After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1239: Chapter 375: More Than Just a Club

It took almost 10 minutes for the family to calm down.

The middle-aged woman quickly went to the kitchen to prepare some refreshments and nervously said as she served them: ”It’s nothing special, I don’t know if it suits your taste.”

Huang Kaiwen picked up a cup and took a sip, saying: ”The coffee is nice!”

Ramos and Terry followed suit.

Even though they now have money, they all come from poor families and don’t have any reason not to drink inferior coffee.

The woman, wiping her tears, said: ”Thank you, thank you so much. I never thought a day like this would come. When I saw Nicholas at the hospital, he smiled at me, and I couldn’t help but adopt him. He’s a poor child, a five-month premature baby abandoned by his birth parents. His retinas couldn’t form due to prematurity. Before us, twelve couples came to see him, but all gave up on adopting Nicholas. I don’t know why, I just felt I should be his mom...”

Faced with the tearful woman, Huang Kaiwen said: ”You are a great mother, and that is Nicholas’s fortune.”

The woman continued: ”This child also has autism. We hoped he’d support Palmeiras, his sister hoped he’d support Sao Paulo. Perhaps it’s God’s will, because after I told him the story of the night in Istanbul, the child became your fan. Now, every week we watch Chelsea’s matches on TV. I’m not a professional commentator, but I will try my best to make him understand what is happening on the pitch...”

”It’s an honor to have fans like you, and I have been deeply touched by your story and that of your family. Hence, we came to invite you to London to watch a match. During your stay in London, all expenses will be covered by Chelsea, including your family’s wages while you’re away, so you don’t need to worry about anything else.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

Originally, Huang Kaiwen wanted to pay out of his own pocket.

But then he thought this was a chance for publicity, so Kenyon and Abramovich would surely be willing to sponsor it.

So the Yellow Ball King shouldn’t steal the spotlight.

The money he earns isn’t easy to come by, and he frequently donates to his homeland.

Saving a bit is always good.

”Thank you, thank you... I really don’t know how to express my gratitude.”

The middle-aged woman, Sylvia Greco, said emotionally.

”Don’t mention it, kind people will always find the world smiling upon them.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

The three of them stayed at the Greco’s home for a night, and then took private jet back to London the next day.

Before boarding the plane, Huang Kaiwen had already communicated with Kenyon.

After landing, the Greco family was taken over by Chelsea Club’s staff.

”Actually, you don’t need to rush back.”

Kenyon said ingratiatingly beside Huang Kaiwen: ”Just have a good rest and prepare for the final.”

”Even if I come back, I don’t plan to play at Emirates Stadium.”

Huang Kaiwen said: ”Does Chelsea have to rely on us to beat Arsenal?”

Primarily because Arsenal performed poorly this season.

Due to lack of funds, inevitably their performance crumbled in February.

By this time, Arsenal’s main players were also quite exhausted.

”Yes, yes, I will talk to Jose at that time. His suspension is over, and he’s recovered physically.”

Kenyon said nodding repeatedly.

”I’m planning to start.”

Terry said: ”This issue made me realize how lucky I am to become a professional player. I feel I’ve adjusted well.”

Kenyon looked at Huang Kaiwen.

Huang Kaiwen shrugged, indicating he wouldn’t interfere.

Kenyon said noddingly: ”I will communicate with Jose.”

The fatigued Huang Kaiwen went home to rest with Ramos, while Terry also headed home on his own.

A day later, the Greco family appeared at Emirates Stadium with the entire Chelsea team.

Though Huang Kaiwen and Ramos didn’t play, they sat in the stands.

Yet Chelsea still achieved a 4-1 victory against Wenger’s team, thanks to Alex, Malouda, Huntelaar, and Toure’s own goal.

After the match, the Greco family’s story also garnered widespread attention.

Kenyon specially held a press conference the day after the match, facing media from all over Europe, he proudly said: ”This is Chelsea’s collective will. Sylvia made a brave choice, giving the poor Nicholas a warm home. Since their family are Chelsea fans, we couldn’t ignore it once we found out. Although Nicholas can’t see this world, our entire team and all Chelsea fans will be his eyes. Chelsea focuses not only on results but also cares for those in need. Chelsea is more than just a club!”

Because the helped fan came from Brazil.

This incident also caused quite a stir in South America.

Pele, during an interview with the Sao Paulo Page Newspaper, said: ”I know this event was initiated by Kevin, that’s just how he is. He has a heart of gold; we all know this. But what I want to say is, in the upcoming pivotal match, Kevin shouldn’t just aim to win, he should also use his unparalleled skills to bring joy to the fans. We sit in front of the TV for two hours not just to see Kevin constantly organize offense from the backline, or stand in front of the goal making saves. Chelsea has injuries we understand, but others can do those tasks too. There’s no reason for the world’s best offensive player to be at the back.”

Mourinho was quite annoyed by this matter, countering when interviewed: ”I can manage my own team; others should just mind their own business.”
