Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 789: Chapter 609: Take the Initiative to Attack

A few days later, Su Yuan closed the secret array book in his hand and slightly closed his eyes.

His entire being seemed to enter a state of enlightenment. Countless array theories intertwined, clashing and blending in his mind.

After a long while, this state ceased. When Su Yuan opened his eyes again, there was a faint golden rune flickering in his deep, silver pupils.

”System.”

Su Yuan reopened the barrier module of the system.

[Barrier Master]

[Level: Level Six (Knowledge: 1.3%; Exp 0/5 million)]

”Finally... Level Six!”

Su Yuan took a deep breath, his eyes shining with excitement. Since making significant progress in the Waning Moon Stage, he also broke through in the path of array formation!

This also meant that he could now set up grandmaster-level formations—a qualitative leap.

If it weren’t for needing the Star Banner to set up the Fake Celestial Star Battle Array, he’d have started setting it up right away...

In a good mood, Su Yuan took some time to carefully experience the state of an Array Dao Master.

Not long after, Fang Li suddenly knocked on Su Yuan’s door.

”Envoy Su, the Moon Lord has summoned everyone,” Fang Li said solemnly.

”Oh? It seems there’s news.”

Su Yuan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he immediately followed Fang Li to the camp center.

Quickly, everyone gathered.

Shen Tu Yuan got straight to the point: ”General Luo Cheng, who was coming to support, was intercepted by Qiguang’s people. Both sides are in a standoff, and it seems they won’t be here anytime soon.”

”What!”

Everyone’s hearts sank at these words.

”In that case, we might not be able to hold onto this Tiger Vein!”

Although some had foreseen this possibility, everyone looked grim when General Luo Cheng was actually blocked by the enemy.

Liu Qi, a Full Moon master from Wusa Country, asked, ”Moon Lord Shen Tu, Major Huang, what do we do now? Without the General’s support, we can only retreat in the face of a Burning Sun Star Beast, right?”

”Don’t rush; there is still a way,” Yellow Lion Tiger replied, then looked at Shen Tu Yuan.

Shen Tu Yuan nodded knowingly and said, ”Although General Luo Cheng was blocked, Bai Imperial Envoy anticipated this. Thus, there is a hidden ace, and we managed to get one item delivered.”

Speaking, Shen Tu Yuan took out a talisman with a white base and red stripes.

”This talisman is called the Flame Prison Locking Sun Talisman. If its rune is embedded in a target, it can temporarily cause chaotic high-concentration energy in the target’s body.

If used on a Star Beast in the Sea Moon Ascension state, it can even utilize the Sun Corona on its body to trap it, delaying it for at least ten days.

With any luck, this delay might allow us to secure the Tiger Vein.”

”Really!” Fu Shan and the others’ eyes lit up, staring intently at the talisman in Shen Tu Yuan’s hand. ”Bai Imperial Envoy truly thought of everything!”

Yellow Lion Tiger nodded: ”Now, we need to use this talisman on the Star Beast undergoing a breakthrough to see if we can delay it until we secure the Tiger Vein.”

”No time to waste, let’s move out now,” Shen Tu Yuan pocketed the talisman and looked at Su Yuan, ”Su Yuan, please escort us quickly.”

”Okay.”

Su Yuan nodded. If this issue could be resolved in this way, that would be best.

The others also showed signs of excitement.

But at that moment, the depths of the forest seemed to heat up significantly.

Following closely, an intense surge of Star Power fluctuation occurred.

”What!”

Everyone was surprised and turned to look into the distance immediately.

”Boom!!”

With an overwhelming tide of Star Power and scorching heat, a myriad of rosy clouds shot skyward from deep within You Man Forest!

The boundless Spirit Flame gradually dyed the entire sky red, as if another sun had risen, captivating everyone!

”Early Sun Ascension... Early Sun Realm! It broke through!”

Everyone’s faces changed drastically. No one expected the Star Beast to break through at this critical moment!

”Damn it!”

”What do we do now?”

”Since it already broke through, we have no choice but to retreat!”

”...”

Fu Shan and others were very frustrated. The situation was full of twists and turns. Just as they had secured the Flame Prison Locking Sun Talisman to get through this crisis, they hadn’t even had the chance to use it yet!

Even Shen Tu Yuan’s expression looked grimmer.

Everyone looked to Shen Tu Yuan. As the Upper Moon Lord, whether they should retreat early or continue to hold the Tiger Level Pulse Stabilizing Pillar depended on Shen Tu Yuan’s decision.

After a while, Shen Tu Yuan suddenly looked at Su Yuan and Yellow Lion Tiger: ”How about we give the Burning Sun a try?”

Fu Shan, Fang Li, and Liu Qi were all stunned, their eyes showing surprise.

”Moon Lord, you mean...?!”

When hearing this, both Su Yuan and Yellow Lion Tiger wore serious expressions and contemplated it deeply.

Shen Tu Yuan was indeed daring to suggest fighting the Burning Sun Level!

In Su Yuan’s view, Shen Tu Yuan, as the Upper Moon of the White Tiger, was already a top master at the Radiant Moon Level. Even so, defeating a Burning Sun Star Beast was nearly impossible!

Just by Star Power standards, a Burning Sun Star Beast’s power was several times that of a Radiant Moon. They wouldn’t be in the same league!

According to Gerard’s information, three Moon Knights had once collaborated to kill a newly ascended Burning Sun.

But that was three Moon Knights!

Though Shen Tu Yuan was formidable, and Yellow Lion Tiger and Su Yuan were strong, they likely still fell short compared to a Moon Knight.

At that moment, the heavy contemplation on Yellow Lion Tiger’s face vanished, replaced by a hint of madness and excitement.

”Not many people dare to challenge a Burning Sun as a Radiant Moon, right? Let’s do it!” Yellow Lion Tiger slapped the table and agreed.

”Major?!” Liu Qi was shocked. He didn’t expect Yellow Lion Tiger would actually agree.

Su Yuan also finished contemplating, nodding, ”Alright, let’s give it a try!”

”These three are simply crazy!” Fu Shan’s eyelids twitched. He tried to persuade, ”Moon Lord Shen Tu, the appearance of a Burning Sun Level Star Beast is already beyond the scope of our task. It’s an act of God. We should retreat immediately.

Besides, we’ve already killed Gerard. That alone is likely to earn us a B-level rating at least!”

Shen Tu Yuan turned to look at Fu Shan. Fu Shan felt a chill and could only sigh inwardly, not daring to speak further.

Shen Tu Yuan’s decision was difficult to change, and Yellow Lion Tiger was a battle-hungry individual. Fang Li, after thinking it over, also turned his gaze to Su Yuan.

After some hesitation, Fang Li spoke, ”Envoy Su, despite your formidable strength, you’re still only at the Waning Moon Stage, relying on enhancement skills. Maybe... you should reconsider?”

Fang Li’s words were already very polite.

If someone faltered during their challenge to the Burning Sun, the others would bear greater pressure, with a potential total collapse of their efforts.

Su Yuan was a Waning Moon, even if he could enhance to a Full Moon, that time would be limited.

Challenging above their level with a time constraint naturally increased difficulty and risk.

To Fang Li, Su Yuan didn’t need to risk such pressure!

But in truth, Su Yuan was even more eager to slay the Burning Sun Star Beast than Shen Tu Yuan and Yellow Lion Tiger!

Because for his Demon Saber to evolve to Epic Second Rank, it required slaying a Burning Sun Star Beast!

If relying solely on himself, this would be difficult, at least not achievable in a short time.

However, with top-tier masters like Shen Tu Yuan and Yellow Lion Tiger, facing a newly ascended Burning Sun Star Beast... it wasn’t entirely hopeless.

Slaying this Burning Sun Star Beast wouldn’t just protect the Tiger Vein and bring great merit, it would also fulfill the most challenging condition for his Demon Saber’s upgrade—killing two birds with one stone!

Su Yuan smiled, ”Fang Envoy, rest assured. My Space Gate has reached the Transformation Realm. If things go south, I have some confidence I can get us out.”

”Oh?” Shen Tu Yuan and Yellow Lion Tiger’s eyes lit up, ”In that case, if we can retreat even if we lose, we must give it a try!”

Seeing this, Fang Li nodded. He couldn’t argue further.

After all, a Waning Moon like Su Yuan was willing to defend the Pulse Stabilizing Pillar. If they talked about retreating, it would make them seem cowardly!

Fang Li voiced, ”In that case, I will stand with you!”

With Shen Tu Yuan and Major Huang already deciding, no one could oppose.

Fu Shan, seeing this, could only say, ”Then let’s discuss how to respond when the Burning Sun Star Beast attacks. Also, Envoy Su, should we set up more arrays?”

”Even the strongest Fifth Level Array wouldn’t work against a Burning Sun Star Beast. Moreover, the Star Beast has just broken through, meaning it hasn’t fully mastered its power...”

Su Yuan stood up, the intent to kill flickering in his eyes, ”In my opinion, there’s no need for further setups. A quick attack to kill the beast would be the best approach!”

Quick attack and kill the beast!

Instantly, the atmosphere dropped into silence.

Not only Fu Shan and Fang Li, but even Yellow Lion Tiger was shocked, looking uncertainly at the silver-eyed young man.

After rapid contemplation, everyone realized Su Yuan seemed to be right.

Fifth Level Arrays struggled against Full Moon. How could they go up against a Burning Sun?

The Burning Sun Star Beast just broke through and would only grow stronger. Its weakest moment was right now, while it hasn’t mastered its new power!

Facing a Burning Sun Star Beast, everyone instinctively thought of avoidance, defense, or elaborate setups, rarely considering a proactive strike!

At this moment, everyone looked at Su Yuan with awe and respect. He was indeed a genius, capable of independently defeating nearly ten Radiant Moon masters despite being a Waning Moon.

”Well said, a quick attack to kill the Burning Sun!” Yellow Lion Tiger slapped the table, standing up, feeling his whole body tingling with excitement!

Shen Tu Yuan also rose: ”As Envoy Su said, let’s strike proactively and kill the beast!”

Fu Shan and others were shocked by the rapid development, still trying to process.

Meanwhile, Su Yuan raised his hands. As silver light flowed, he opened a Space Gate.

”Full Moon level, come with us to kill the Burning Sun Star Beast. The rest stay, Zhang Qianyi commands and guards the Pulse Stabilizing Pillar!”

Zhang Qianyi responded, ”By the Moon Lord’s command.”

”Let’s go, everyone.”

Shen Tu Yuan’s gaze sharpened, stepping into the Space Gate.

Yellow Lion Tiger and Su Yuan followed closely.

Fu Shan and others took a deep breath and followed without much hesitation...
