Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 1946: Chapter 1942: Merit of a Hundred Lifetimes, Crown Initiation and Reforging (Second Update)

”Well done, well done, for the Red Lotus Immortal Venerable to have stepped into the realm of a child prodigy and be able to demonstrate the Vajra Lion’s Roar, suppressing demons, it is truly a supreme merit,” the Buddha joyfully praised.

Xue An did not respond to these words but instead gazed at the bronze door behind the Buddha, slowly saying, ”World-Honored One, you guard in this boundless loneliness, is it for this bronze door?”

The Buddha gave a slight smile, ”That’s right!”

”Then what is behind this bronze door?” Xue An raised an eyebrow slightly, asking in a serious tone.

”An existence that cannot be spoken of, cannot be conceived, cannot be deliberated!”

Xue An’s eyes flickered, ”Is it the place from which those demons originate?”

The Buddha smiled and suddenly said, ”Red Lotus Immortal Venerable, do you know why I am waiting for you here?”

Xue An was silent for a moment, then shook his head, ”I do not know!”

”Are you here for vengeance against the Hua Clan from back then?”

The light in Xue An’s eyes instantly condensed to the size of a pinpoint, ”That’s right!”

”Well done.” The Buddha clasped his hands together, ”Come over here, I have something to tell you.”

Xue An did not hesitate, stepping forward.

A lotus petal appeared from thin air, then descended onto Xue An’s head.

In an instant, Xue An trembled all over, then a look of deep thought appeared on his face.

After a long while, he slowly raised his head, his eyes full of coldness.

”Since you knew all this beforehand, why didn’t you tell me when I was an Immortal Venerable in my past life?”

The Buddha smiled faintly, ”Very simple, the timing wasn’t right, even if I had told you, it would have been of no help.”

”Then has the timing come now?”

The Buddha shook his head, ”It’s not timing, but calamity!”

”Calamity?”

”That’s right!” The Buddha nodded, ”Not just you, but even the entire multiverse will face an enormous catastrophe.”

Xue An was silent, as he had to digest the Buddha’s words.

Not until a while later did Xue An speak with a bitter voice, ”So you knew all along?”

”More or less! At least, a long time ago, I already saw all of this future.”

”Then why didn’t you try to change it?”

”Change?” The Buddha smiled, ”From the moment the Hua Clan met their calamity, everything was already destined, no room for the slightest change, even I am powerless!”

”Powerless?” Xue An suddenly chuckled softly, ”Since you’re powerless to change any of this, why guard the bronze door? Even indifferent to your own Buddha Kingdom being tainted?”

The Buddha gave a helpless, bitter smile.

”Red Lotus Immortal Venerable, indeed your mind is keen and articulate. Yes! Even I can’t remain completely unattached, though I know it is of no help, I still want to do something, even if it’s just to delay everything for a while longer. After all... this way I can at least save countless beings.”

Xue An fell silent.

Because he suddenly found himself unable to refute these words.

At this moment, the Buddha looked up at the bronze door, calmly saying, ”Red Lotus Immortal Venerable, you know I have never despaired, because I can see that all this calamity will end in your hands.”

”Upon you lies the fate of the entire multiverse, or rather... hope!”

”And what about you?” Xue An suddenly asked.

”Me?” The Buddha gave a bitter smile, ”I have little time left, several hundred years of guarding has left me at the point of exhaustion, which is why the demonic aura has been leaking for nearly a hundred years, plaguing all beings.”

Xue An’s whole body trembled, looking at the Buddha in disbelief.

At this point, the Buddha slowly undid the garment around his chest and belly.

At once, an incredibly hideous and terrifying scar appeared before them.

It seemed as though the Buddha’s chest and abdomen were pierced through by some great divine power, creating a large hole, with black aura swirling within, and the faint sight of internal organs, and one could see the void behind from the front.

The hole was still throbbing slightly, like a heart.

”This...” Xue An was shocked beyond words for the first time.

Yet the Buddha nonchalantly smiled, ”Five hundred years ago, when this door first opened, I descended here to guard, and battled fiercely with the fiends attacking from within. I won in the end, but the cost was leaving this scar!”

Xue An suddenly fell silent, because he truly did not know what to say.

He possessed unrivaled power, capable of suppressing all the mighty of the multiverse, even capable of condensing the Vajra Lion’s Roar of the Buddha’s cultivation.

But at this moment, he felt a true sense of powerlessness.

Because he could sense, with the throbbing of this wound, that the Buddha’s vitality was slowly diminishing.

What a cruel punishment this was!

Alone in darkness, silently enduring intense pain, feeling vitality slip away.

And it had been five hundred years at that.

Such torment, even a slightly weaker mind would completely collapse.

Yet the Buddha had been quietly waiting for this moment, until Xue An’s arrival.

”Don’t be sad, it’s all worth it, after all I waited for you, the only hope in this deadlock of the multiverse.” The Buddha smiled happily.

”What do you need me to do?” Xue An said, disheartened.

The Buddha shook his head, ”Nothing is needed, after I die, I will seal this bronze door with the merit accumulated from my hundred lifetimes of cultivation, but no more than a decade, the dark power behind the bronze door will return, so you only have ten years to prepare.”

”Ten years? That’s enough!” Xue An’s eyes sparkled with brilliant light, his face brimming with intense killing intent,

”I believe in your strength, but before I depart, I would still like to lend you a helping hand.”

As he finished speaking, the Buddha clasped his hands, lowered his head, and chanted, ”Void of the universe, able to contain all forms and colors, sun, moon, stars, mountains, rivers, earth, springs, streams, vegetation, forests, evil and good people, evil and good dharma, heaven and hell, all vast seas and Sumeru mountains, all within the void; human nature is empty, as such.”

Then the Buddha raised his head joyfully and praised, ”Red Lotus Immortal Venerable, today I shall help you reforge your body and advance further.”

With that, the Buddha raised his palm, extending one finger.

Xue An trembled all over, then felt an overwhelming, unstoppable force crash down, beginning to pour madly into his body.

At the same time, in his consciousness sea came the Buddha’s voice.

”Your inner injuries have been compounding with constant battles, your Dao heart showing faint cracks, you must completely relax now, I will baptize you and refine again with my Divine Sense honed over a hundred lifetimes!”

Boom!

With these words, an ocean-like Divine Sense surged fiercely into Xue An’s consciousness sea, containing all the accumulated knowledge of the Buddha over thousands of years.

These things were, in fact, more precious than anything else.

Because this represented all the experiences of a top-tier giant.

Xue An fully activated his consciousness sea, frantically absorbing everything.

In an instant, the Divine Sense infusion was complete.

If Xue An’s Divine Sense weren’t vast as the sea, it would have burst from such a massive influx of information.

When everything returned to silence, light flickered around Xue An, all previous internal injuries cleared away, replaced by an escalating power, faintly showing a sign of advancement.

Yet Xue An felt not a trace of joy, for he knew what this signified.

Indeed.

The moment the Buddha’s complexion turned pale, he smiled lightly upon meeting Xue An’s gaze, then calmly said, ”I have done all I can do, now everything is entrusted to you! May you forge ahead bravely, leading the multiverse out of this life-and-death calamity.”

Having said that.

Cracks began to appear on the Buddha’s body, in an instant shattering into radiant glows, flying toward the bronze door.

These were the supreme merits accumulated over the Buddha’s hundred lifetimes.

Boom!

Each arriving glow caused the bronze door to tremble.

In the end, brilliant light appeared on the bronze door, sealing it completely.

When everything returned to silence, the space before him was empty and vast, the Buddha had already vanished completely.

Tears glinted in Xue An’s eyes, finally he gathered his gaze, clasped his hands, and bowed deeply.

”May the World-Honored One depart, free and unbound in the universe!”
