Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 1942: Chapter 1400: Conversation

Ba Shu waved her hand, and a stone table and large chairs appeared. She laughed lightly and said, ”Master, Elder Jiu, please sit down before we continue.”

Su Yuan and Elder Jiu each took a seat and asked, ”What are the plans for the Grey Realm moving forward?”

Elder Jiu’s voice was low as he said, ”Nothing much, just recuperating and maintaining the responsibilities of the Grey Realm.”

”Recuperating and maintaining, hmm...” Su Yuan murmured thoughtfully, ”Over tens of thousands of years, how many worlds has the Grey Realm invaded?”

Elder Jiu slowly replied, ”Over a hundred, usually the commander’s forces can annihilate a world, most of the time with a Divine General involved.

Even if there are one or two Emperor Levels occasionally, they are alone without support, unable to resist under our intimidation, either fleeing or dying.

Yet encountering a large world like the Blue Sea for the first time with numerous Emperor Levels and True Domain experts is unexpected.”

As he spoke, Elder Jiu’s gaze fell upon Su Yuan.

”Originally, I intended to conquer the Blue Sea at the Emperor Level, wield numerous Emperor Levels into emptiness... But I didn’t expect, because of Lord Yu Huang’s sudden emergence, repeated retreats followed.”

Su Yuan’s eyes showed contemplation, and he shifted the conversation: ”Now, among the Thousand Worlds, all beings grow, the Universe Melting Furnace overload triggers Heavenly Tribulation.

The Grey Realm annihilates numerous worlds, reducing cosmic energy, from this perspective, it coincides with the Cosmic Will...”

From a personal standpoint, the Grey Realm invading the Blue Sea made it an enemy to the Blue Sea and Su Yuan.

Yet from a cosmic level, the Grey Realm’s destruction of worlds in the late life stage of universe energy overload almost seems like a manifestation of Cosmic Will.

As a key figure against the Grey Realm, Su Yuan had this thought when hearing about Heavenly Tribulations from the Green Emperor and Spirit Emperor.

Seeing this True Domain elite from the Grey Realm at the moment served as an opportunity to ask directly.

Elder Jiu’s eyes shifted slightly, looking at Su Yuan in mild surprise: ”I did not expect, Lord Yu Huang, at such a young age, is able to observe from the perspective of the entire universe.”

Elder Jiu initially assumed Su Yuan brought up the matter to condemn the Grey Realm’s atrocities or to discuss the conflicting interests and animosities of Blue Sea and Grey Realm...

But unexpectedly, Su Yuan changed the subject, stepping out of entanglements between two realms with such statements.

Elder Jiu’s gaze toward Su Yuan became more earnest, pondering slightly before he spoke:

”Our Holy Realm is similar to the Netherworld, independent of the Thousand Worlds, for countless years, its function has been sustaining the cycle of soul power in the universe and distribution.

However, in the recent millennium, the universe’s constraints on the Holy Realm seem to have loosened, enabling us to invade various worlds.

Perhaps, as Lord Yu Huang said, there is an element of Cosmic Will driving it. The Reform Faction bases their belief on this, claiming the universe has granted the Holy Realm and us a ’new mission.’

Regardless, the reality is that the Holy Realm’s strength is at most comparable to a Big World.

Even invading the Blue Sea was a struggle, let alone other stronger Big Worlds.

Even if the Cosmic Will has bestowed upon us a ’new mission,’ this far it shall stay, and we maintain the function of the Holy Realm, which is why we withdrew from the Blue Sea.

How your Big Worlds fight amongst yourselves is of no concern to my Holy Realm.

On the contrary... If more people die, the Holy Realm’s collection of soul power increases, strengthening us further!”

”Is that truly the case?”

Su Yuan heard Elder Jiu’s words, lightly chuckled and slowly spoke, ”If killing ceases the tribulation, the universe returns to ’calmness,’ the Grey Realm naturally has no concern.

But if the tribulation fails, World’s End descends, the explosion of the Great Thousand Universe, trillions of beings perishing, the entire universe reformation, then neither the Grey Realm nor Netherworld can escape the tribulation, right?”

Upon hearing this, Elder Jiu’s eyes flickered.

And as Su Yuan observed the calmly composed Elder Jiu, he continued, ”Besides, regardless of other factions of the Grey Realm, if Elder Jiu truly wished to wholly ’avoid tribulation,’ you wouldn’t be here with Ba Shu, chatting away with me...”

Elder Jiu remained silent for a moment, focusing his gaze with Su Yuan’s, a cold sternness on his face suddenly transformed to a faint smile, shaking his head:

”Lord Yu Huang is indeed intelligent... Yes, usually, it is difficult to invade a Big World, but during a Heavenly Tribulation, worlds mutually slaughter. If truly beneficial, my Holy Realm might not stand by idly...”

”So then, any thoughts of targeting the Blue Sea again?” Su Yuan abruptly interrupted.

Elder Jiu could feel a sinister killing intent emanating from the young man before him, yet his expression remained unchanged, speaking slowly:

”Certainly thought of it, we can retreat, and we can come again, but...” Elder Jiu paused, his gaze settled on Su Yuan, ”but, since the esteemed controls the Absolute Heaven Sword, then it is a different story.

I assume the esteemed has heard from Ba Shu about this sword’s undenied significance to my Holy Realm?”

Su Yuan nodded slightly: ”Naturally.”

”My Holy Realm, beyond Spiritualized Divine Weapons, lacks the capability to forge Divine Artifacts independently. The Absolute Heaven Sword is the sword guarding our realm under Cosmic Will’s watch.”

Elder Jiu spoke while lifting his eyes toward the shattered space overhead.

”This Absolute Heaven Forbidden Area is exactly above the Holy Realm’s gateway to the outside, with the Absolute Heaven Sword standing guard here, severing the path and disconnecting the Holy Realm and the outside world with one strike.

Since the esteemed has now subdued this sword, we naturally won’t go to the Blue Sea again...”

Su Yuan flipped his hand, retrieving the Absolute Heaven Sword, tracing it meticulously.

Communicating briefly with the Sword Spirit, knowing Elder Jiu’s words were not incorrect, the Absolute Heaven Sword’s mission indeed was to guard the Grey Realm.

Just now, the Great Thousand Universe reaches its end stage, and Cosmic Will has altered, nullifying the Absolute Heaven Sword’s purpose, thus enabling Grey Realm’s invasion through the Absolute Heaven Forbidden Area.

And the Absolute Heaven Sword consequently lost its original mission, developed its own will, ultimately finding Su Yuan today as its master.
