Reincarnated as a Mosquito, the School Beauty I Sucked to Tears is a Reborn Empress

BUZZZZ~! ’So good!’

Chu Sheng felt like his entire mosquito body was about to float away.

He wobbled off the fourth stalk of Soul-Stabilizing Grass, now sucked dry of its essence. As he looked at the dazzling array of Spirit Grass around him, a greedy glint shone in his compound eyes.

’I’ve already gone over the limit, anyway. Taking a few more won’t make a difference, right?’

’I, Lord Mosquito, performed a great service this time! What’s wrong with taking a little extra?!’

With that thought, he cast aside all hesitation. In a flash, he pounced on another Seventh-Grade Spirit Medicine that was radiating intense spiritual fluctuations!

[Ding! Host has absorbed pure Spiritual Energy! Mental Power +42!]

”...”

Gu Yuexi stood to the side, her face devoid of expression as she watched the precious Spiritual Plants get sucked into withered husks, one after another. Feeling the mosquito’s Mental Power skyrocket through their Blood Covenant, she was completely numb.

’It’s... It’s about to catch up to me again!’

’How is its Mental Power growth rate just as fucking ridiculous as its Qi Blood?! It makes no sense!’

Through her own painstaking Cultivation, combined with her world-shocking talent, her Mental Power had exploded from zero to the Second-Grade Late Stage in just half a month!

A growth rate like that was already heaven-defying.

One had to remember that Xiao Ran, the number one Top Notch prodigy of Sui Ming, had been cultivating his Mental Power since childhood, and his Spiritual Realm was still only at the Peak of Second-Grade!

And this mosquito?

All it had to do was take a few sips and it was already approaching the Second-Grade Late Stage!

’If this keeps up, that dreaded future for a Beast Tamer is just around the corner!’

’No! I have to go to Hong Kong Island!’

’And it has to be now! Immediately!’

...

「A moment later, in the Governor’s office.」

The moment Gu Yuexi returned, she got straight to the point. ”Governor Qi, the Hong Kong Island travel permit. I want it now.”

Qi Chongshan looked at her impatient expression and chuckled to himself.

’The little girl still can’t keep her composure.’

He picked up his teacup, took a leisurely sip with an air of sagely calm, and said slowly, ”Ahem, Gu! About this permit business... no rush, no rush...”

”Why don’t we talk about the vault first? I recall... we agreed you’d only take three items, didn’t we?”

”But I was just watching on the security cameras, and I saw it as clear as day. Your mosquito, all told, sucked eight Spiritual Plants dry, three of which were Ninth Grade. The total value of all that is nearly two billion!”

”Look, I’ve already turned a blind eye to this and been more than benevolent. How about... we just call it even for the Hong Kong Island permit and forget about it?”

Qi Chongshan felt his proposal was perfectly reasonable and flawless.

This was why he hadn’t stopped her, even though he knew exactly what was happening in the vault!

’I let you take such a huge advantage, you should be satisfied now, right?’

’This also saves me from taking that enormous risk!’

However, Gu Yuexi simply said coolly, ”Governor Qi, those are two separate issues.”

”The five extra Spiritual Plants are worth 1.43 billion. I will compensate you for their full value. I can write you an IOU for now.”

”But the Hong Kong Island permit was something you personally promised as payment for us dealing with the Spirit-Devouring Mother Worm. That is a separate transaction.”

”Furthermore...”

Gu Yuexi’s tone shifted as she proposed a new condition. ”I don’t just need the permit. I also need you to find a way to arrange a completely secure, fake identity for me and get me into Hong Kong Island secretly, without anyone discovering me!”

”PFFT—!”

Qi Chongshan sprayed out the mouthful of tea he had just taken.

He shot to his feet, staring at Gu Yuexi in disbelief. He could feel his blood pressure soaring.

’Holy shit! You’re really pushing your luck, aren’t you?!’

’Getting you a permit already involves huge political risk! And now you want me to arrange a fake identity and send you there in secret?!’

’Do you have any idea what your status is right now? You’re a top secret of the Federation! A living target being watched by assassins from all over the world!’

’If I actually do this, and something happens to you on Hong Kong Island, and my political enemies find out, they’ll slap me with the label of ”colluding with the enemy, betraying the country, and deliberately plotting to harm a Federation genius.” Forget this governor’s seat, my head will roll!’

”Impossible! Absolutely impossible!”

Qi Chongshan shook his head like a rattle drum, his attitude firm to the extreme. ”This is non-negotiable! I wouldn’t agree even if it killed me!”

Gu Yuexi seemed to have anticipated his reaction.

She just calmly took her phone out of her pocket, opened a recording file, and pressed play.

”Gu! I’ll get you the Hong Kong Island permit, but my name absolutely cannot be on it! It will have nothing to do with me, Qi Chongshan, not a single damn thing!”

Qi Chongshan’s voice came from the phone, echoing clearly in the office.

”???”

Qi Chongshan’s face instantly turned green.

’This little girl... when did she record this?!’

”If you don’t agree, I will submit this recording, along with a detailed report on the assassination incident, to the Capital City right now.”

Gu Yuexi’s tone was still calm, but it carried an unquestionable sense of pressure. ”But if you agree, I can make a soul-blood oath in front of you.”

”All my actions on Hong Kong Island will have nothing to do with you. If your identity is exposed because of me, may my Divine Soul be obliterated on the spot, never to be reincarnated for all eternity.”

”...You... *Sigh*... I really...” Qi Chongshan clutched his head, looking utterly defeated. He was completely numb.

He slumped into his chair, feeling like he was being completely manipulated by this eighteen-year-old girl.

The recording was the threat, the soul-blood oath was the guarantee.

A carrot and stick approach, perfectly executed.

’This scheming... these methods... could a high school student really be capable of this?’

He was silent for a long time before finally letting out a long sigh and waving his hand listlessly.

”Fine... You win.”

...

「One day later.」

Qi Chongshan’s secretary knocked and entered, handing him a file.

”Governor, we’ve found a way.”

”There’s a third-rate private university in the Capital City called ’Jiuzhou Academy.’ Not long ago, their first-year students in the Array System organized an Array studies exchange trip to Hong Kong Island University.”

”They call it a studies exchange, but it’s really just a group of good-for-nothing rich kids using it as an excuse to travel and have fun. They’ll be making frequent stops along the way and will pass through the neighboring Celestial Fire Province in two days.”

”We can arrange a fake identity for Gu and find a way for her to quietly slip into their group within the borders of Celestial Fire Province.”

”This school has no reputation. It’s basically a ’Noble Academy’ in the Capital City, filled with spoiled brats from prominent families who aren’t presentable enough for the public stage. They’re the type that even if they died outside, their families wouldn’t bother to care.”

”A group like this seems flamboyant and high-profile, but it’s actually the safest! Absolutely no one will be watching them!”
