo’s face immediately flushed red. ”This counts?” she asked, frustrated.

”Please trust our judgment,” the robot said very seriously, holding the garment.

”Fine.” Li Luo nodded and let the robot take the clothing.

”Can I ask why this kind of clothing isn’t allowed?” Li Luo couldn’t contain her curiosity.

”Wearing this type of clothing will get you attacked by a species resembling bears. Although you will be inside the ship where they cannot see you, we recommend not bringing such items to ensure your safety after you disembark.”

Li Luo nodded. ’There must have been precedents for all these rules.’

”Are the other rules for similar reasons?” Li Luo pressed.

”Yes. Most of them are to ensure your safety.”

”Okay.” Li Luo nodded.

”You may board now.” The robot finished repacking Li Luo’s backpack and handed it back to her.

With that, it led Li Luo toward the ship.

Li Luo kept her head down, still looking through the strange rules.

Just then, as if sensing something, she suddenly turned her head and looked behind her.

Not far away on the dock, several figures were watching her.

Lin Nian, Jitai, Si Yang...

Not a single one of them was missing. They just stood there quietly in the distance, gazing in her direction.

Li Luo froze, her eyes instantly welling up.

’She was avoiding the farewell, and they knew she was avoiding it.’

’But that only made it all the more painful.’

Li Luo wanted to steel her heart and turn away, but halfway through the motion, her body involuntarily froze again.

Not until Block suddenly floated down and touched her hand.

The sudden coolness snapped Li Luo back to her senses. She looked at Block beside her and understood.

”You want me to say a proper goodbye too, don’t you?”

Li Luo took a deep breath, wiped away the tears threatening to spill, and turned around to face the figures without hesitation.

”Goodbye!”

she yelled, waving her hand.

”I’ll be back!”

The emotions Li Luo had been suppressing poured out of her. She waved nonstop, her voice echoing across the dock.

In the distance, Lin Nian jumped up and down, waving at Li Luo.

Si Yang’s hyphae floated into the air, dancing continuously.

Jitai, however, stood perfectly still, like a statue gazing into the distance.

They were so far apart that their faces were just a blur, but the sincerity of their feelings reached her heart all the same.

Li Luo kept waving as she backed up, slowly making her way onto the ship.

She saw Si Yang in the distance seeming to make a gesture at her.

Li Luo almost thought Si Yang was about to use some kind of ability, but after looking closely for a few moments, she realized Si Yang was gesturing toward the distant lighthouse.

’What’s going on?’

Li Luo looked toward the lighthouse and saw the white light stone on it was flashing continuously.

”That’s Morse code,” the robot leading the way said suddenly.

”Morse code?”

”Yes,” the robot confirmed with a nod.

”What does it say?” Li Luo asked curiously, watching the flashing light.

The robot stared at the lighthouse for a moment before turning its head to look at Li Luo.

Its voice suddenly became very gentle as it slowly recited the meaning behind the light:

”Be safe and sound...”

After speaking, it turned its head and continued walking onto the ship.

Li Luo froze, the tears in her eyes almost beginning to fall again.

”Okay, I will.”

She whispered a response to the distant figures and followed the robot onto the ship.

The entrance hatch slowly closed, blocking the view of the lighthouse, and then gradually, the distant figures.

Even after the hatch was fully closed, Li Luo was still staring blankly ahead.

”Let me show you to your room.”

”Okay...”

...

”This ship is called the ’Sky Shuttle.’ If you need anything, you can use the facilities in your room to contact me, but remember not to shout.”

The robot escorted Li Luo to her room, shut the cabin door tightly, and then quickly departed.

Compared to the rooms on the Paradise, the rooms on this ship were significantly smaller, but all the facilities were there, compressed into a limited space.

Li Luo looked around and saw it even had a private bathroom.

She went to the door and pulled on the hatch, only to find it was locked tight.

Her pulling on the door even triggered a sharp alarm, and a conspicuous message flashed on the door’s display screen:

”Leaving the room is prohibited.”

The alarm only stopped when Li Luo moved her hand away from the door.

Seeing how strict the rules on this ship were, Li Luo didn’t try anything else. She sat quietly on the bed and looked out through the small porthole.

Some robots were loading cargo onto the ship. The cargo was also very particular—all of it was in small boxes, like items that had been individually packaged.

Meanwhile, Mo Ling was also carefully observing the contents of those boxes.

Brand-new soccer balls, plush toys, paper cups, plastic trash bags, razors...

They were all miscellaneous items that could have been packed together, yet each one was packaged separately and wrapped up tightly.

The more Mo Ling looked, the stranger it felt. He couldn’t shake the feeling that this style of packaging was familiar.

Finally, after observing all the various odds and ends, it dawned on Mo Ling.

’Isn’t this just like package delivery?’
