The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Nolan had several people he believed might be Seira’s reincarnation. The first was Elina.

His sister had been with him since birth, so the possibility was quite high.

Moreover, the goddess had mentioned someone ”close to him,” and Elina certainly fit that description.

The second was Eliza. The little girl was much younger than him, but if he followed the timeline of Seira’s death from old age and compared it with this world’s timeline, the possibility was also quite high.

The third was Rafine. She shared some traits with Seira, though there were also several differences. For that reason, Nolan placed her last on his list of possibilities.

And finally, there was Seira herself—the First Princess and his older sister.

Compared to the others, Seira had a fairly strong case. For one, her hair color and facial features resembled those of his fiancée.

In the past, Nolan had briefly wondered whether Seira was his fiancée’s reincarnation, but he eventually dismissed the idea as absurd.

The most striking moment had been when Seira cooked for him and Elina at the palace.

Nolan remembered that Seira hadn’t known how to cook. Yet somehow, she had managed to prepare such delicious food. She had most likely taught herself.

However, the dishes had been from Earth, and their taste had also reminded Nolan of his fiancée’s cooking.

”If one of them really is Seira’s reincarnation…”

Nolan gazed up at the clear blue sky.

”What should I do?”

Aside from Rafine, they were all his blood relatives.

It was impossible for him to have a romantic relationship with any of them.

Besides, Seira’s reincarnated soul didn’t seem to have fully awakened yet. In other words, the body she inhabited still retained its own personality.

If her memories were to fully resurface, what would happen to that personality?

Would she remain his sister, or would she become Seira?

Although Nolan wanted to meet Seira again, he didn’t want to sacrifice his own sister.

”Argh!”

Nolan stomped his foot.

Boom!

The ground cracked and shattered beneath him, but he didn’t seem to care. Just thinking about the situation gave him a terrible headache.

”Damn… That goddess is truly cruel for putting me in this dilemma,” he growled in frustration. ”Or maybe this struggle is also part of the gods’ punishment? If so, that’s even crueler…”

He didn’t care if the people of this world forgot him. But he couldn’t bear the thought of never being able to love the person he had longed for across two lifetimes.

That was far more painful than being killed by a sword.

Nolan took a deep breath and gradually calmed himself.

”I have to find Seira’s reincarnation as soon as possible,” he muttered, his expression cold. ”Whether she was reincarnated as Elina, Eliza, Rafine, or Seira Lorian, I have to find her first.”

With his new identity, he could move more freely and observe them from a distance. Besides, he had a more pressing concern—his younger sister, Alice.

She, too, had been reincarnated into this world, as the daughter of a viscount in the northern region. However, he still didn’t know her family name.

With the help of the Blue Moon Trading House, he was confident he would discover it sooner or later.

…

”You idiot! Haven’t you finished your work yet? You’re completely useless!”

The woman slapped the young girl in front of her hard across the cheek.

The girl was sent flying to the side before crashing onto the carpet. A red mark stood out on her cheek, showing how hard the slap had been.

”I told you to finish it in two hours! Don’t you understand!?” the woman shouted.

She was about to kick the girl when a maid hurriedly grabbed her.

”M-Miss Elena, please don’t hurt Young Miss Leona anymore!”

”Let me go!”

Elena struggled violently, still trying to hurt Leona, but the maid held her back. The other maids rushed over to help restrain her.

”One of you, call the doctor and tell him that Lady Elena’s condition has flared up again!” one of the servants ordered.

”I’ll do it,” another maid replied.

”I’m not sick! Damn it, let me go! I’ll fire all of you!”

The maids ignored her threats and hurriedly dragged Elena away from Leona.

”Are you all right, Young Lady?”

A maid with short brown hair helped Leona to her feet.

Leona’s cheek was flushed, but she shook her head.

”I’m fine. Thank you.”

When Leona raised her head, the maid saw her face clearly. Bruises covered her temple, right cheek, and neck.

The maid’s heart felt as though it were being squeezed by an invisible hand.

Tears streamed down her face as she said in a trembling voice, ”Y-Your injuries are serious, young lady! I’ll take you to the infirmary!”

”Wait!”

Leona hurriedly stopped her.

”I’m fine. It’s not necessary.”

”B-But—”

”It’s okay. Thank you for worrying about me,” Leona interrupted, shaking her head. ”Just bring the medicine to my room, please. And bring a basin of hot water and a clean cloth.”

The maid began to cry at Leona’s stubbornness. However, she didn’t dare argue and could only nod weakly.

”Mhm… Please wait in your room. I’ll bring you everything you asked for.”

After the maid left, Leona took a deep breath and straightened up.

But the next second, her legs gave out, and she nearly fell. Fortunately, she quickly grabbed the table to steady herself.

”It hurts so much…” she groaned, clutching her face. ”I’m really unlucky to have been reincarnated into this body.”

But she couldn’t complain. The chance to live a second life was reserved for the truly fortunate, and she was one of the few who had received it.

”I have to hang in there.”

After encouraging herself, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a photograph.

It showed a handsome man with black hair and purple eyes.

He wore a black robe and a cape bearing a dragon emblem on its right side.

The smile on his face looked annoying, but to Leona, he was more handsome than anyone she had ever seen.

”Nolan… Lorian…”

That was the name of the man in the picture. He looked remarkably similar to her older brother from her previous life, Nolan Frey.

When she first reincarnated into this world, her parents often talked about him and his twin sister, Elina Lorian.

Curious, she asked a servant to bring her pictures of the two of them. The moment she saw Nolan Lorian’s picture, her heart began to race.

Not because she had fallen in love with him or anything like that, but because his face and figure closely resembled those of her older brother, who had died in an accident.

What’s more, she’d had a strange dream a month ago. In it, Elena brutally tortured her, but a faceless, dark-skinned figure came to her rescue.

The man claimed to be her older brother.

Leona took a deep breath and whispered, ”I have to find him… no matter what!”
