Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 1138: Chapter 920: Descending Curse

Green Rainbow Piercing Body!

Endless azure sword light shot forth from the Curse King, overwhelming him like a surging tide of blades.

In an instant, the sound of ”Sword Chant” roared incessantly, even shredding space, emitting a terrifying and majestic wave capable of annihilating everything!

After Su Yuan unleashed Fu Chaosheng’s Green Sword strike, he didn’t take another look.

Fu Chaosheng, as a newly crowned King Level, would not necessarily kill the Curse King even if he were present himself, let alone with a condensed strike?

Therefore, Fu Chaosheng had originally said to Su Yuan that this sword could ”delay the King Level for a moment.”

Even though the Curse King was somewhat suppressed by the Divine Prohibition at this moment, this sword brought him even greater injuries, that’s all.

As for wanting to kill him? That’s absolutely impossible!

Having already acknowledged the formidable survival ability of the King Level’s origin, Su Yuan naturally held no illusions.

Leaving behind Nalan Ying’s True Form Release to cover, Su Yuan opened the Door of Space, immediately departing swiftly with Demon Soul...

Su Yuan traveled quickly with Shrinking Ground while keeping a tight eye on the Blood Curse Mark on his body.

Ruan Ruan kept making intense ”grunt” sounds, the devouring black light deep like ink, truly exerting all its strength!

But that Blood Curse Mark, though thin as paper, proved extremely stubborn!

After a while, suddenly, Glazed Tianqing flashed slightly.

Su Yuan’s face darkened, knowing Nalan Ying had been killed, meaning the Curse King had recovered!

Su Yuan expanded his perception; ahead lay endless mountains, while the transmission from Qingming Realm seemed clearer but was undoubtedly still far away.

To instantly teleport away was unrealistic, he must resolve the Blood Curse Mark and shake off the Curse King first...

”I’ll hold him back.” At this moment, the Demon Soul suddenly stopped.

Demon Soul understood as well, time needed to be earned.

Demon Soul said to Su Yuan, ”However, I must keep Divine Fire and Divine Wind, without the Oath of Returning Ruins and Evil Spirit Entanglement, I fear I won’t last long.”

Until now, Demon Soul still hadn’t released Evil Spirit Entanglement or the Oath of Returning Ruins.

Aside from the inherent powerful enhancement of these two skills, the Oath of Returning Ruins’ Power of Returning Ruins, and the Undead Evil Fire’s undeath and decay properties substantially weaken the influence of Curse Power.

Su Yuan looked at Demon Soul, knowing this was a crucial life-and-death moment, no time to think.

Only hesitating slightly, Su Yuan agreed: ”Alright, I’ll find a way to resurrect you soon.”

Demon Soul grinned without saying more, raising a hand to form seals, a circle of silver light rippling out before him.

Ever since exiting the Blood Organ Domain, Demon Soul had anticipated this, laying down the Transmission Decree in advance using the ”God Descent” ability.

”Go! You survive, so we all can live!”

After Demon Soul spoke, the silver light blazed and suddenly vanished into the void.

Su Yuan understood very well what Demon Soul meant, Infinite Power fully unleashed, speedily racing toward the sky edge.

After a while.

”Squeak!” Ruan Ruan showed a trace of excitement, ”Master, absorbed it all!”

Su Yuan opened the All-Knowing Vision and checked carefully, indeed the Blood Hunting Curse had been entirely resolved!

”Good!”

Su Yuan’s eyes brightened, finally free from tracking.

Turning a hand to draw the Demon Saber, Su Yuan intended to ”recall” Demon Soul.

However, the red light on the Demon Saber remained dim, unresponsive.

It wasn’t due to other reasons, Demon Soul refused the summons.

In fact, both Su Yuan and Demon Soul understood, now, the more time they could delay, the better.

If Demon Soul returned now, the Curse King would catch up soon after, all efforts would be wasted!

Su Yuan’s eyes narrowed, immediately sheathing the Demon Saber, and looked ahead.

They had already distanced considerably from Great Wilderness Ridge, ahead lay towering mountains, vast Guangchuan!

Further along, they would reach Inner Sea Islands near the East Coast.

With Infinite Power fully driving, Su Yuan stepped forward rapidly shortening space, indeed incredibly fast.

In terms of mobility, Instant Teleportation is more agile, but for long-distance travel, Shrinking Ground via Infinite Power is naturally superior.

For a moment, Su Yuan concentrated fully on utilizing Infinite Power.

A large expanse of space before his eyes continuously contracted, quickly traversed by Su Yuan.

After earlier experiencing a grand battle with the Three Heroes, now facing the immense threat of the King Level.

In this life-and-death crisis, Su Yuan concentrated all his Essence Qi Spirit, overloading the use of infinite power.

Again and again, each time Su Yuan compressed and contracted space more, crossing greater distances...

”Buzz...!”

Suddenly, a sound of sword chant.

Su Yuan’s eyes flashed silver, abruptly snapping out from the full rush using Infinite Power.

Looking down, the Demon Saber trembled, then completely dimmed.

Although anticipated, Demon Soul held on longer than imagined.

Yet now, with Demon Soul’s fall, Su Yuan’s heart grew heavy.

The Demon Saber was the treasure obtained from the Land of Sword Relics at Demon Capital Academy when he was Gold Level.

And the Demon Soul Avatar was born when he upgraded the Demon Saber, accompanying him since then.

Though an avatar, also a friend.

And this marked the third time the Demon Soul Avatar perished because of him.

Su Yuan gripped the dim Demon Saber, sensing that reviving Demon Soul this time wouldn’t be easy.

But it’s no use overthinking this matter. Su Yuan pushed down the thoughts in his mind; right now, he must find a way to escape!

Su Yuan looked up and was surprised at how far he had already fled in the blink of an eye.

This time, escaping shouldn’t be too difficult...

However, as Su Yuan was contemplating, he suddenly felt a chill running from head to toe, an eerie sense of foreboding struck his heart.

Then his vision blurred, and it seemed as if he had fallen into a dark, extremely abstract Curse Abyss all around him.

At that moment, a colossal Curse Body, standing hundreds of meters tall with a blurred figure, suddenly appeared ahead.

This Curse Body was enveloped in a colorful aura, its face vaguely similar to the Curse King, and its bloodshot eyes stared intently at Su Yuan. Then...

”Ah...!”

A shrill scream echoed from its mouth, and subsequently, the colorful aura twisted and surged from its body, transforming into streams of curse power rushing toward Su Yuan!

Su Yuan’s pupils slightly contracted, finding himself unable to move and could only muster his spiritual power to fend it off.

But the opponent’s energy was too powerful. In the blink of an eye, the colorful aura struck Su Yuan one after another.

A profound sense of danger and a piercing cold continuously assailed Su Yuan’s heart, and the Curse Body, now black after shedding its colors, swiftly melded into the surrounding environment.

Su Yuan’s vision abruptly cleared, as if everything had been just a fleeting delusion.

Yet before him, Ruan Ruan was gazing at him with eyes full of horror.

”Master? Master, Master! What’s wrong with you!”

Su Yuan immediately felt a strong sense of weakness, and upon a quick survey, he noticed the terrifying changes in his body.

His complexion was waning, his spirit was depleted, ears dull, eyes dimmed, filthy sweat was pouring, and pustules were continuously erupting from his skin, emitting a repugnant stench all over.

This was why Ruan Ruan’s golden pupils were filled with panic and concern!

Su Yuan’s heart tightened, instantly realizing that this must be a curse technique cast remotely by the Curse King!

Although he didn’t know the specific method, since even the Priestess could impose curses out of thin air, let alone the Curse King who comprehended the Curse Law?

Su Yuan wasn’t wrong in his guess; this technique is called the Five Decays Rebound Curse, a curse technique that reflects injuries inflicted upon the target back onto themself.

Depending on the extent of the injuries caused, it accumulates damage and then rebounds with the power of the Five Decays Curse.

In reality, Su Yuan hadn’t inflicted much harm upon the Curse King; otherwise, even this curse would have been even more terrifying, being almost impossible for a King Level to withstand!

This also explains why, although the Curse King is one of the few new kings in nearly a thousand years, he remains so feared by others.

Firstly, he operates independently without allegiance, fearless of anything.

Secondly, his curse techniques are bizarre and treacherous, more challenging to counter than frontal attacks.

And now, using such a reflective curse on a mere Burning Sun Level indeed wasn’t quite appropriate.

However, since the Blood Hunting Curse has already been broken, among the curse techniques he has on hand, only this curse was most suitable.

Even if it couldn’t directly kill Su Yuan, it could render him unable to flee.

Otherwise, with Su Yuan’s speed, he moved way too fast; even the Curse King himself would find it challenging to catch up!

”Heavenly God Descent!”

Su Yuan immediately activated the Heavenly God Descent, using his star power to suppress this bizarre curse power.

The domineering body spiritual light of the Heavenly God Descent enveloped him, providing astonishing resistance against various negative conditions, instantly slowing the encroachment of these curses by a fraction!

But it was just a fraction... After all, this was the power of a King Level Curse Law, and the terrifying curse power continued eroding Su Yuan’s body.

His vision blurred, hearing faded, his body weakened, and poisonous sores and pustules spread throughout his body...

”Time Reversal!”

Without hesitation, Su Yuan used Time Reversal, channeling all the Power of Time onto the curse power on his body.

A surge of golden shadows, waves of golden time runes just began to rise but were suppressed by the Five Decays Curse Power.

The two fiercely clashed, and not long after, the Epic Grade Time Reversal once again succumbed.

However, fortunately, the Time Reversal wasn’t without effect, slightly thinning the Five Decays Curse Power surrounding him...

”This is quite troublesome now...” Su Yuan couldn’t help but feel a bitter smile in his heart.

Su Yuan only felt his senses growing increasingly sluggish, his vision blurring into darkness, nearly unable to discern anything.

”Master! Master, your skin is decaying! What should I do...! *sob sob sob*!”

Seeing Su Yuan’s rapidly deteriorating body, Ruan Ruan’s eyes quickly filled with tears.

After the exhaustion from devouring the Blood Hunting Curse’s power, Ruan Ruan once again activated the Power of Devouring, desperately trying to consume the strange curse power on Su Yuan.

However, Ruan Ruan was only in the Chongyang Realm, and although the Devouring Law was effective, its progress was slow, merely a drop in the ocean...

”Ruan Ruan, go first...”

Su Yuan spoke laboriously, barely hearing what he himself was saying.

Ruan Ruan snapped back from intense worry, realizing Su Yuan couldn’t move anymore.

With a flash of water light on her body, Ruan Ruan split off a clone, transforming into the Great Sun Divine Crow, carrying Su Yuan and ready to take flight with a flap of its wings.

Su Yuan lifted his eyelids, glanced around, and said, ”Ruan Ruan... go into the water, be mindful to hide your presence...”

It wouldn’t matter if Su Yuan moved by himself, but the Great Sun Divine Crow was too conspicuous.

Not to mention being seen by others, even the path it passed would be marked by scorched traces.

It should be noted that Ruan Ruan’s Complete Mimicry form couldn’t deploy the Devouring Law.

Luckily, just below, there were numerous large rivers leading to the Inner Sea Islands, allowing them to travel through the water.

”*sob sob sob*... Ruan Ruan is too foolish!” Ruan Ruan blamed herself deeply.

”It’s okay...” In his hazy consciousness, Su Yuan gently patted Ruan Ruan’s head.

Then, with a flicker of spirit light, the Great Sun Divine Crow transformed into the Sea Covering Spirit Kun, swallowed Su Yuan whole, and then swam into the current below, plunging to the bottom of the sea in an instant.

The Sea Covering Spirit Kun, though not as fast as the Great Sun Divine Crow, left no trace when diving into the water and could isolate Su Yuan’s aura to some extent.

Subsequently, Ruan Ruan carried Su Yuan forward while frantically devouring and decomposing the curse power on Su Yuan...
