Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 1527: Chapter 1222: Astrea

Alpha said, ”It seems the Royal Envoy Su already knows a bit about the situation of the Five Great Families?”

Su Yuan flipped his hand and took out a Jade Talisman, placing it on the table. ”Before coming here, the purpose and details of this trip were conveyed through this talisman.

To summarize, whether the Five Great Families can respond to the Holy Temple and fully cooperate with the Great Flame depends entirely on whether Lord Lael nods in agreement.”

Alpha picked up the Jade Talisman and examined it briefly, nodding, ”Indeed, the Royal Envoy Su’s summary is correct. Lord Lael holds absolute control over the Five Great Families.”

Su Yuan said, ”Then, please, Lord Alpha, tell me about this person.”

”Alright!”

Alpha immediately responded and slowly began to recount to Su Yuan the origins of Lael and the Five Great Families.

This Lord Lael was already a figure from a thousand years ago. This person was once a ruthless killer with grave sins, and could be called Qiguang’s number one heretic.

Neither the Holy Temple nor the Heretic Court could do anything to him; anyone who went to hunt him down either died or got injured.

Even Reinhardt’s teacher, the former leader of the Holy Temple and Round Table Leader, Knight Kevin, could not subdue him.

After a fierce battle with this man, Kevin was severely wounded and died. In the end, it took an Emperor Level from Qiguang to finally capture him.

Lael was supposed to be executed, but after his battle with Kevin, he seemed to undergo some changes.

Finally, for unknown reasons, the Qiguang Emperor Level made an agreement with Lael and released him.

Lael then took Kevin’s descendants and raised them, eventually supporting the rise of the Five Great Families...

Today, the power of the Qiguang Five Great Families has infiltrated various important domains such as economics, education, and technology. However, Lord Lael has already withdrawn from the world early on and no longer appears.

Su Yuan’s eyes flickered as he asked, ”So, that Round Table Leader Kevin, was his surname Bach, Delmond, or Astrea?”

Alpha replied, ”The Royal Envoy Su has a keen instinct... Lord Reinhardt’s teacher, the former Round Table Leader, was indeed named Kevin Astra.

Now within the Five Great Families, the most powerful is the head of the Astrea Family—Raymond Astra, who is the son of Kevin.”

Alpha paused for a moment before continuing, ”Lord Reinhardt’s talent is extraordinary. Even in his academy days, he had already become prominent and caused great attention domestically for surpassing his peers.

Before Reinhardt graduated, Lord Kevin admitted him directly into the Holy Temple, and his performance and growth speed there made Lord Kevin extremely fond of him.

Seeing him as his successor, Kevin brought Reinhardt by his side for careful mentoring, even favoring him more than his own son—Raymond, who was also known as a top rising star at that time.

After Lord Kevin’s death, Reinhardt lived up to expectations and quickly became Qiguang’s strongest knight, eventually leading the entire Holy Temple.

At the same time, however, Raymond, who also had great talent but was neglected, developed an exceptional hostility towards Lord Reinhardt.

Thus, Raymond accepted guidance from Lael and has challenged Lord Reinhardt multiple times over years, albeit unsuccessfully each time...”

Su Yuan, after listening to Alpha’s story, couldn’t help but click his tongue secretly.

Good and evil masters battling, with one dying and the other being reformed?

The son grows envious of his father’s genius disciple, even willing to join the enemy who killed his father?

Su Yuan remarked internally on the drama and then directly asked, ”So how can I meet this Lord Lael?”

Alpha said, ”Since Raymond reached King Level, Lord Lael hasn’t appeared. Though he is there, besides the patriarchs of the Five Great Families, others can scarcely see him.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuan pondered briefly and said, ”So, in order to meet this master, the key lies with—Raymond?”

Alpha looked at Su Yuan before him and nodded, ”The Royal Envoy Su is not only highly powerful but also so quick-witted and intelligent that I’m impressed...

Indeed, if the Royal Envoy Su wishes to meet Lord Lael, he must first go through Raymond, the head of the Astrea Family.

Raymond, due to his animosity towards Lord Reinhardt, also voted against the alliance with the Great Flame in the earlier meeting of the Five Great Families...

So whether it’s to unify the efforts of the Five Great Families or to meet Lord Lael, the Royal Envoy Su would inevitably need to encounter him.”

Alpha produced a crystal and handed it to Su Yuan, saying, ”Inside here is information on Raymond, the family head.”

Su Yuan took the crystal and examined it, his gaze flashing, ”Sword Dao, hmm?”

Alpha nodded slightly, ”Raymond continues to cultivate the Star Sky Swordsmanship left by Lord Kevin, a technique said to have the potential to break through to a Mythical level.

Earlier, Lord Reinhardt also cultivated this swordsmanship, but not long after Kevin’s death, he abandoned it.

This is one reason Raymond holds increasing resentment towards Lord Reinhardt, thinking he abandoned his beginnings and disrespected his master.”

Su Yuan nodded thoughtfully, studying the content within the crystal and curiously asked:

”Raymond once defeated nearly a hundred top Sword Dao experts below and above the King with Star Sky Swordsmanship, losing only to one person and drawing with another...

As you said, he was defeated by Reinhardt, but the one he drew with, who could that be...?”

Though it seemed Raymond lost to Reinhardt multiple times, in reality, according to Great Flame’s intelligence and the records in the crystal, he is undoubtedly a top expert in Qiguang!

Top of the Eighth Stage, wielding Ninth Stage swordsmanship...

Being able to exchange over a hundred moves with Sword Saint Reinhardt was proof of his strength.
