After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1312: Chapter 389: 100-Meter Sprinter Showdown

”Berliner Zeitung”:”All six groups in the men’s 100 meters World Championship have finished, and Kevin clocked 9.91 seconds to become the fastest athlete among all the preliminary groups. The highly anticipated Jamaican sprinter Bolt only ran 10.21 seconds, making him not particularly remarkable among all the competitors. They are both favorites in this championship. In the quarter-finals, Kevin’s performance wasn’t as good as in the preliminaries, but he successfully advanced to the semi-finals.”

”The Times”:”Barry Hearn is preparing to invite Kevin to participate in the World Darts Championship. Kevin doesn’t know how to play darts? That’s not a problem because Hearn believes that as long as Kevin competes, he can earn a lot more money. According to information provided by Hearn’s staff, it is said that Hearn even mentioned that as long as Kevin is willing to compete, he would organize a sand piling competition. Chelsea also secured a win on their first match day in Kevin’s absence, defeating Hull City 2:1.”

”Bild”:”Ribery refuses Real Madrid and will form the sharpest wings with Robben. In an interview, Robben stated that he faced many fouls in La Liga, which led him to consider changing environments. Playing in the UEFA Cup next season with Real Madrid is not the main reason.”

”Milan Sports Newspaper”:”Betting for this World Championship is hot, and we spotted Inzaghi’s figure. It is said he has placed a heavy bet on Kevin finishing first in the preliminary, and the money he earns this time is enough for him to retire early.”

”Tokyo Daily News”:”In the next round of matches, Masafumi Kojikato and Kevin are in the same group. Originally, it was thought that he would cause Kevin some trouble. Unexpectedly, he finished last in the group, which is simply a disgrace to Japan’s sports world!”

In the quarter-finals at four in the afternoon.

Huang Kaiwen was placed in the second group and, while holding back, still won first in his group with 10.02 seconds.

Previously, Pele and Bolt, who were in the same preliminary group, were placed in the fifth group together, advancing with times of 10.02 and 10.03, respectively.

The fastest in the quarter-finals was Powell, who ran 9.95 seconds, the best time among all athletes in this stage.

Back at the hotel in the evening.

After swimming, Huang Kaiwen used the ultra-low temperature cryotherapy chamber.

It is said to contain liquid nitrogen, but Huang Kaiwen wasn’t quite sure.

This equipment was procured by Chelsea.

The chief physician English, physiotherapist Thierry Laurent, and massage therapist Mauro Deimos specifically delivered it to the hotel, serving as Huang Kaiwen’s exclusive medical team during the competition.

For this, Kenyon even allocated travel expenses to ensure Huang Kaiwen’s state was maintained.

Even though Huang Kaiwen is temporarily away from football, he still has a contract with Chelsea.

When Huang Kaiwen wins the championship, it means a Chelsea player wins the championship.

”How are you feeling, Kevin?”

English asked while checking Huang Kaiwen’s body using a machine.

”Not bad, but it feels like I can’t reach my best form.”

Huang Kaiwen replied.

Running with [Pele] template, about 9.9 seconds seems to be the limit.

”That’s not your fault.”

English said with a smile:”Since you’re a football player, your muscular development differs from that of a sprinter. If you specifically train for a period, you should be able to achieve better results.”

”I’ll give it a try, not sure how I’ll do in the 800 meters.”

Huang Kaiwen said, shaking his head.

”Hmm, I feel you have more potential in the 800 meters.”

English said while looking through the data:”Based on your previous race data, I don’t think it’s a problem. Your speed in the sprint stage should be better than those 800-meter runners, provided you don’t fall too much behind during the earlier stages due to a drop in stamina.”

”Shouldn’t be an issue.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Intercepted [Park Ji-sung] at the end of last season.

The shortcoming in endurance has been addressed.

Adding to that the [Middle-distance Mastery] this month.

The Yellow Ball King should be considered a relatively excellent middle-distance runner, right?

”Schedule is also a problem. On the 20th, you need to run the 200 meters semi-final first, followed by the 800 meters preliminary four hours later. I believe in the 800 meters preliminary, you should focus more on adjusting your state rather than competing for placement.”

English commented.

”Okay, coach.”

Huang Kaiwen joked.

English said with a smile:”I’ve completed the Level 1 course, next is Level 2.”

”Congratulations on that, but do you have the time for deeper courses?”

Huang Kaiwen asked curiously.

The English FA courses are divided into five levels.

Generally, to coach a team, one must complete at least Level 4.

Some of these courses last for several hours, others for months.

The Level 1 course that English completed is easy to pass; it’s neither too profound nor requires attending a field — just note-taking and exams in a classroom would suffice.

”I will find time for the courses, as opportunities always go to those prepared, right?”

English said.

Huang Kaiwen gave him a thumbs-up.

Look at our Chelsea, even the team physician is so ambitious.

But considering Chelsea’s coach reserves, it’s not easy to stand in the technical area from here.

After some small talk regarding the team, Huang Kaiwen turned back to his room.

”You’re back, dear!”

Lily, who was lying on the bed watching TV, sprang up and hugged Huang Kaiwen.

”I have a match tomorrow.”

Huang Kaiwen said, patting her back.

Though his fitness level is good now, Yellow Ball King still needs to show some respect to his opponents.
