Jason turned sharply as he heard someone shout from below!

”I like that look in your eyes, you monster! That look of despair and confusion! That is the same look our people had when they were attacked and massacred by you for no reason! We’ll show you what it means to bury millions of your own people! It doesn’t matter if we all lose our lives here! We’ll make sure we send enough humans to the River of the Afterlife to keep the Grim Reaper busy for the next hundred years!”

Sexes shouted with an angry snarl on his face, and Jason narrowed his eyes as his cellphone began to ring. Jason kept his eyes on the battle happening below, and he picked up the phone calmly.

”Cerci.”

[I’m sure you’ve heard. Multiple countries are being attacked by interworld travellers. I’ve sent out Gaia agents to intercept them, but they have TITAN Rank weapons. It’s unlikely we’ll last long.]

”Recall all Monarch Guild superhumans above A rank and send them in, and tell the countries to send their strongest superhumans as well. I’ll provide support with my subordinates from here.”

[Understood. But where are you? My scanner shows that you’re surrounded by multiple hostile mana signatures. Is your location also under attack?]

”I’m dealing with a pest infestation. Tell your agents and the superhumans to hold the Machina back for three minutes. You’re allowed to use any method to take care of the issue, so long as you minimize loss of human life. As for the Machina, there’s no need to take any prisoners.”

[Alright, we’ll hold them back until you arrive.]

”Good.”

Jason cut the phone and put it away, and then he finally turned towards the Machina below him! Jason had been planning to sit back and allow his subordinates to take the Machina down systematically since it would help them gain experience while ensuring that his family wasn’t caught up in any attacks. But now that Jason knew that he was needed in other parts of the world, he could no longer afford to waste time here! Jason reached to the side, and his hand vanished into his alternate dimension, and Jason pulled out the TITAN Rank artefact [Spear of Heaven]! Jason looked over all the Machina that were still alive, and he counted exactly how many of them were left before his eyes bled red!

DOON!

The entire area shook from Jason’s power as he activated his Vympir bloodline! Jason’s strength suddenly shot up from a high-level TITAN Rank I to a low-level TITAN Rank II, and all the Machina below looked up in shock when they saw this!

Varon immediately screamed at the other Machina!

”He’s planning an attack! Spread out and attack him from different directions! Don’t let him get close to you!”

The Machina all started to spread out while firing at Jason at the same time, and Jason pointed his spear forward and activated the defensive property!

Shine!

A brilliant golden shield burst to life around Jason and Gina to protect them, and Jason sent an order to his subordinates!

’Spread out.’

The subordinates wasted no time as they immediately did as they were told, and they moved so that each of them was close to at least one Machina! What happened next was something that no one could follow! All the Machina here had been present during Jason and Gillian’s attack on Machina, and they survived that massacre by fighting desperately for their lives! Many of them believed that they had already seen the worst of what Jason was capable of, and they didn’t believe that Jason would be able to handle all of them after they took so many countermeasures! The Machina had used the souls of the dead Machina killed during the massacre as the catalyst for this ritual, and they knew that at his current power level, Jason wouldn’t be a threat to anyone above TITAN Rank I! And yet, even with all the preparations that they had done, no one was prepared for what Jason did next!

Jason lowered the [Spear of Heaven] to his side so he was holding it at the ready, and then Jason activated an SS Rank skill!

[Time Dilation]!

The world suddenly slowed to a crawl before it finally snapped into focus, and time froze! This skill only lasted for five seconds, but with the [Spear of Heaven] in his hand, five seconds was all Jason needed!

Five.

[King’s Substitute]!

Slash!

Jason suddenly switched places with a subordinate close to him, and he lashed out with a slash that took off the heads of three Machina at once! Jason activated [King’s Substitute] again and appeared in another position to take off two more heads!

Four.

Slash!

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Slash! Slash!

Three.

Slash! Slash!

This continued over and over and over again, as Jason moved across the entire battlefield using his Legion skill to cut off the heads of every Machina! Since all of Jason’s subordinates were so close to one another, Jason barely needed to use any mana to travel from one subordinate to another, so Jason wasn’t bothered by his reduced mana!

Two.

The five seconds of the [Time Dilation] skill were already coming to an end, and Jason finally switched places with the subordinate who was standing right in front of the leader of the Machina, Varon. Jason was looking down at Varon with an emotionless gaze, and he simply waited patiently for the time to run out.

One.

”!”

Varon shook in fear when he saw Jason suddenly appearing in front of him! To Varon, it looked like Jason had simply vanished from where he had been standing and appeared here, and Varon was about to shout something to the Machina around him! But Varon was shocked when he realised that all the Machina had gone silent! Varon looked around the battlefield as his heart began to race, and Varon watched with wide eyes as the decapitated heads of his comrades started to fall off their shoulders! The Machina fell to the ground like puppets whose strings had been cut, and Varon looked into Jason’s red glaring eyes with a newfound fear! When had Jason done this? How did he do it!? Varon watched Jason all this time, and he didn’t even see Jason move, so how did Jason manage to kill all the Machina soldiers!?

”Y-You monster.”

Varon spoke through gritted teeth as he tightened his hold on his sword, and Jason’s cold gaze was the only reaction Varon received. Jason raised his spear to Varon’s neck and spoke.

”If you had simply accepted your fate, then I would’ve gladly given your people the grace to rebuild your world to its former glory. But now, you’ve angered me, Varon, and you have lost that privilege. I want you to die with the knowledge that I will never allow the Machina to grow to the glory that they once possessed. I will shackle your people and destroy your history. Your children will grow up learning about how their foolish parents doomed their entire race, and if there is ever a time when any of those children grow up to seek vengeance, I will cut them like weeds from a garden. Your foolishness has doomed your people to a life of mediocrity.”

Varon’s heart grew colder the longer he heard Jason speaking, and by the time Jason was done, Varon knew that Jason would do everything he promised! But Varon didn’t care! Even if he lost his life and the future generations were enslaved, Varon would die with the knowledge that the humans would suffer just like the Machina had suffered! Varon spoke up with a vindictive smile on his face!

”I might die here, but I swear you’ll suffer! Your entire world will suffer for what you’ve done! You’re too late to stop -!”

SLASH!
