My Sister Insisted on Swapping Marriages, and I Became a Marchioness Instead

Chapter 599: Chapter 599: I Am Very Unwilling to Accept This

The two were calculating with bright smiles, seemingly with military power in hand and beauties in their arms, looking down upon the world.

Seeing these two were blinded by interests, forgetting the dangers, taking lives lightly just to taste blood, Yelv Guza disdainfully looked up, thinking to himself, ”Heaven above, characters like King Jin are filthy yet can inherit the Da Xing Kingdom, while my Yelv Clan are but warriors, forced to leave our homeland in disgrace. If Heaven has eyes, it will surely aid me in heavily defeating the Gu Family, hollowing Da Xing to revive the Yelv Clan.”

...

Yang’er hadn’t returned yet, but the servant came back, beckoning outside the second gate, ”Marchioness, I have already gathered information.”

Qin Yuan and others stepped forward, the servant lowered his voice, ”I...”

The voice was so quiet, not much could be heard.

Hong Ye straightforwardly walked up, saying, ”You tell me, I’ll relay to Marchioness.”

The servant grabbed Hong Ye with one pull, and before she could scream, she was already dragged into the outer courtyard.

Seeing the situation turning bad, Qin Yuan tried to escape, only to be caught by someone, hands bound behind her back, bringing tears of pain.

The person said, ”I advise you to behave, and suffer less.”

Hehua tried to rescue her master, but was entangled in a fight, unable to divide attention.

Not long after, Cui Ming and others were knocked out and dragged into a small courtyard near the second gate.

Suppressing her fear, Qin Yuan coldly asked, ”What do you want to do?”

The man who captured her pushed her into the room, saying, ”Dingbei Marquis’s wife, if you behave, you’ll suffer less, and you’ll be released soon.”

Inside, a stimulating incense was burning, the scent was strong, Qin Yuan quickly held her breath, feeling her heart sink—she had finally fallen into a trap.

Yelv Xianyong had warned before that Yelv Guza would use such a means for revenge.

She should have been more cautious.

Her increasingly weakened body was heavily thrown into the canopy bed, and the man left a statement and closed the door from outside, not worried at all about her escaping.

”Dingbei Marquis’s wife might even thank me for this opportunity later, if you can please the noble, good days are ahead.”

Noble?

The Crown Prince is ill, it must be King Jin.

It seemed all previous efforts were to lure her, failing which, they resorted to an outright capture.

The scent grew stronger, and the body softer.

Supporting herself groggily, Qin Yuan managed to place an incense pill under her nose, the fresh scent surged through her nose, bringing immediate clarity, regaining some strength, she bit her finger, becoming more awake.

Then she took out a Golden Needle from her belt, stabbing it into an acupuncture point.

This time she was completely alert.

Time is of the essence.

She hurriedly got up and extinguished the aphrodisiac incense in the furnace, hiding behind the door.

Footsteps were already approaching, Qin Yuan clamped the Golden Needle between her fingers, intending a surprise attack.

Amidst all this commotion, she hadn’t noticed the rear window being quietly pried open.

A pair of eyes was peering inside through the crack.

Footsteps came closer.

The door opened and the thick scent of aphrodisiac incense filled the air, King Jin, with half his face covered in black gauze, looked toward the layers of scarlet curtains, within which a beauty awaited his favor.

A chaste maiden staying here for a mere half a tea time would become a wanton.

Gu the Third’s wife was soon to be his.

The scarlet curtains matched well, today he came as the groom.

”Beauty, don’t be afraid, elder brother will cherish you, once you’ve tasted it, you won’t be able to let go.”

King Jin reached out to lift the curtains, still chatting.

Suddenly, a sharp pain struck from his lower back, his bottom half stiffened.

Joy turned into shock.

He was about to call out, but his body wouldn’t listen, crashing forward into the canopy bed, followed by a pain in his neck, and then he knew nothing more.

Qin Yuan hadn’t expected it to be so easy, to be safe she was still holding a packet of powder, prepared by Xiao Dong, supposedly very effective.

”Seems there’s no need for powder,” Qin Yuan carefully put it back in her waist, at crucial moments, it could save a life.

What should be done next?

Where are Hong Ye and others?

Hesitating, Qin Yuan planned to open the door, when she heard rustling sounds, turning to see Gu Baoshu, who had already climbed halfway in.

At this moment, Qin Yuan was both surprised and delighted.

”Treasure Bead, why are you here? The Crown Prince fell into the water, my mother and I were worried.”

Gu Baoshu lightly landed on the ground, smiling, ”I came as soon as I got the message to save you.”

Qin Yuan stepped forward to embrace Gu Baoshu, saying, ”Treasure Bead, having you here is wonderful, I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to get out.” Gu Baoshu patted her shoulder reassuringly, smiling, ”Haha, I was watching from behind the window, you are truly smart and brave, calm in crisis, with the demeanor of a great general. The person I admire most in my life is you, I intended to wait until someone came before dealing with him, didn’t expect it wouldn’t require me to act.”

Releasing Gu Baoshu, Qin Yuan said, ”I couldn’t afford to be afraid at the time, thinking back, it was quite frightening. Does your third brother know about this?”

Gu Baoshu shook her head, ”Probably doesn’t know yet.”

Feeling a bit disappointed, but it wasn’t the time for chit-chat, Qin Yuan said, ”I don’t know where Hong Ye and Cui Ming were taken to, are we going out now?”

Gu Baoshu dismissed the thought, ”Don’t worry, I assure you they’re fine, just...”

She turned to look at King Jin, only showing his lower body, eyebrows furrowed, eyes full of malice, speaking softly, ”Just letting him go like this, I can’t reconcile.”

Qin Yuan couldn’t move the person, so she divulged the truth, ”Don’t worry, how could I spare him? Learned a few tricks from Doctor Li, afraid he will become... a eunuch.”

”You are truly formidable, no wonder we’re the best in the world.”

Gu Baoshu almost burst into laughter.

Her actions were truly to her liking.

Qin Yuan urged, ”Let’s go, don’t linger here.”

Gu Baoshu stood with hands on her hips, shaking her head.

”Not leaving, we’ll wait a bit longer, there’s still someone to wait for.”

”Still waiting for someone?” Qin Yuan was puzzled.

Gu Baoshu opened half the window to air, observing the courtyard’s situation, laughing, ”Do you remember the person reporting during the polo game?”

Qin Yuan nodded.

”Remember, she claimed to be a concubine of Yelv Zhi.”

”I was informed by her about you being here.”

Qin Yuan moved, ”Didn’t expect such gratitude, you gave her some jewelry, and she repeatedly helped us. Last time she came to report, we didn’t thank her properly, this time we must heavily thank her.”

Gu Baoshu nodded, ”Do you know her skills aren’t weak?”

”Yes, Sixteen praised her before, perhaps on par.”

Gu Baoshu smiled, ”I promised to take her away, she agreed to help me with one thing, let these people reap what they sow.”

Today, Qin Yuan was heavily guarded but still captured here, wishing to tear Duke Zhen Mansion and King Jin apart, hearing this naturally agreed.
