The Almighty Ring

To sell them for a better price, Jiang Fei did not put all of the Epic Rainbow Blades into the Auction House at once. After all, he had too much stock at hand, and the Blades would definitely be devalued if he threw all of them in at the same time.

Currently, Jiang Fei had thirty-seven Epic Rainbow Blades in his personal inventory. He also had one Legendary Rainbow Blade, but he did was not planning to sell the “Magician killer.”

In the first batch, Jiang Fei listed only three Epic Rainbow Blades in the Auction House. The reserve price was fixed at 1,000 gold coins. The auction would take two hours. If any tycoons were not willing to bid, again and again, they could just buy all three Blades for a package deal of 3,000 gold coins!

1,000 gold coins was most definitely an astronomical sum to ordinary players. This was most evident with how most of the players ran around in town used average Mounts instead of expensive ones. While tycoons could feel the pinch of 1,000 coins, it was well within their budget.

Jiang Fei set the Blades at such a price, leading the tycoons into believing that these Blades were top of the line. Moreover, the price was still within their budget!

“Ding! Your Enhanced Rainbow Blade has been purchased at buyout price!”

“Ding! Your Enhanced Rainbow Blade has been purchased at buyout price!”

“Ding! Your Enhanced Rainbow Blade has been purchased at buyout price!”

Originally, Jiang Fei had thought that the players would bid and fight for the Blades. However, as soon as he placed the three weapons into the Auction House, someone had immediately purchased all three.

“Damn! That popular?” Jiang Fei was also shocked. Even an Ascended Equipment which had skills attached to it would only be worth three or five hundred gold coins, at most. When he had set a reserve price of 1,000 gold coins, he was already feeling a little guilty. Yet again, Jiang Fei had underestimated the purchasing power of the tycoons in Dawnlight City!

In actuality, Jiang Fei had underestimated the impact of Han Tianyu’s advertising. One had to know that Han Tianyu was now the role model of all the tycoons in Dawnlight City. All the tycoons in Dawnlight City regarded Han Tianyu as their idol. So, Han Tianyu was now the one who set the fashion trend in Dawnlight City. He could easily set a fashion trend by walking around with a shovel on his back, let alone carry an Epic flashy sword!

Moreover, previously, as Han Tianyu had led a big group of people and rallied around the territory of the three major guilds, this immediately garnered the Rainbow Blade citywide fame. If there was just one Rainbow Blade in the entire game, then nobody would even attempt to imitate Han Tianyu. However, as soon as Jiang Fei announced that he would be selling Rainbow Blades, all hell broke loose.

There were tens of millions of players in Dawnlight City. Out of that population, thousands of them had to be tycoons, if not ten thousand. Everyone had their eyes on the Rainbow Blades. Since everyone in the tycoon community was so familiar with each other, they still had to have it, even if they did not have the right Class to equip it. Otherwise, if they met the other tycoons, how else would they have the courage to say hello?

“Interesting!” Jiang Fei smiled and put up another three Rainbow Blades, but they were instantly sold once again!

“Should we increase the price?” Isabella, next to Jiang Fei asked.

“No!” Jiang Fei shook his head. He had known Han Tianyu for a while now, so he somewhat understood how the minds of tycoons worked. If Jiang Fei had set the price at 10,000 gold coins at the start, these tycoons would most certainly buy it without hesitation if they found it worthwhile!

However, if Jiang Fei raised the price halfway through, these tycoons would definitely give up on buying the Rainbow Blades immediately. Even if Jiang Fei reduced the price later, no one would want the Blades anymore!

It did not matter if things were expensive and overpriced. Tycoons did not care about money. However, if you listed something in the hope that these tycoons would buy a pig in a poke, they would be unhappy. If someone had managed to buy it with 3,000 gold coins earlier, increasing it to 3,001 gold coins was enough to turn them off. Even if you reduced the price to 1,000 gold coins later, they would not buy it. Although the tycoons were interested in the equipment, they would be unhappy with the seller!

This was nothing like an auction. There were no fixed prices in auctions. Everyone would outbid and fight each other for the item. When tycoons became competitive, a lot of money would fly across the table. However, buyout prices were different. Even though the tycoons had money, they would not tolerate someone trying to take advantage of their desperation!

Now, there was only one way for Jiang Fei to maximize his profits. That was, to not set a buyout price and have these tycoons compete with each other. However, he had too many Rainbow Blades in his hands, yethe still wanted to start building his guild territory today. How could he possibly have time to waste?

“Forget it! There’ll still be many opportunities next time anyway!” Jiang Fei finally shook his head. He was not that interested in money. He would only work hard for money when he needed the money for something. When there was nothing that he could spend on, he could not care less about money.

Jiang Fei listed the Rainbow Blades in the Auction House in batches of three again and again. These Rainbow Blades were all purchased at the buyout price, almost instantly. When Jiang Fei sold off the last Epic Rainbow Blade in his inventory, many more tycoons were left waiting expectantly.

“Who still has a Rainbow Blade for sale? I’ll buy it for 4,000 gold coins!” After confirming that Jiang Fei was no longer selling anymore Rainbow Blades, some tycoons began to buy at a higher price!

Although this would cost them more money, the tycoons could accept paying more to “snatch” an item from others, but it was unacceptable if the seller increased the price to “trick” them!

Although he could not maximize the benefits, Jiang Fei had earned a massive sum of 110,000 gold coins from selling thirty-seven Epic Rainbow Blades!

Coupled with the money that Happy Drunk had given him before this, Jiang Fei had nearly 160,000 gold coins in his hands. This amount was not only enough to pay for the territory deposit, but it was also enough to cover the material costs for the early stages of construction!

*Sigh* “The world of tycoons is really difficult to understand!” Jiang Fei shook his head. He was definitely not interested to know if those tycoons who had not yet managed to get a Rainbow Blade would succeed in getting one. Now, Jiang Fei was focused on the castle and his guild territory!

The rules for building a territory were very simple. Firstly, you had to have a Territory Order. Secondly, you had to pay a deposit of 50,000 gold coins. Lastly, you had to choose a piece of land that was not owned by anyone!

Upon fulfilling these three conditions, the system would transfer that land to you. Then, you could start with construction work!

Jiang Fei had satisfied all three conditions. He had a Territory Order, and he had enough gold coins now. The “Underground Swamp Cavern” Secret Dungeon was located in the depths of the Swamp. It was such a remote and desolate place, that absolutely no one would want to own it!

“Citywide Announcement: Empyreal Dragon’s application for the construction of their guild territory has been approved. The construction period of one month for Empyreal Dragon will now begin. Within this period, other players cannot initiate an attack on players from Empyreal Dragon!”

Following the system announcement, the entire Dawnlight City fell silent. No one had expected that Jiang Fei would manage to quietly obtain another Territory Order and even start the construction of his guild territory! This was especially true for the people from the three major guilds. After seeing this announcement, none of them could sit still…
