My Sister Insisted on Swapping Marriages, and I Became a Marchioness Instead

Chapter 501: Chapter 501: I Want to See How Ugly He Is

”Who was acting coy!”

Qin Yuan couldn’t stand it, and retorted.

”If this isn’t being coy, what is?”

Gu Jinghui released his grip, revealing those eyes glaring at him resentfully.

A beauty is alluring no matter what she does, even her angry glare makes his heart itch.

His hand, disobediently, pinched Qin Yuan’s delicate chin again, and then lightly kissed her.

While kissing, he muttered, ”This is being coy, you know? I can’t help it when you act like this.”

The attendant maids lowered their eyelids and hurriedly retreated.

The long and fiery kiss finally ended.

Qin Yuan softly nestled against Marquis Gu’s broad and sturdy chest, speaking in a more coquettish tone, ”You naughty thing.”

”If I’m not naughty, am I still a man?”

Marquis Gu’s words hit his sore spot.

Clearly a man, yet his young wife remains untouched.

So he leaned in again to bite Qin Yuan’s lips.

Qin Yuan hurriedly used her hand to fend him off, starting to bargain, ”You, you, if you do this again, you have to take me to see that Yelv Xianyong.”

”What’s so interesting about him?”

Marquis Gu was very dissatisfied.

His young wife wanted to see another man.

”I want to see how ugly he is.”

Hearing this, Marquis Gu was delighted again, indulging her with a smile, ”Alright, I’ll take you.”

What does it mean to be irresistible?

This is it!

Marquis Gu brazenly played around a bit more, then took Qin Yuan’s hand and walked outside.

Hong Ye and Cui Ming hurriedly came after.

Marquis Gu turned back, coldly said, ”You all stay here.”

Qin Yuan paused, laughed, ”You don’t have to worry, I’ll come back with the Marquis, if the Marquis can’t come, Sixteen or Shi Ba will escort me back.”

Marquis Gu looked down at her, gently promising.

”Don’t worry, I’ll personally send you back.”

Qin Yuan then smiled.

Their eyes contained no one else.

Hong Ye and Cui Ming paused at the corridor, no longer advancing.

Marquis Gu suddenly got interested, said, ”Since it’s just the two of us, let’s fly once more today.”

Qin Yuan was very excited, ”Alright.”

Seeing her so happy, Marquis Gu’s face was indifferent, but the corners of his lips subtly lifted.

Wrapping his arm around Qin Yuan’s slender waist, his toes tipped, and they leaped onto the courtyard’s tallest treetop, drawing gazes upward, seeing only their garments fluttering like celestial beings.

Marquis Gu’s toes tipped again, leaving the courtyard, vanishing from sight.

The autumn night’s breeze brought the scent of lotus leaves from the distant lotus pond.

Qin Yuan sighed, ”On the Mid-Autumn night, let’s invite a theater troupe, play music on the lotus pond boats, while the family sits around in the pavilion enjoying the moon, it’ll surely be beautiful.”

Marquis Gu looked at her lovely profile, eyes filled with tender fondness.

”You handle the arrangements.”

As they spoke, they arrived at the outer hall, the servant guarding the study entrance saw Marquis holding the lady and landing at the porch, rubbing his eyes in astonishment.

”Where’s Sixteen?” Marquis Gu asked.

The servant quickly replied, ”He’s at Sixth Master’s place, I’ll go call him.”

Marquis Gu nodded.

Qin Yuan followed him into the study, asked, ”Why not go to the dungeon?”

Marquis Gu glanced at Qin Yuan, explained, ”The dungeon is dirty and smelly, I’ve had Yelv Xianyong brought here for questioning, you hide behind the screen and don’t make a sound.”

Qin Yuan thought for a moment, ”Alright, since he’s in the dungeon planning to starve himself to death, treating him with courtesy might be better.”

Marquis Gu said with a smile, ”As long as we can win his heart.”

Gu Shiliu hurried in, asked, ”What does the Marquis need from me?”

Marquis Gu said, ”Go and invite Yelv Xianyong here for questioning.”

Gu Shiliu saw Qin Yuan present, was surprised.

The marquis wasn’t concealing anything.

At this rate, the lady might get involved in everything.

Marquis Gu continued, ”The lady will listen from behind the screen, have someone clean him up and change into clean clothes before bringing him in.”

So as not to offend his young wife.

Qin Yuan’s eyes twinkled, interjected, ”Also have the kitchen prepare wine and dishes, best the ones you often eat at Northern Border.”

Gu Shiliu hesitantly glanced at Marquis Gu.

Marquis Gu said, ”Do as the lady suggests.”

Gu Shiliu hurriedly complied, went on to make arrangements.

Not long after, a servant brought a large food box.

First presented a plate of fried peanuts, then a plate of marinated beef, a plate of poached chicken, followed by a large bowl of stewed lamb with several starch pieces, topped with cilantro floating above.

A peculiar fragrance swiftly filled the entire study.

Qin Yuan pinched her nose, ”Why does it smell so strong?”

Marquis Gu smiled and pinched her cheek.

”At Northern Border, people often said, if mutton doesn’t have the gamey smell, women aren’t coy. You have to use cilantro to stimulate the lamb’s aroma, dip it with prepared sauce for the best taste.”

The servant said, ”Reporting to Marquis and Madam, today it’s timely, Housekeeper Han has been clamoring for a while that it’s time to eat mutton soup to nourish the body in autumn. The kitchen just stewed it on the stove, planning to use it as broth, otherwise, it wouldn’t be so quick.”

Marquis Gu laughed and cursed, ”That old rascal, thinking of this from early autumn.”

The servant took out the sauce dish and liquor from the food box.

After setting everything up, he withdrew.

Marquis Gu softly coaxed, ”Do you want to try? It smells gamey, but the taste is very fresh, goes best with liquor, most nourishing in fall and winter. If you dislike the gamey smell, I’ll have the kitchen use spices to cover the taste.”

Qin Yuan smiled, ”I’ll pass for today. Doctor Li also said, eating this more in winter warms your hands and feet, it’s indeed good.”

Marquis Gu laughed, ”In winter you’ll share a bed with me, I won’t let you feel cold at all, my body is warm, like a stove.”

Qin Yuan’s face turned red.

Marquis Gu laughed even more indulgently.

Qin Yuan stomped; ”I’m hiding behind the screen now. The food’s smell can mask my incense, he won’t guess there’s someone behind the screen.”

”Your breaths need to be shallow and slow.”

Marquis Gu said with a smile, ”Martial artists have extraordinary hearing.”

Qin Yuan thought for a moment, ”Then have someone bring mother’s little dog.”

Marquis Gu laughed even more heartily.

How did his young wife’s mind work, coming up with such an idea?

He shouted outside, ”Shi Ba, get the Old Madam’s little dog from the main house.”

In a matter of minutes, the little dog was brought.

Marquis Gu took it, checked thoroughly, then handed it to Qin Yuan.

The soft furry little dog cuddled obediently in Qin Yuan’s arms, with shiny eyes, droopy ears, looking very content.

Marquis Gu felt a bit jealous and couldn’t help but complain, ”This dog is enjoying more than a person.”

Qin Yuan smilingly petted the dog’s head, retorted, ”You’re getting more unruly, could the dog become Marquis?”

Marquis Gu said, ”Though never a Marquis, it has been a Great General.”
