Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 1754: Chapter 1323: Extreme Emotion

”Hehehe, are you already running out of spirit?”

With a sickly smile, Zi Yue raised the blood-stained iron pestle and thrust it heavily down towards Mu Kexian below.

”Dong dong dong dong...”

Just as Zi Yue said, the first nine levels of the Extreme Evil Hell can be endured with great tenacity, but the latter nine levels keep eroding the spirit.

Even though Mu Kexian cultivates the Path of Indifference and does not experience fear, despair, or torment, and even though she does not fear the pain of torture, her spirit and will continuously weaken under constant torment.

If there isn’t a stronger desire and obsession to support them, it is impossible to stabilize the continuously eroding will!

In this world, there is always a motivation to keep us alive, which is the so-called desire to survive.

It can be positive or negative; having it allows us to overcome hardships and transcend ourselves.

Supreme Forget Emotion, without desire or thought, Mu Kexian had perhaps only the pursuit of the Great Dao in her heart, but in reality, this is not a strong desire.

Compared to Xuanqing, Dongfang Yi, and other talented peers, Mu Kexian did not have such strong an obsession in the pursuit of Dao. Dao is also desire; being too attached to Dao is actually detrimental to the cultivation of Supreme Forget Emotion Technique.

As her body and spirit were shattered time and again, everything within Mu Kexian’s heart continued to tear apart, gradually, the thought of pursuing Dao could no longer support her increasingly weakened will.

But at this moment, beneath the retreating thought of pursuing Dao, a stronger desire emerged.

This desire had always been there, just suppressed, sealed, restrained...never allowed to emerge.

And now, after everything within Mu Kexian’s heart was continuously torn apart by the infernal punishment, the long-repressed desire burst forth with astonishing energy!

Instead of being blurred by the torment of the spirit, it became clearer and more profound, increasingly strong and tenacious, until it manifested as a figure...

’Finally... finally remembered!’

’Clearly, I could have gone before the war, yet I didn’t even say a word.’

’Mu Kexian, oh Mu Kexian, what are you worried about? What are you restraining?’

’Does identity, alignment matter? How do others’ thoughts affect us?’

’You have to understand what you truly want!’

Mu Kexian’s eyes trembled, her fists clenched, as she seemed to finally understand something during moments of introspection.

’I... I want to be with him!’

The struggle and confusion in Mu Kexian’s gaze suddenly dissipated, leaving only a madly surging, firm yet pure emotion.

Because of the guidance of predecessors and the teachings of her mentor, Mu Kexian had always been restrained in her emotions since she began cultivating the Supreme Forget Emotion Technique.

This restraint, combined with her own nature, helped Mu Kexian cultivate the Supreme Forget Emotion Technique smoothly all the way, becoming an instinct.

Even now, having recalled all sorts of past events and having regained that emotion, she still constrained her words and actions with the instinct of being ”heartless”.

But now, in the layers of infernal punishment that erode the will, Mu Kexian finally understood her deepest desire.

’Even if my cultivation falls because of it, even if he has others around him, even if he doesn’t have this intention...’

’No matter what, I want to be with him!’

Mu Kexian no longer suppressed her emotions, and a wave of madness instantly swept through every cell of her body, every corner of her spirit, causing her entire being to plunge into it, reaching a point of almost enchantment!

Meanwhile, a mysterious force of nature spread from Mu Kexian’s eyes.

Heavenly Dao is heartless, yet heartlessness is precisely the great emotion that maintains the stable operation of the world.

So how could humans, as the spirits of all things, be heartless?

Enter emotion, heartless, extreme emotion... Only by reaching the extreme of emotion can one achieve Unity of Heaven and Man, and perceive the nature of all things; this is the true Supreme Forget Emotion Technique!

From heartlessness to remembering emotion, Mu Kexian had actually one foot out in this step, only restrained by self-control and the constraints of the heart, thus having not yet completed the transformation.

Until this moment, with a thought of extreme emotion, Heaven and Earth became wide, Mu Kexian questioned her heart and saw emotion under the infernal punishment, and the Supreme Forget Emotion Technique finally advanced further!

The Legendary Stage of Supreme Forget Emotion Technique not only has auxiliary effects but also greatly enhances the power of various Divine Powers with spiritual energy.

Now reaching the myth stage, mobilizing the rules of the Great Dao, with the heart united with the nature of all things, then all actions driven by emotion will unleash infinite power!

Mu Kexian’s eyes shone, and beneath her iceberg-like face seemed to be a surge of fierce emotion, as if a frozen heart had fully come alive.

”What’s going on?!”

Zi Yue, sensitive to emotion, immediately perceived a phenomenal change seemingly happening within Mu Kexian, raising an eyebrow, and at once picked up the thick iron pestle and plunged it towards Mu Kexian’s head.

But this time, Mu Kexian, who could only barely maintain a vague will, lifted her head and steeled herself to face the increasingly large iron pestle.

”Clang!”

With a crisp sound, the falling iron pestle smashed the stone mortar, and Mu Kexian directly fell into the next level of Hell.

Undoubtedly, Mu Kexian’s desire to survive has far exceeded the standards of this level of Hell; the original formidable pounding punishment has been abruptly broken through!

”Mu Kexian...”

Zi Yue watched the white-clad woman fall into the blood pool below, still not knowing exactly what was happening within her, or how she suddenly ignited such strong resolve and desire in the Extreme Evil Hell.
