After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1773: Chapter 477: Mu’s Injury, Gua’s Joy, Equivalent Exchange

Guardiola handed Huang Kaiwen a towel and a water bottle, letting him take a break.

The team’s performance today was so good, he was a bit uneasy.

During halftime, he needed to ramp things up and make some promises to Jose.

Poor Jose, working hard to protect Kevin’s safety, bringing benefits to the entire Milan team. It was quite a bargain.

Rome was dumbfounded by five goals.

There wasn’t much performance in the second half.

In the end, Milan won 6-0 on the road.

”Come on, let’s thank the fans!”

Huang Kaiwen got up and walked into the field.

He waved his arms, signaling his teammates to join him.

The Milan players formed a horizontal line, each putting a hand on the shoulder of the teammate beside him.

After a countdown from three to one, the whole team rushed towards the away fans’ stand and slid in celebration.

”Milan, Milan!”

The away fans’ stand erupted in cheers.

The Stadio Olimpico Rome turned into a sea of joy.

Undefeated in the first half of the season, a perfect end with 6 goals, securing the first half championship before Christmas.

The team’s performance gave the fans reason to expect more.

At the post-match conference, Guardiola confidently said: ”This has been a successful half-season. Milan is a highly moldable team. We’ve overcome difficult times, which is important to us. Next, the players will enjoy their holiday, and I will too. After the winter break, we’ll continue working towards our goals.”

...

The next day.

After getting up, Guardiola went to the door to get the newspaper first thing.

The ”Milan Sports Newspaper” reported on Inzaghi.

Seeing the cover photo, Guardiola couldn’t help but shake his head.

He couldn’t understand why Milan, with such a strong lineup, would give Inzaghi a long-term contract.

The ”Corriere dello Sport” wrote: ”In the post-match locker room, some disputes arose. Totti wasn’t very satisfied with the tactics for this game. He believed the team’s large-margin loss was related to Ranieri. Their relationship is getting worse, which is very concerning.”

Totti’s personality is indeed a bit difficult to deal with.

In comparison, Huang Kaiwen’s personality is much better.

Guardiola felt fortunate to have accepted this job.

The Milan locker room was much simpler than Barca’s, allowing him to focus on figuring out how to improve.

Guardiola flipped through some social news.

It seemed that the security in Italy wasn’t great either.

As he flipped to a corner, he found the news he was looking for.

Mourinho was accidentally tackled by an opposing player while coaching from the sidelines yesterday!

Guardiola confidently read through the entire article.

He finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Since Jose paid the price and completed an equivalent exchange, Kevin shouldn’t get injured, right?

”Is there any good news, dear?”

Serra brought out breakfast and asked.

She could tell that Guardiola was in a great mood.

”Nothing much, we won yesterday.”

Guardiola said.

He couldn’t exactly say that he was happy because he heard Mourinho got hurt.

”I have a feeling your mood won’t stay good for long.”

Serra said.

”What’s up?”

Guardiola took a sip of coffee and asked puzzledly.

”While I was cooking, I saw Ramos hanging around outside for quite a while. He probably doesn’t know if you’re up yet.”

Serra laughed and said, ”I didn’t expect him to be so polite, completely different from on the field.”

”You can’t judge a book by its cover.”

Guardiola said, getting up to get his phone.

Ramos must have something to discuss by coming here, and since the weather in Milan was quite cold, he hurriedly invited him in.

In about three minutes, Ramos was at the door with gifts.

Guardiola teased: ”You even brought specialties from Catalonia. Are you trying to be a winger by coming with gifts?”

”I just wanted to visit.”

Ramos said a bit awkwardly.

”Have a seat.”

Serra warmly said: ”The kids aren’t up yet, I’ll go check on them, you guys chat first.”

”Aren’t you going back to Spain for the holidays?”

Guardiola asked.

Although curious why Ramos was visiting, he still patiently made small talk.

”No, I spend Christmas with Kevin every year.”

Ramos said with a big smile.

”Sounds nice. Are you and Kevin very close?”

Guardiola asked.

”Of course, I’m Kevin’s best friend!”

Ramos said proudly.

”I believe it. So, is your visit today related to Kevin?”

Guardiola asked tentatively.

”More or less.”

Ramos nodded and said.

”Did Kevin ask you to say something he couldn’t say in person?”

Guardiola asked.

At this moment, Marius ran out excitedly and said, ”Wow, Sergio! I’m so happy to see you!”

”Hello, do you also play as a full-back?”

Ramos asked with a smile.

”I play as a winger, but sometimes I defend. I think we’re quite similar!”

Marius said excitedly, ”I often watch your games to learn, but of course, my main source of study is Kevin.”

”You have good taste!”

Ramos said.

”Get away, don’t bother him, he’s talking business with dad.”

Maria came over and tugged Marius by the ear.

The girl even wore makeup at home.

”I’m talking business too!”

Marius retorted defiantly.

”Disappear now!”

Maria said angrily.

Seeing his sister’s expression, Marius ran back to his room.

Once her brother left, Maria quickly said to Ramos, ”I’m usually not like this, but he’s very disobedient.”

”I understand, I also have an older sister.”

Ramos said with a gentle smile.

He also had a good relationship with his sister.

”Then can you help me give this to Kevin?”

Maria jogged back inside, took out a gift box, and handed it to Ramos.

Ramos turned his head towards Guardiola.

Guardiola shrugged and said, ”She’s still young, just an idol worship, and I prefer not to meddle.”

Only then did Ramos accept and place it on the coffee table.

Unexpectedly, Guardiola was quite open-minded with his children.

Maria said shyly, ”Dad, you lost a bet with me before, you said you’d listen to me!”

”Okay okay, my bad!”

Guardiola raised his hands and said, pretending to plead for mercy.

”Do you like gambling, coach?” Ramos asked.

”Of course not, I prefer things I can control.”

Guardiola said.

He didn’t like leaving everything to luck.

”Yes, I’m the same way.”

Ramos nodded.

”So can you tell me why you came today?”

Guardiola asked.

”It’s like this,”

Ramos said, ”I heard Kevin promised to send an autographed jersey to a fan on a forum. Coincidentally, some of them are Barca fans, but you know Kevin doesn’t have a good relationship with Barca players, so he probably doesn’t want to bother Messi. As a result, he hasn’t been able to fulfill his promise. This is very serious for Kevin, you understand, right coach? Kevin is a very trustworthy person.”

”So you want me to help get Barca players to sign the jersey?”

Guardiola asked.

He was finally relieved.

Ramos came just for this little issue.

Then those gifts could be accepted with peace of mind.

”No, I think it’s fine if you sign it too, after all, you were Barca’s captain.”

Ramos said.

”That works too, then I’ll go with you to pick them up, you drove here, right?”

Guardiola said with a smile.

”Yes.”

Ramos nodded.

”Then I’ll go get them, you can just drive home.”

Guardiola said.

”No, coach, I’ll help you with it.”

Ramos quickly shook his head.

”It’s okay, you can just head home.” Guardiola persuaded.

”Alright then.”

Ramos nodded.

The two of them put on their coats and stood up.

Guardiola followed behind Ramos.

Ramos pressed the car key and quickly opened the trunk.

Ramos took a box of jerseys out of the trunk.

Guardiola’s smile froze on his face.

Looks like his wrists would suffer.

But Ramos pulled out another box.

This wasn’t over.

Watching the busy Ramos, Guardiola felt numb.

After the trunk was the back seat.

Once Ramos finished, there were already six large boxes on the ground.

Ramos opened the driver’s door, and waved as he turned back: ”Coach, since you don’t need my help, I’ll take off now.”

”Have a safe...”

Guardiola couldn’t finish his words.

Ramos’s Mercedes roared away, leaving only a trail of exhaust.

Guardiola stood there shocked, muttering, ”Why, why does this have to happen, Jose has already paid the price, why do I still have to go through this.”
