Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 351: Chapter 278: The Power of the Demon Blade

“Demon-controlling God Demon Saber?!”

Looking at the crimson long saber in his hand, Su Yuan’s pupils contracted abruptly. Although this long saber looked extremely extraordinary, he didn’t expect it to be this extraordinary!

A Star Device that binds after being taken into the body?

Once grown to a Legendary Grade?

A Demon Soul Avatar that can inherit the realm, abilities, and skills of the Imperial Master?

Su Yuan’s heart surged violently, and after a while, he took a deep breath and slowly calmed down!

“This is a huge gain!”

This was Su Yuan’s first thought.

Not to mention that this Demon-controlling God Demon Saber could grow to a Legendary Grade. Just the [Demon Soul] weapon skill alone put the Cloud Sword and similar Star Devices to shame!

The Cloud Sword had strong applicability, and its weapon skill [Cloud Domain] could greatly enhance the strength of most Star Card Masters, regardless of the Imperial Master’s original strength.

After all, Domain Skills were already rare, and this Cloud Domain was very practical.

However, the [Demon Soul] of the Demon-controlling God Demon Saber provided significantly different enhancements to different Star Card Masters.

The stronger you were, the more the [Demon Soul] increased your strength geometrically.

For an ordinary Gold Star Card Master, what difference did an extra Demon Soul Clone make?

Almost none.

A novice remained a novice. Counting the original self, it was just two novices, one times two.

But for a master, it was completely different.

It could be five times two, ten times two… or even more!

The advantages brought by the Demon Soul Avatar mainly lay in two aspects.

First, it avoided the consumption and cooldown of the main body’s ultimate skills.

Skills like Void Evil Manifesting Saints and Void required a lot of consumption or had quite astonishing burdens.

Just using Void once, Su Yuan felt that compared to the large consumption of Star Power, the side effects of physical weakness were more intense. If he forced it again, he might be bedridden for days.

Void, this Pupil Skill, could usually only be used once a day at most.

And Void Evil Manifesting Saints purely consumed a lot of Star Power!

But with the Demon Saber, at critical moments, he could directly summon the Demon Soul Avatar to use these high-consumption, high-side-effect skills instead of the main body!

Second, when fighting strong enemies, two together could break through their strength limits.

With an avatar that knew everything about itself, working together against an enemy, it could undoubtedly break the original strength limit greatly!

Moreover, the avatar could be used for luring the enemy, exploring, and as a backup response at critical moments… it was extremely flexible and useful!

However, such a strong skill was too overpowered for a Blue Star Artifact and surely had considerable restrictions.

To find out how, he would bind it to his body first…

With the Demon Saber, Su Yuan wouldn’t choose a Star Device like the Cloud Sword anymore. With a thought, he communicated with the Demon-controlling God Demon Saber in his hand, which had no resistance left.

Accompanied by a weird crimson glow, the Demon Saber disappeared from Su Yuan’s hand with a hum.

At this moment, in Su Yuan’s Star Power vortex, a [Demon-controlling God Demon Saber] was embedded like a Skill Star Card, and the binding was completed.

The term “binding” was generally only used for Epic or higher Star Devices.

First, because Epic and higher Star Devices were spiritual. If not restricted, they might disobey the Imperial Master during battle, which would be troublesome!

Second, no one wanted their Epic Star Device to be used by someone else if it accidentally fell into their hands.

Therefore, when crafting Epic and higher Star Devices, they were generally endowed with the “binding” function. The Star Device could be bound to the Imperial Master internally in a way similar to embedding. This strengthened the connection between the Imperial Master and the bound Star Device.

This way, both the Star Device could be forcibly controlled, preventing it from defying the Imperial Master’s will, and its existence could be sensed and recalled if it was lost.

Of course, there were downsides too.

When a bound Star Device was severely damaged or forcibly taken by someone using a secret technique, the Imperial Master would also suffer backlash.

At this moment, Su Yuan opened his right hand. An enchanting crimson light danced in his palm, and in the blink of an eye, the Demon-controlling God Demon Saber appeared in his hand.

Su Yuan stroked the blade, his eyes became serious, and Star Power surged from his hand into the blade.

“Demon-controlling God Demon Soul!”

Runes surged on the blade, the red light enveloped Su Yuan, and chains of crimson runes danced around him.

Su Yuan could feel that this was because the Demon Saber was reading his information upon first use of the Demon Soul Avatar.

After a while, the red light receded, and a crimson light leaped from the blade, forming an identical Demon Soul Avatar of Su Yuan from top to bottom.

Upon close inspection, the Demon Soul Avatar was identical to Su Yuan, except for the crimson pupils and a more enigmatic aura.

The Demon Soul Avatar stood there quietly, watching Su Yuan, waiting for orders.

The avatar differed from a clone. The clone was merely an energy body possessing a portion of the main body’s strength. The avatar was a more complicated and independent entity; it could act freely based on its own judgment without the Imperial Master.

Just like the previous Blood Robe boy avatar. Even though the main body had perished long ago, after being summoned by the Demon Saber, it could still act freely.

It was just that due to the energy loss and downgrade of the Demon Saber, the Blood Robe boy avatar was only at the Shining Star Level and had nearly lost all its abilities and skills.

The Blood Robe boy was obviously extraordinary. If not for this reason making the avatar fight purely with physical strength and Star Power, Su Yuan might not have resolved it so smoothly.
