The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Boom!

Boom!

The aura erupting from Mathias’ body surged like a volcano.

Powerful shockwaves rippled in all directions, shaking the pillars and walls of the hall.

Rocks flew violently, shattering parts of the walls on both sides.

Nolan raised his right arm to shield his face while activating his Eyes of Chaos to examine Mathias’ body.

A surge of magical energy? What happened? How could he do that? Nolan was taken aback.

As the name suggested, a magic surge was a sudden increase in magic power. It could be caused by many factors, but the most common was when a mage drank a special potion capable of drastically boosting his strength.

But that was definitely not the case for Mathias. His internal organs were already severely damaged, and he barely had any magic power left.

That left only one possibility—all of this had to be connected to the mysterious token. Nolan couldn’t be certain yet, but his gut told him it was the cause.

Boom!

Black light exploded from Mathias’ body, enveloping the entire hall. The glow was so intense that Nolan had to shut his eyes.

Bang!

The top of the hall shattered, accompanied by a soul-shaking growl.

Moments later, the glow slowly faded until it finally vanished.

Mathias, who had been lying on the floor just moments ago, had transformed into a monstrous giant nearly two hundred meters tall.

Its body towered over the hall’s ceiling, and its massive legs made Nolan look insignificant in comparison.

The creature was neither dragon nor beast, but a black-skinned humanoid. Red scales covered its body, and a single horn jutted from the center of its head.

Its fiery red eyes bulged menacingly, and its rows of sharp teeth were nothing short of terrifying.

Roar!

A thunderous roar burst from its mouth, unleashing shockwaves that shook the entire island and the surrounding sea.

Ten kilometers away, the battle between the two warships and the sea monster still raged on.

Despite the earlier incident on the Luvistar, the situation aboard the first ship remained stable and secure—thanks to Elina, who had quickly taken command.

At first, many soldiers doubted whether she could handle it. But the moment she displayed remarkable leadership, they were stunned and chose to trust her.

Boom!

Dozens of energy spheres slammed into the monster’s massive body, leaving it wounded. Yet this time, something was different.

Before, the monster would instantly regenerate, its body returning to its original state as if those attacks had never touched it.

But now, the wounds refused to heal, and blood continued to spill from them.

Roar!

A deafening roar echoed in all directions, forcing the soldiers to cover their ears in pain.

The monster’s attacks grew more frenzied, throwing them into panic.

”Don’t panic!” Elina’s sharp voice cut through the chaos. ”Can’t you see? The monster is roaring in pain! I don’t know how, but it’s lost its regeneration ability! Our attacks are working!”

Her words left them stunned. Instinctively, they turned their eyes to the monster’s body. Sure enough—the wounds remained, refusing to heal as they had before.

”Princess Elina was right! Our attack worked, hahaha!” one of the soldiers shouted with laughter.

”Yeah! I never thought that would actually happen! Incredible!” Another chimed in, no less excited than the first.

Cheers erupted among the soldiers, but Elina quickly calmed them with a stern warning. ”Don’t let your guard down! Launch another assault! We have to finish that monster right now!”

”Yes!” they shouted in unison before unleashing another barrage of attacks on the monster.

It wasn’t just the first ship that noticed—the second ship, under Ruthark’s command, also sprang into action.

”That monster’s lost its regeneration ability! Attack again! We end this now!” Ruthark roared.

”Yes!” the soldiers responded with equal excitement.

”Die! Die!” Rafine screamed as she continued firing Lucite at the monster.

Her usually graceful face had twisted into something fierce, almost unrecognizable.

The two soldiers hauling Lucite from the storehouse and loading it into the cannon could only stare in shock.

They swallowed nervously. Everyone knew Rafine for her elegance and charm.

But that image was now completely shattered—she looked like a madwoman who had lost all sense of reason.

Still, they didn’t dare say a word and simply carried on with their duties.

Just as the soldiers’ morale reached its peak, a thunderous roar erupted in the distance.

Roar!

Everyone gasped in shock—even the sea monsters froze. In unison, they turned toward the source of the sound and saw a black silhouette rising high into the sky.

A thin mist veiled the distance, making the figure hard to see clearly. But one thing was certain: it was humanoid—and it was black.

”What is that?” Ruthark’s eyes widened in horror, his heart pounding. ”Don’t tell me, it’s a monster too?”

All his life, the largest humanoid monsters he had seen were no bigger than a three-story building. But now, far in the distance, stood a giant humanoid as massive as the sea monster—no, even larger.

A monster? How is that possible? Rafine whispered in disbelief.

Her hands froze mid-action, halting the energy ball she was about to launch at the sea monster before her. Even from such a distance, the cold aura radiating from the giant reached them.

Just looking at it sent shivers down her spine.

Roar!

Once again, the monster’s roar thundered across the sea. The shockwave rushed over, forcing everyone to cover their ears as the ships rocked violently and massive waves slammed against their hulls.

Elina frowned, her gaze locked on the distant figure.

What is that? An enemy? If it is, how can we possibly fight it? she thought grimly.

They were already exhausted from battling the sea monster—facing another was beyond them.

She bit her lip and murmured, ”I hope everything will be alright...”

***

”Hah... What a hassle. A human turning into a catastrophic-level monster? What a joke...”

Floating in the sky, Nolan crossed his arms over his chest, staring lazily at Mathias, now a towering humanoid.

From its aura, it was clear the monster had reached a catastrophic level—on par with the black dragons he had slain in the capital and the northern region.

But there was a difference—this one felt slightly stronger.

In the next instant, the monster moved. It glared at Nolan with hatred, then opened its massive mouth.

Buzz!

A deep purple sphere of energy began to form, twisting the weather around it. The already dark, misty sky turned pitch black as heavy rain poured down.

Whoosh!

The monster hurled the energy sphere at Nolan with blinding speed.

But Nolan remained unfazed. With a casual flick of his hand, a giant mouth appeared before him.

The energy sphere froze midair, then was swallowed whole, vanishing without a trace.

Nolan yawned and looked on indifferently. ”Whether you’re human or monster, you’re still weak before me...”
