The Almighty Ring

Although the round-robin competition had the rule that a participant only won if he was able to defeat his opponent in two out of three matches, the Beastmen player knew Freewill was much stronger than he was. Therefore, he decided to forfeit before the second match even took place.

Freewill was able to emerge victorious without any hassle. With that, the morning competitions came to an end. As Jiang Fei was about to leave the arena with his women, the organizing committee sent someone over to remind him not to be late for the afternoon’s battle.

Jiang Fei’s afternoon match was at two o’clock. As it was the first match in the afternoon, the organizing committee was worried Jiang Fei would be late. If he were to not show up once more, it would be difficult to control the audience.

Jiang Fei went out to spend some time with his ladies. At about one o’clock, he made it back to the PvP arena. When the organizing committee saw that Jiang Fei arrived in advance, they were able to finally relax.

Very soon, the first battle in the afternoon began. It was Jiang Fei’s time to shine.

“Verdure Glider!”

“Verdure Glider!”

…

The moment Jiang Fei got on stage, the entire PvP arena went wild. After all, players from the Dark Faction made up more than two-thirds of the audience. Therefore, most of the audience members were Jiang Fei’s fans.

Ever since Jiang Fei wooed the Saint over and it was publicly announced, Jiang Fei had become the Dark Faction’s hero. Therefore, he had acquired a significant number of fans. Many of the professional players were jealous of Jiang Fei’s popularity.

“I believe this participant needs no introduction. He is the one and only Verdure Glider! He is number one in the Dark Faction and even the entire game! If you have not heard of Verdure Glider, you must either have only just started playing ‘Dawnlight’, or you must have been living under a well!” The host spoke only the truth. Jiang Fei had accomplished a lot of shocking feats in ‘Dawnlight’. The two most prominent feats were wooing the Saint of the Light and inducing the Information Release in advance.

“Verdure Glider, I love you!”

“Verdure Glider, we will always support you…”

…

Hearing the cheers of his fans below the stage made Jiang Fei feel very happy. After all, everyone had feelings of pride. It felt truly great to be at the center of attention and to be worshiped like a superstar.

“Our other participant comes from the Light Faction. He is also a remarkable professional player…” The host started introducing Jiang Fei’s opponent.

Jiang Fei saw his opponent on the battlefield. The Rider from the Light Faction was rather well-equipped with a full set of Level 50 equipment. The player had also reached Level 60 and was definitely an elite among the players.

However, unfortunately, the young fellow was unlucky and had not acquired a treasure like one of the Nine Cauldrons of the Ancient Kingdom. Therefore, he could not even last more than a hit from Jiang Fei.

After the host announced the start of the battle, Jiang Fei did not have time to let his opponent display his skills. Jiang Fei immediately raised his hand to use his Galestorm’s Hammer. His attack instantly killed the offense-type Rider.

“Verdure Glider!”

“Verdure Glider!”

Jiang Fei won with absolute ease. Everyone in the crowd cheered wildly. However, the audience also felt a little underwhelmed. After all, it was only the first round-robin match. If they wanted to see the battle between stronger opponents, it was nearly impossible. Therefore, the audience were not particularly dissatisfied.

Similarly, the Rider gave up directly in the second match. After all, the gap between himself and Jiang Fei in terms of their capabilities was far too great. He was significantly overpowered by Jiang Fei’s much higher Level.

There was more than a fifteen level gap between the two players. His attacks would mostly miss against Jiang Fei. However, Jiang Fei’s attacks on him were nearly all Critical Hits. On top of that, Jiang Fei had an insane Attack Power. He could basically kill his opponents with a single hit. Therefore, the Rider knew he did not stand a chance against Jiang Fei.

In the day’s program list, Jiang Fei only had one battle. Therefore, after the battle, he and Isabella as well as the other ladies proceeded to leave the PvP arena.

Jiang Fei originally planned on looking for Freewill. However, he had no luck with that. Freewill had immediately teleported back to the Light Faction after his battle ended. Jiang Fei did not dare to step into the Light Faction’s territory. Therefore, he could only let Freewill off the hook this time.

After leaving the PvP arena, only half of the game’s time had passed. As Jiang Fei did not have anything serious to deal with, he brought the ladies to play around in the Neutral region.

Just as Jiang Fei was playing with the ladies, a golden light appeared before them.

“Little kid, we meet again!” A familiar voice could be heard.

“Screw me! Why is it you again?” When Jiang Fei saw who it was, he rolled his eyes. The golden-haired young man before him was none other than the Dragon God Bennette Straz.

“Haha, young fellow, that’s because our lives are bound together by fate!” The Dragon God laughed at Jiang Fei.

“What do you want this time?” Jiang Fei asked cautiously. At the same time, the ladies behind him looked unhappily at the Dragon God.

The ladies hated the Dragon God partially because they were taught to be wary of him from a very young age. Also, they knew that this fellow liked to bring ladies to Jiang Fei. Therefore, none of them had a good impression of the Dragon God.

If not for the Dragon God’s frightening capabilities, and the fact that he was half of Isabella’s race leader, Isabella would have flipped on him a long time ago.

“Haha, of course there can only be good things for me to find you!” The Dragon God laughed.

“Stop it. You’ve messed with me more than once or twice!” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes.

“I have a quest for you to complete!” The Dragon God laughed.

“I’m not going!” Jiang Fei rejected the offer directly. Although the Dragon God had not explained what the quest was about, Jiang Fei knew he was up to no good based on the cunning smile on his face.

“You must complete this quest. Therefore, you do not have a choice!” The Dragon God continued to smile despite his stern voice.

“Ding! Dragon God Bennette Straz has forced a quest upon you: Secret Messenger! Quest has already been accepted!”

“D*mn! Again?” Jiang Fei was speechless. The Dragon God was abusing his special rights as a God to force quests upon Jiang Fei. This was not the first time it happened. Jiang Fei did not even have the opportunity to reject the quests.

Quest Name: Secret Messenger

Quest Objective: Deliver the Dragon God’s letter to the location xxx, xxx. There will be a mysterious person waiting for you there!

Quest Reward: Unknown.

Quest Duration: Two hours.

Penalty of Failure: All Attributes are reduced by 50% for one month!

“F*ck! You are messing with me again!” Jiang Fei took a look at the penalty of failure and knew he had no choice but to complete the quest.

“I am a very flexible person. The letter is here. You decide if you want to deliver it or not!” Since the quest had already been forced upon Jiang Fei, the Dragon God did not feel any sense of urgency.

“If you were a female dragon, I would kill you right now!” Jiang Fei said angrily. The location displayed in the hint was very far away. He would have to rush throughout the two hours of journey.

“I advise you to leave right away. If you are late…” The Dragon God looked at Jiang Fei cunningly as he laughed.

“Go home, all of you. I will deliver the letter first!” Jiang Fei had no choice but to send all the ladies away. After all, having so many of them on his Juvenile Skygliding Dragon would affect his overall flying speed.
