Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 2008: Chapter 2009: Bodhi, the Master (Second Update)

With Xue An’s words, a golden light appeared at the center of the high platform, revealing a Buddha sitting on a lotus platform, his face vague and unclear, yet exuding an aura vast as the ocean.

It is none other than the Esoteric Sect’s original teacher, Bodhi!

The one who established the fundamental deities of the Womb Realm and the Vajra Realm.

Although his face was indistinct, he had been gazing at Xue An with a gentle look, sighing after a long while, ”Sure enough, you have his aura, so he really has fallen, hasn’t he?”

Xue An remained silent for a moment, then nodded, ”Yes!”

He knew who this master Bodhi was referring to.

In fact, the World Honored One who founded the Pure Land Buddhist Country was initially a disciple of the Esoteric Sect but left after developing his own insights.

This means that in a certain sense, the World Honored One was also a disciple of this master Bodhi before him.

”Alas, what an infatuated child!” Master Bodhi sighed and then fell silent.

Xue An didn’t speak either and quietly waited.

Until after a long while, this master Bodhi finally raised his head and slowly said, ”Although he sacrificed himself to seal that bronze door, it won’t last long, will it?”

Xue An trembled slightly, ”You know all this?”

Master Bodhi chuckled softly, then slowly opened his palm, revealing a glowing orb as brilliant as a mirror.

The orb rotated slowly, with countless qi mechanisms subtly deducing creation and destruction on its surface.

”Though I am here in this Altar City, the affairs of The Multiverse rarely escape my notice!”

With that, Master Bodhi lifted his head, the mist swirling around him suddenly dissipating, revealing a face half stern and half benevolent.

”Didn’t you just ask me why I invited you here? Now I will tell you, Maitreya has already told me everything, so now I wish to hear what you intend to do!”

With these words, Master Bodhi’s eyes shot out brilliant light, fixing on Xue An.

Xue An met Master Bodhi’s gaze unflinchingly, speaking in a calm yet resolutely firm tone, ”Naturally, it is to annihilate any enemy daring to invade and protect The Multiverse!”

”Protect The Multiverse?” Master Bodhi suddenly chuckled, ”Do you know what kind of existence you will face?”

Xue An nodded, ”Of course I do!”

”And you still have such confidence?” Master Bodhi asked curiously.

”What their existence is, does it conflict with my duty to protect The Multiverse?” Xue An retorted.

Master Bodhi was slightly taken aback, then began to laugh heartily, ”That answer truly bears the style of you, Red Lotus Immortal Venerable! But have you thought that, if I agree, the entire Esoteric Sect will be involved in this catastrophe, and how many could survive is even uncertain!”

”I have thought about it!” Xue An nodded, ”So I now want to ask you, are you joining or not?”

Master Bodhi gazed at Xue An, suddenly asking, ”Have you perceived something already?”

”About what? Like the fact that you have dissipated, and it is merely a fragment of your will talking to me?” Xue An said aloofly.

Upon hearing this, Master Bodhi shook intensely, then smiled wryly, ”Indeed, nothing can be hidden from you, but you’re not entirely correct either. I have not dissipated, only merged with the entire Altar City and the Womb and Vajra realms.”

Xue An listened quietly because he knew this master Bodhi surely had more to say.

Indeed.

Master Bodhi smiled wryly, ”The reason I did so is that my true form has been destroyed, and the instigator also hailed from those evil entities outside The Multiverse!”

At this point, even Xue An couldn’t help but be shocked.

For this master Bodhi was one of the mighty from ancient times. Although his reputation was not high due to the unique nature of Buddhist cultivation, his strength was not to be underestimated, even closely approaching the Half-step Immortal Venerable Realm.

Yet with such power, his true form was crushed, forcing him to connect his consciousness with the world, how could this not cause him to tremble.

As if sensing Xue An’s shock, Master Bodhi sighed lightly, ”I know you must desperately want to know who the opponent was and what strength they possessed, but I can’t tell you!”

”Why not?”

”Because... the experience back then has been erased from my memory by some force!”

This time, Xue An’s eyebrows rose sharply.

”Erase your memory?”

”Yes! Unbelievable, right? I didn’t want to believe it either, but that’s just how it happened! So....”

Master Bodhi’s eyes shone brightly at Xue An, ”Now tell me, if we face such an existence, do you still have confidence in fulfilling your earlier promise?”

Anticipating indecision from Xue An, surprisingly, he nodded without the slightest hesitation.

”I still say, no matter what the existence, I do not fear!”

”Very well! Then now I will answer your earlier question, we the Esoteric Sect will take on this great catastrophe!”

”Thank you!”

”Don’t thank me. In fact, even if you didn’t persuade me, I wouldn’t stand idly by, for I still understand that where the nest overturns, no egg is left intact! Besides....”

”I need to seek justice for that incident of years past!”

Saying this, Master Bodhi suddenly smiled, ”He thought he could be at ease by erasing my memory, but he didn’t realize that through years of meditation, I managed to glimpse a sliver of a scene.”

As he spoke, a light curtain slowly unfolded between Master Bodhi and Xue An, revealing a blurry scene.

In a chaotic world, a gigantic finger was pressing downward.

Beyond this, there was nothing else.

Gazing at this scene, light flickered in Xue An’s eyes, deep in thought.

Master Bodhi said softly, ”This is the shadow that remains in my Alaya consciousness, the one who erased my memory was formidable, but he forgot that Alaya consciousness can remember certain shadows!”

Outside the high platform, many monks in the Altar City began to stir slightly.

Because a lot of time had passed since Xue An entered the high platform.

No one knew what was happening inside.

Maitreya looked on with a worried expression.

”Senior brother, are you worried about this Red Lotus Immortal Venerable?” Guan Zizai appeared behind him, asking softly.

Maitreya took a deep breath, nodding.

”I’m really puzzled, just what did he do to you, to make someone as proud and lofty as you so devoted to him?”

Maitreya glanced at Guan Zizai beside him and chuckled, ”Why? Feeling indignant because he defeated you?”

”Of course not, just curious!” Guan Zizai replied softly.

Maitreya looked once more at the high platform and said calmly, ”If I say, he shattered my obsession, would you believe it?”
