The Almighty Ring

“Oh, hohoho, my dear master, have you forgotten? We Namekians are very technological. We don’t believe in ghosts and the like!” Akatziris grinned.

“You can’t do this, you can’t do this…” Jiang Fei’s mind was a total mess. He was being haunted by unbearable pain.

“I can’t? Look who’s here!” Following Akatziris’s laughter, two white lights flashed and Jiang Fei’s parents appeared in the prison room. Once she gained control over Braveheart, Akatziris could teleport ordinary people freely. Braveheart’s spatial technology was much more powerful than the teleportation matrix that they had previously used.

“Xiao Fei, what’s wrong?” Jiang Fei’s parents immediately noticed that Jiang Fei was in pain. At that moment, Jiang Fei was kneeling on the ground with his hands around his head. He looked so helpless, so miserable.

“Mum, Dad? Why are you here?” The moment Jiang Fei jerked his head up, two light beams hovered above his parents’ heads.

“No!” Jiang Fei screamed, his voice revealing so much pain that it was heartbreaking.

“My dear master, it seems like you already know what will happen next, right?” A smile crept across Akatziris’ mouth. She approached Jiang Fei’s parents, then said to them with a smile, “I’m sorry for making the two of you come here so suddenly. I just have something to ask from you both.”

“Who are you? What did you do to Xiao Fei?” Jiang Fei’s mother asked, glaring at Akatziris. Although she did not know who Akatziris was, she knew that Akatziris was the one causing her son so much pain.

“Oh, Auntie, don’t be angry. For your information, I was once Jiang Fei’s girlfriend!” Akatziris smiled slightly.

“What do you want from us?” Even though Jiang Fei’s father instinctively felt that things were not as simple as they appeared, he remained calm.

“Oh, it’s not a big deal. I just want your lives!” Akatziris appeared demonic.

“What the hell are you on about?!” Jiang Fei’s father exclaimed. While he knew that the matter was not an easy one, he did not expect them to once again be used by others to threaten Jiang Fei.

“Hoho, there’s no room for discussion! I was just informing you!” Akatziris’ cheerful countenance changed. When she moved her arm, the two light beams immediately pulled Jiang Fei’s parents up, leaving them floating in the air.

“My dear master, the show is about to start. Make sure to watch it carefully. If you miss something, I won’t be able to repeat the show for you!” Akatziris turned back and smiled at Jiang Fei.

“Akatziris, I’m begging you, please, let my parents go…” Jiang Fei begged bitterly. If he had not been powerless, he would have tried to fight her. Unfortunately, he could not save his parents right then. Thus, he could only give up his pride and dignity to give his parents a chance of survival.

“Oh, my dear master, do you remember how I begged you just a minute ago?” Akatziris sneered, then her face fell.

“My dear master, what did you say earlier? ‘You must suffer the consequences of your actions?’ Was that it?” Akatziris repeated Jiang Fei’s words.

“Reporting, Captain. We have reached our destination!” Just then, 0541 suddenly interjected.

“Mmm! Retrieve it as planned!” Akatziris nodded. Previously, after they had left the moon base, Braveheart was slowly headed toward the sun. They wanted to retrieve the energy station located in the orbit of the sun.

Long before it crashed, Braveheart had set up an energy station in the sun’s orbit. The energy station would absorb solar radiation energy and convert it into energy blocks. Then, the energy blocks would be sent to Braveheart’s engine room through the teleportation point.

Now that Braveheart had been rebuilt, Akatziris wanted to gather enough energy for Braveheart to travel through space. Therefore, she could only retrieve the energy station. After all, there were countless energy blocks there.

“Yes, Captain!” 0541 replied, then stopped talking.

“Ah, where were we?” After dealing with 0541, Akatziris turned to Jiang Fei again. She was like a cat who had just enjoyed a satisfying meal. She was just going to tease the little mouse, Jiang Fei until she had enough. Once she got tired or hungry, she would eat him!

“That’s right! We should begin the show…” Before Akatziris could finish her words, Braveheart suddenly shook.

“0541, what’s going on?” Akatziris asked.

“Reporting, Captain. There was an explosion near a sunspot just now. The solar wind interfered with our docking, but everything’s all right now!” 0541 answered.

“Okay, get on with it!” Akatziris waved. After such an interruption, she was no longer as excited to play with Jiang Fei. However, she still had no intention of stopping.

“My dear master…”

Boom… This time, Braveheart’s shaking was more pronounced.

“0541! Stop fooling around!” Akatziris became a little angry. She was enjoying Jiang Fei’s pain but had been interrupted twice. That made her very upset.

“Reporting, Captain. There’s quite a number of solar activity today. It will cause some dents in our hull, but it’s not a big problem. A few weak vibrations and it’ll be over,” 0541 explained.

“You’re such a killjoy!” Akatziris’ face fell. Nevertheless, she knew that they were but a speck of dust in the vast universe. Even the extremely advanced planet Namek was no match for the power of the universe. Braveheart was only a small ship. How could little Braveheart fight against the power of the stars?

“Captain, the docking is complete, and the energy blocks are being transferred…” 0541 was still pretty efficient. Although solar activity was frequent that day, he had successfully completed the docking and started to retrieve the energy station.

“My dear master, you’re very lucky. We’ll return to enjoy the show later!” Akatziris was no longer in the mood to torture Jiang Fei. As the energy station was located very close to the center of the sun, if a sunspot exploded, it would have a great impact on Braveheart. So, she planned to retrieve the energy station first, then deal with Jiang Fei. Jiang Fei could not escape anyway. Since she owned Braveheart, no one could pose a threat to her.

After Akatziris left, Jiang Fei looked up. He shouted at the light above his head, “0541, are you really not going to help me anymore?”

“Sorry, Jiang Fei. It’s not that I don’t want to, I can’t. If I even think of betraying the captain, my program will crash before I have the chance to do anything…” 0541 said helplessly.
