Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 2700: Chapter 2701: Infighting Among the Evil Beings

This black light shot forward like an arrow released from the bow, reaching the performer almost in an instant.

He seemed paralyzed with fear, standing motionless in place.

At that moment, a white light streaked across diagonally, striking the black light directly.

Bang!

Accompanied by a muffled sound, the black light shattered into mist.

A faint groan of pain came from the stands behind.

The performer seemed to sense something, turned his head abruptly, and saw Xue An sitting in the front row on the left.

Xue An smiled faintly.

The performer was slightly taken aback, then quickly returned the smile.

Meanwhile, the theater was a cacophony of noise — chatting, jeering, and yelling all mixed together into a chaotic uproar.

But quickly, the theater’s security rushed in in single file, and the clamor gradually quieted down.

At this point, the performance definitely couldn’t continue.

The audience members were ushered out of the theater in an orderly manner.

Ren Ning twisted nervously in her seat, whispering.

”Why don’t we leave too?”

Xue An smiled faintly, ”Don’t rush, let’s wait a bit longer!”

Ren Ning was full of confusion.

What’s there to wait for at this point?

Just then, the attendant who had led them in before approached and respectfully said.

”Sir, my young master requests the pleasure of your company backstage.”

Xue An seemed to have anticipated this and nodded casually, ”Alright, I understand!”

Then he stood up and said to Ren Ning, ”Wait here, don’t go anywhere!”

With that, Xue An told the attendant, ”Lead the way!”

Ren Ning watched Xue An leave with the attendant, her expression bewildered, then she suddenly shivered and shrunk into her seat, afraid to even lift her head.

The theater was a typical front-and-back setup, and Xue An followed the attendant through a maze of turns until they finally reached backstage.

The attendant motioned forward, ”My young master awaits you inside, please enter!”

Xue An entered the backstage without hesitation, parting the curtains as he went.

At this moment, the backstage was empty, dimly lit, with only one person busily working on something in a corner with a mirror.

Hearing footsteps, the person didn’t even turn his head, just said calmly, ”Sit!”

Xue An didn’t stand on ceremony, found a chair, and sat down.

Once again, the backstage lapsed into silence.

It was so quiet you could hear the sound of the person at the mirror handling various bottles and jars.

Xue An was in no hurry, instead watching with interest.

Finally, after a long while, the person at the mirror removed the heavy makeup to reveal an exceedingly delicate and refined face.

But this face bore a conspicuous stubble.

Indeed!

This person, who could outshine a woman with his makeup, turned out to be a man.

He slowly turned around and smiled slightly at Xue An.

”Thank you for earlier!”

Xue An gave him a deep look and then shook his head, ”No need to thank me, it was a mere gesture!”

The man smiled with lips pressed, a smile full of allure, ”You may think it was a small thing, but to me, it was a lifesaving act, because if not for you, I might have crossed to the other side by now!”

Xue An, rather intrigued, asked.

”I’m more curious about who is after you, after all... you, as a supernatural entity, should hold a dominant position in this world. Why are you being hunted instead?”

The man’s expression darkened, ”Indeed, nothing can be concealed from you. Yes, I am a supernatural entity, but your question has a simple answer: internal strife among us is common, and I am no exception!”

Hearing the man’s tale, Xue An raised an eyebrow slightly.

”Internal strife? So you’re not united among yourselves?”

”Not only are we not united, it’s reached a life-and-death struggle.”

The man smiled bitterly, ”If that weren’t the case, do you think I’d be willing to do this?”

From this man’s tale, Xue An finally understood the whole story.

It turned out this performer was indeed from the supernatural entity tribe.

However, within the tribe, there were already several factions.

Where there are those inclined to good, there are also those inclined to evil, to the point where they are like water and fire.

Take this incident; this man should have been uninvolved, but someone secretly set a trap, almost costing him his life.

After listening, Xue An nodded, ”So that’s how it is. But why, as a supernatural entity, have you taken to the theater?”

”Well...,” the man hesitated.

Xue An waved it off, ”Never mind. If you don’t want to say, you don’t have to!”

With that, Xue An stood up and headed towards the exit.

At this moment, the man’s voice came from behind, ”Sir, is the lady accompanying you from the Ren Family?”

Xue An turned back, ”That’s right! Why, do you know her?”

”I wouldn’t say know, just heard of her! But I’d like to warn you, unless there’s a special situation, you should keep a certain distance from the Ren Family heiress, or the consequences could be unimaginable.”

Xue An chuckled silently, but said nothing, only nodding before leaving with long strides.

The man watched Xue An’s back, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

There was no need for the attendant to lead the way back; Xue An left backstage and came to the front.

By now, the theater had become empty, with only Ren Ning sitting dazedly in a chair.

Beside her was a man, chattering incessantly.

The more he talked, the more Ren Ning shrunk into herself.

Only upon seeing Xue An did Ren Ning show relief, standing up to greet him.

”Let’s go quickly!” Ren Ning whispered.

Xue An remained indifferent, ”What’s the matter?”

”Nothing, just ran into a weird guy, let’s not mind him, let’s just go!”

Ren Ning made to leave.

At this point, the man beside her also stood up, eyeing Xue An with interest.

Xue An gave the man a long look, said nothing, then turned and led Ren Ning away.

As they left, the man from backstage stepped into view.

”Well?”

”His abilities aren’t very high, but the aura he exudes is deep and unfathomable, quite interesting!” the newly appeared man murmured.

”I wasn’t asking about that, I was asking if the task is done!”

”Rest assured, I’ve already made all the arrangements,
