Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 712: Chapter 564: Comprehending the Sword

Ten Thousand Sword Divine Sect, on the towering Wujian Peak.

The most important Sword Enlightenment Tower of the Ten Thousand Sword Divine Sect was located here.

Rather than a tower, it was more like a colossal and extremely ancient Bronze Greatsword slanted into the peak summit!

At least, that’s what it looked like from the outside.

In front of the Sword Enlightenment Tower, a Burning Sun Level elder was on duty. As soon as he saw Linghu Yao descend from the sky, the elder quickly approached and bowed, “Linghu Sword Venerate.”

“Guo Xu, open the Sword Enlightenment Tower.”

“Linghu Sword Venerate, do you intend to take this Demon Sky Palace disciple into the Sword Enlightenment Tower?” Guo Xu’s gaze fell on Su Yuan.

“That’s right.”

“This… Alright.”

Even though Guo Xu was somewhat hesitant, since Linghu Yao had spoken, he naturally could not refuse. He immediately took out a key and inserted it into the Bronze Gate at the base of the Sword Enlightenment Tower behind him.

“Buzz…”

The Bronze Gate trembled slightly and slowly opened to the side.

Demon Soul looked inside, the interior of the Sword Enlightenment Tower was pitch dark, and nothing could be seen from the outside, except for a faint touch of green.

Fang Shenyi glanced at Linghu Yao, then spoke to Demon Soul, “Friend Qin, Sword Intent is limitless, yet it varies in levels, categorized into Ordinary, Superior, and Supreme Sword Intent. Fellow Daoist, you must do your best.”

“Ordinary, Superior, and Supreme Sword Intent huh…”

Fang Shenyi nodded, “The Sword Intent I have comprehended is called Traceless Sword Intent. The intent follows the sword, the sword follows the intent. Each strike attacks the enemy’s flaws, continuous yet traceless. This is a type of Superior Sword Intent.”

Subsequently, Fang Shenyi detailed the general situation of the sword enlightenment to Su Yuan.

After all, every disciple of the Ten Thousand Sword Divine Sect must be fully prepared before entering the Sword Enlightenment Tower, unlike Su Yuan who had come without knowing anything.

After listening, Demon Soul cupped his hands in thanks, “Thank you, Friend Fang.”

Fang Shenyi shook his head, “No need to be polite, Friend Qin. Killing Tong Ming of the Blood Evil Sect is also avenging my senior and junior brothers and sisters. It is I who should thank you.”

“Alright, then hurry and go in,” Linghu Yao glanced at Demon Soul and casually reminded, “Remember, ‘Intent is born from the heart, and the sword stops the sword.ʼ”

“Thank you for your guidance, Sword Venerate.” Demon Soul cupped his hands to Linghu Yao, then entered the dark Sword Enlightenment Tower.

“Buzz…”

With Demon Soul’s entrance, the Bronze Gate slowly closed by itself.

Walking ahead, Demon Soul gradually saw the faint touch of green, which turned out to be a green twelve-petaled lotus platform, seemingly made of bronze, several meters in diameter.

Demon Soul’s eyes narrowed, his Qingming Imprint on his shoulder glowed. A flash of black light, and he merged with Su Yuan who had emerged from the Qingming Realm.

Su Yuan slightly closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he had fully synchronized his information with Demon Soul.

“Green Lotus Sword Platform?”

Su Yuan took a few steps forward, leapt into the center of the Green Lotus Sword Platform, and then sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes.

Gradually, Jinghua circulated on the Green Lotus Sword Platform, and incomparably transparent green light continuously gathered on the cross-legged Su Yuan.

Moments later, when Su Yuan opened his eyes again, the entire Sword Enlightenment Tower suddenly lit up!

The immense inner walls of the Sword Enlightenment Tower were covered with innumerable sword scars, varying in length, depth, distance, and age.

Upon careful examination, they could roughly be divided into three layers.

The upper layer was unclear, with only a few sword scars.

The middle layer had about a hundred sword scars.

The lower layer had thousands of sword scars!

Su Yuan’s heart tightened, “This is the ‘Inner Space’ of the Sword Enlightenment Tower.”

At this moment, the thousands of sword scars seemed to come to life, with faint light surrounding Su Yuan from below, ready to move!

Suddenly, a series of sharp sounds rose from all directions. Immediately, beams of ferocious Sword Qi shot out from the numerous sword scars, striking directly at Su Yuan!

Su Yuan’s eyes narrowed as he watched the many Sword Qi fly towards him but showed no intention of dodging.

“Sizzle sizzle sizzle…”

In the blink of an eye, several strands of Sword Qi struck Su Yuan.

However, there were no bloodstains or wounds, only white marks remaining.

Through the Green Lotus Sword Platform, Su Yuan was now already in the Inner Space of the Sword Enlightenment Tower, and this body was condensed with the help of the lotus platform into a Green Lotus Body.

At this moment, from the lower layer, numerous strands of Sword Qi continuously struck. While enduring the attacks, Su Yuan distinctly felt the Sword Intent contained within these Sword Qi.

Flowing Water Sword Intent, Raging Stream Sword Intent…

Burning Sword Intent, Blast Sword Intent…

Although he could clearly feel these Sword Intents, his Green Lotus Body grew increasingly tattered under the relentless strikes.

The surrounding Sword Qi increased in number, if he did not respond, soon he would be shredded by the myriad Sword Qi!

According to Fang Shenyi, this stage would eliminate ninety percent of Ten Thousand Sword Divine Sect disciples.

Facing the escalating pain from the Sword Qi attacks and the imminent destruction of the Green Lotus Body…

Many disciples of the Ten Thousand Sword Divine Sect could not nurture a “Sword Embryo” to protect themselves before their Green Lotus Body was shattered.

“Intent is born from the heart, and the sword stops the sword.”

Linghu Yao’s words echoed in Su Yuan’s mind, he immediately focused his mind, closed his eyes, calmed down, and meticulously sensed and pondered.

In just a moment, Su Yuan completely settled.

To produce a Sword Embryo, one first needed a powerful soul and a Soul Card.

The soul provided energy, while the Soul Card shaped it.

This way, the most suitable Sword Intent for oneself could be achieved.

Otherwise, if you were a Fire Element Sword Cultivator but comprehended Flowing Water Sword Intent, wouldn’t that be odd?

For Su Yuan, these were not issues.

In the past, Su Yuan might not have understood why his soul was stronger than others.

But now he knew it was most likely because of his transmigration.

After a while, an incredibly condensed white light emerged from Su Yuan’s body.

If Fang Shenyi were there, he would probably exclaim.

Su Yuan’s white light was nearly twice as large as the average size!

“Clang!”

The Qingming Profound Phoenix seemed to sense Su Yuan’s need. With a high cry, the black Space Power instantly merged into the white light!

The previously gentle white light violently churned.

Now it entered the second step—Bestow Divinity.

Intent was a mysterious concept.

Bestow Divinity meant endowing the Sword Intent with its divinity.

What kind of Sword Intent do you have, what power does it hold, what transformations can it perform…

In essence, it was all about imagination…

At that moment, more and more Sword Qi attacked Su Yuan from all directions.

Besides Flowing Water, Burning, and Rolling Stone Sword Qi from the lower layer’s sword scars, some sword scars from the middle layer also glowed.

Star Sword Energy, Aurora Sword Energy, Traceless Sword Energy… these strands of Superior Sword Intent Sword Qi continuously slashed down, seemingly intent on swiftly expelling Su Yuan from the lotus platform!

The attacks of the Superior Sword Intent were more aggressive, Su Yuan’s originally battered Green Lotus Body could barely hold on.

However, the thoughts in Su Yuan’s mind did not stop for a moment!

Be it flowing water or the vast ocean; flames or molten magma;

Stars, sun, and moon; heaven and earth…

All were merely parts residing within Space.

All things existed in the Void, within the cosmos, within the world.

Whether stars fell, rivers ceased, the sun and moon alternated, or heaven exchanged positions with earth, the world still existed!

At this moment, the white light within Su Yuan’s body vibrated intensely, then abruptly contracted and elongated into a three-foot long white Sword Embryo that sprang out of his body, shattering the attacking Sword Qi in several flashes!

Su Yuan opened his eyes suddenly and looked at the unpolished Sword Embryo.

“The Sword Embryo is formed!”

At this moment, sensing the existence of the Sword Embryo, the numerous sword scars throughout the Sword Enlightenment Tower became brighter.

Thousands of Sword Qi abandoned Su Yuan and charged towards the newly formed Sword Embryo!

The fledgling Sword Embryo faced the attacking Sword Qi fearlessly, launching a counterattack.

“Clang clang clang!”

The sound of metal clashing continuously resonated. The Sword Embryo shattered the strands of Sword Qi but also bore scars.

These scars seemed to cut through the white surface of the Sword Embryo, revealing patches of black within.

Battling one against many, the newborn Sword Embryo grew dim, wobbling with the threat of collapse.

“Intention Sword Lineage, as strong as the heart is, the Sword Intent will be.”

Fang Shenyi’s words rang in his ears, Su Yuan closed his eyes, and his mind connected with the Sword Embryo high up, merging with it to battle the myriad Sword Qi.

“I, Su Yuan, have never retreated in my actions. If this is a contest of ten thousand swords, then I shall kill all here and sever all swords!”

“Kill!”

With Su Yuan’s spirit and will supporting it, the Sword Embryo surged with power, charging fiercely into the myriad Sword Qi above!

Green Cloud Sword Qi, cut!

Great Sun Sword Energy, cut!

Moonlight Sword Qi, cut!

…

“Clang clang clang…”

The dense sound of collisions echoed, the Sword Embryo shattered Sword Qi wherever it passed!

In the blink of an eye, half an hour had passed.

As it clashed with the numerous Sword Intents, the Sword Embryo’s scars deepened, revealing more blackness and emanating powerful Sword Intent waves.

The clashes with the myriad Sword Intents were not about seeking defeat but using the thousands of Sword Qi to temper itself!

Now, the Sword Embryo grew sharper, seemingly possessing the power to cut through everything!

After a while, much of the Sword Embryo had shed its white exterior under the relentless grinding of the myriad Sword Qi, revealing the black within.

By this point, the numerous Sword Qi from the middle and lower layers could no longer affect it.

With a single thought from Su Yuan, the Sword Embryo suddenly surged upward, cutting through several strands of Sword Qi, finally breaking into the topmost layer of the Sword Enlightenment Tower!

Instantly, the tower fell silent, and none of the Sword Qi below followed.

Now Su Yuan, while controlling the Sword Embryo, finally saw that this layer had only eight sword scars.

However, the Sword Intent within these sword scars was vast like the cosmos, towering like the heavens, unfathomably deep, or endlessly changing…

Though Su Yuan couldn’t fully comprehend, he could feel that each of these Sword Intents far surpassed the thousands before!

Transcendent and Supreme!
