Strongest Necromancer System

The slime became Alex’s everyday life, and he would run tests and feed it different substances every day to see what it could really do! As time passed, Alex discovered that the Slime did more than just mimic the physical structure of anything it ate. The slime literally changed its DNA every time it consumed something and integrated some of the DNA of its food into its own body! This slime was like nature’s very own Chimera! People began to worry about the intense focus that Alex was showing to this experiment, and there were even some rumors that the school was planning to assign the experiment to another lab since Alex’s lab had not been showing a lot of results lately. After learning about this, Alex became so enraged that he snuck into the science lab one night and stole the slime! This was the first time that Alex had truly shown any interest in an experiment and rediscovered his love for biology, and the school suddenly wanted to take that away from him!? Alex refused to allow them to do that to him!

Alex took the slime and was about to escape, but he was seen by some guards, and they chased him as he tried to run out of the lab. In the midst of all the madness, Alex somehow ended up in the middle of a busy highway, and he was hit by a massive truck barrelling down the road!

The next time Alex opened his eyes, he was in a strange new world that he didn’t recognize. Everything around Alex was dark and mysterious, and for some reason, his perspective was from a very low angle. Alex tried to move his body, but he couldn’t feel any limbs that would allow him to stand, and the only thing he could do was to crawl forward until he reached a river and saw his reflection from the moonlight. Alex felt shock pass through him as he realised that he had been reborn as the Chimera Slime! At first, Alex was terrified! How in the world would he live as a slime!? He wasn’t capable of surviving like this!? But as time passed, Alex began to realise that this world was far more special than anything he had seen back on Earth! This world was filled with a strange power, and it didn’t take long for Alex to discover that this power was Magic! There was magic in the air, the plants, and even in the animals! And the first time Alex ate a plant leaf, he realised that he had not only gained the appearance of the Chimera Slime, but he had also acquired its abilities! Alex could absorb the mana and DNA from everything around him by simply consuming them!

The next few years were very difficult for Alex. He was just a slime in the middle of a massive forest that was filled with dangerous monsters, so he had to be very careful not to be killed. But with time, Alex continued to grow stronger as he ate more and more powerful creatures and plants. Alex learned more about his body as time passed, and he slowly mastered how to transform his body into the various organisms that he had eaten! In his true form, Alex was just a massive black slime with a non-threatening appearance that made him look harmless, but when he eats any magical beast, like the Moonlight wolf or even a Dark Serpent, he could transform himself into one of them! And since he also gained the memories and personality of the creature he eats, Alex could blend into their group without any effort at all and live as one of them for a long time!

Alex continued to consume the animals and plants, and he continued to grow stronger, but his true growth only began after the first time Alex stumbled on a battlefield during the Period of Lawlessness. The scene that greeted Alex on that battlefield was something he could’ve never imagined, even in his wildest dreams! There were bodies everywhere! For as far as the eyes could see into the horizon, bodies littered the ground and buildings like grains of sand on the desert floor! Blood flowed freely across the earth like a river of red and dyed the world in its red hue, and the stench of death and decay could be perceived from everywhere! If he had still been a regular human from his former world, then Alex would have definitely gotten sick just from the sight that greeted him! But now that he was a slime and he had truly accepted his identity as a monster, there was only one thought that went through Alex’s mind when he saw the bodies of all the warriors littering the battlefield!

’So much food!’

Alex had now become a true monster that could understand the brutalities of war and appreciate the benefits that it gave to him! That day, Alex consumed more than fifteen thousand warriors from the battlefield, and his power rose exponentially as a result! This became Alex’s newest strategy for gaining power! Since Alex could gain a lot of power without even having to work for it, then why did he have to continue living as a rotten animal in the forest!? No, Alex decided that his life as an animal was now behind him, and he chose instead to begin moving across battlefields to consume the bodies of dead warriors!

’If this were a light novel, it would have some silly name like ’Only I reap the benefits from consuming dead bodies on the battlefield’, or ’My life as a Chimeric slime: I absorb dead bodies on the battlefield’.’

This was the thought that passed through Alex’s mind after he made his new resolution, and he couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement! Alex had read a lot of light novels and web novels during his time in his previous world, and he couldn’t believe that he had now become like one of those webnovel protagonists! Alex immediately started his journey across battlefields and began to reap the benefits of the war. Whenever Alex heard stories of a concluded battle, he would move towards the location where the battle took place to reap the benefits! Wherever there were dead bodies gathered to rot, Alex would be there to consume them for himself! This continued for a very long time, and Alex continued to grow stronger without any effort at all! After all this, Alex was finally about to break through into the SSS Rank in strength. It was a little disappointing for Alex to only be this strong after consuming thousands of bodies, but Alex only absorbed a certain percentage of the power from any creature that he consumed, and even though he could grow stronger by consuming thousands of low-ranking soldiers, Alex was always on the lookout for more powerful mages that would allow him to grow even faster.

But it was obvious that Alex’s luck would eventually run out someday. That day came during a battle between the Avaran warriors that Alex had heard so much about and a race of fire-based mages known as the Balaran. The Balaran were a fierce warrior race that had taken over more than fifteen different worlds during the Period of Lawlessness. They were led by a powerful TITAN Rank warrior hailed as the strongest fire-based magician in the entire Primordial Expanse, and since Alex had been following them for a long time, he knew that the Balarans were truly a force to be reckoned with in any battle. But even with all their experience and power, they were still no match for the Avarans.
