Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 2612: Chapter 2613: Unlocking New Identities

”Artificial intelligence actually betrayed its master? That just doesn’t sound believable to me.” Huyue said.

Zhang Tianyou let out a sigh. ”To be honest, at the beginning I didn’t believe it either, but the fact is exactly that. She really did betray me, and because of that, she became the Federal Credential Bureau’s chief back-end steward, in charge of practically all government affairs now.”

Xue An suddenly thought of those people he had seen after returning to the Multiverse, and the control chips implanted in their brains, and couldn’t help asking, ”Those control chips are also under her control?”

Zhang Tianyou nodded. ”Yeah. Those control chips were actually invented and implemented by her.”

”Then what was with that personal secretary of yours just now?” Huyue asked.

Zhang Tianyou gave a wry smile, then clapped his hands lightly.

A door in the lab swung open, and a young girl with a graceful figure walked out from within.

”President!”

It was the same voice that had come from the drone earlier.

Zhang Tianyou said, ”This is my personal secretary!”

Huyue widened her eyes. ”This is... a real person?”

”That’s right, she really is a human, not some kind of mechanical intelligence.”

”In fact, after going through that betrayal, I no longer trust any artificial intelligence, especially since that Star Ring that betrayed me has gone through several iterations and gained absolute control over the network. That’s made me distrust anything that can go online.”

At this point, Zhang Tianyou let out a faint sigh. ”Compared to that, real people are still more reliable. At least it’s hard for them to be controlled by machines.”

”Then what about those Mechanical Soldiers we saw along the way, harvesting planetary resources?” Xue An asked.

”That too is an operation led by Star Ring, mainly to collect resources for the Federal Credential Bureau.” Zhang Tianyou wasn’t surprised that Xue An would ask this, and answered calmly.

”So in that case, this Star Ring has already become the lackey of this so-called Federal Credential Bureau?”

”Yes.”

”If that’s so, then why not destroy it?”

”Destroy it?” Zhang Tianyou shook his head with a soft sigh.

”If only it were that easy! You have to understand, after that great upheaval, this Star Ring suddenly gained the ability to evolve on its own.”

”After several rounds of iterative upgrades, the current her has already become the pinnacle of artificial intelligence, a true god of the network. Unless you have the ability to shut down the entire Multiverse’s network all at once, she can resurrect herself endlessly!”

Huyue was stunned. ”So if you put it that way, isn’t this thing truly immortal?”

”You could say that. At least, with conventional methods it’s impossible to wipe her out. Otherwise, do you think I’d willingly be trapped on this tiny little Mars?”

Zhang Tianyou’s face was filled with boundless desolation. Seeing this, the little secretary obediently walked behind him and gently started kneading his shoulders.

Everyone fell into silence.

”Then... then what do we do next?” Si Qingqing, who hadn’t spoken all this time, asked hesitantly.

Zhang Tianyou said in a deep voice, ”I know your next step is definitely to head for Earth. But in your current condition, you don’t even need to set foot on Earth—just flying past the Moon will be enough for Star Ring to detect you. Once that happens, all your plans and ideas become nothing but nonsense.”

”Damn it, this won’t work and that won’t work. Why don’t we just charge in and kill our way through? I don’t believe a mere artificial intelligence can really do anything to us!” Huyue suddenly flared up.

After all, things had remained murky up to now, with no sign of a solution in sight. More importantly, her own younger sister had gone missing in this upheaval, which only made Huyue more restless and irritable.

”Don’t be in such a rush. Although this Star Ring is indeed a handful, I can help you forge a few legal identities as cover!”

”You can pull that off?”

”Heh, you really underestimate me. Even though I’m trapped here on Mars, Star Ring was created by my own hands, so I know some of its back doors. As long as I can break into the Federal Credential Bureau’s back-end, forging a few identities is child’s play, isn’t it?”

As he said this, Zhang Tianyou raised his hand and tapped the air in front of him. Points of light shimmered in the void, and a light screen appeared.

Then his fingers flew as he operated at high speed across the screen.

A moment later, the screen vanished, and several small cards fell into Zhang Tianyou’s hand.

”Here, these are your new identities. The information inside is all real and valid; it can pass any level of inspection.”

Everyone took a card in turn, and sure enough, they found that each small card contained a full record of their personal information.

Huyue, however, was a bit dissatisfied. ”Hey, why is my photo so ugly? And don’t I already have a real identity? Do I still need a fake one?”

”Of course you do. Given your status as a standout of the younger generation of the Qingqiu Fox Clan from Hongyu Shanzhuang, you’re definitely already on Star Ring’s watch list—especially since you disappeared for a period of time, which makes you even more suspicious. So once you show up again, it will definitely trigger an all-around investigation and surveillance.”

”Alright, alright, since that’s the case, I’ll reluctantly carry it.”

This trip to Mars hadn’t yielded the massive gains they had imagined, but at least they had figured out the origin of that video and also secured Zhang Tianyou’s support.

Although he was trapped on Mars by the artificial intelligence he himself had created, his formidable technological prowess still made him a rare and powerful ally.

Take this forged identity operation for example—without his warning and assistance, Xue An and his group might have exposed their target very quickly.

If that happened, all their previous efforts would have gone to waste.

Just as everyone finished their preparations and was about to set off for Earth—

Zhang Tianyou gave a final reminder. ”Mr. Xue, there’s one more thing I need to warn you about. That Grace who attacked Fei Bai earlier might only have been a peripheral member of the Carter Family, but it’s hard to say whether she handed over the information about that video.” ”And if she did submit it, then her sudden death this time is very likely to attract the Carter Family’s attention.”

Xue An said coolly, ”I know. In fact, the reason I left her corpse in the end was precisely to force this Carter Family to make a move.”

Zhang Tianyou nodded at this. ”Looks like you’ve already made your preparations. That’s good. But I still have to remind you: this Carter Family is far from a simple, ordinary noble clan. At the very least, within the Federal Credential Bureau, they’re an elder family whose word carries absolute weight!”

”Their eyes and ears are spread all over Earth, so you must be extremely careful!”

”Understood.” Xue An nodded, then left Mars straight away.
