After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Calderon, with a glowing smile, whispered to Huang Kaiwen, ”I think we should talk about your contract renewal.”

”You should talk to Barbara about that; I don’t really understand these things,” Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Miss Barbara had been helping him with his contract renewal discussions prior to this.

Now, it was clear that things hadn’t been progressing smoothly, which is why Calderon was now approaching him directly.

Of course, Huang Kaiwen couldn’t easily give in on such matters.

After a season had passed,

he had put in too much effort for the sake of the team’s stability and harmony.

From managing teammate relationships to their educations, and now even worrying about investment and finance,

he had participated in training and games much more frequently than during his time in Milan.

With so much effort and stress, a salary of 15 million Euros did indeed seem a bit low; he deserved a raise.

After collecting the medal from Platini, Huang Kaiwen quickly left the award ceremony stage.

There had already been rumors that UEFA was planning to reform the Champions League.

Platini was again ready to sacrifice the interests of the big clubs to gain support from smaller country leaders, which didn’t align with Huang Kaiwen’s interests, whether as a Real Madrid player or as a partial chairman of Milan.

The increase of weaker teams would also lower the excitement level of the Champions League.

From any perspective, Huang Kaiwen should maintain a distance from Platini.

As one Real Madrid player after another stepped down from the award ceremony stage, the atmosphere on-site started to rise.

The Real Madrid players posed in front of the arch for the 2006-2007 Champions League champions.

Ramos pulled Huang Kaiwen to the front row center.

Cassano quickly positioned himself on the other side of Huang Kaiwen.

Guti, Pepe, and De Jong consciously stood behind Huang Kaiwen.

Raul, standing in front of everyone, lifted the trophy as the crowd counted down.

”Let’s congratulate Real Madrid for winning the 2006-2007 European Champions League!”

”Huang Kaiwen, since he began his professional career, has been winning championships to the point of exhaustion; this is his seventh trophy in three years.”

”Hehe, right.”

”Huang Kaiwen has been on the Champions League award ceremony stage for three consecutive years. In the 2004-2005 season, he stood in front of the goal to help Milan win the penalty shootout; in the 2005-2006 season, he scored four goals with his head and feet, clinching Barcelona in the last second; today in Athens, the game was a bit less dramatic, huh.”

”Hehe, mainly because Casillas didn’t play, and since Real Madrid was leading throughout, Ramos’ departure didn’t have much impact. Huang Kaiwen was targeted by Manchester United today but still performed brilliantly, crucial in keeping Real Madrid in the lead.”

After taking a group photo with the Champions League Trophy and his teammates,

he was followed by two little followers.

Raul had said that children can discern who the bad people are, and Huang Kaiwen very much agreed.

Whether in Milan or in Real Madrid, teammates’ kids all really liked the Yellow Ball King.

This fully proved that he, Huang, was a good person.

A truly good person!

Even though he playfully dribbled the ball around using Raul’s son, Hojer and Ugo still laughed happily.

The Yellow Ball King also enjoyed himself.

Seeing Galbiati approaching,

Huang Kaiwen stood still and asked, ”Doping test?”

His right foot kept juggling the ball, teasing the two children.

”Yes, a doping test,”

Galbiati quickly explained, worried that Huang Kaiwen might be upset, ”It’s just routine.”

”I know,”

Huang Kaiwen nodded and waved to Cassano.

”Did you call me, Kevin?”

”Yeah, here’s the ball, you play with them!”

Huang Kaiwen said, nodding as he kicked the ball to Cassano.

”Since you asked me, alright then!”

Cassano said reluctantly.

But his body betrayed him.

The guy put all his skills on display, juggling and running around with Raul’s children more vigorously than he had in the Champions League final.

Raul, watching his two stumbling sons, felt it was fine to sacrifice them if it would keep Cassano occupied for a while.

...

The doping test went smoothly this time.

Mainly because Huang Kaiwen was clean.

Huang Kaiwen arrived at the press conference room at the same time as Ferguson rushed over.

Because of the loss, Ferguson hadn’t brought the players to the post-match press conference.

Ferguson was clearly more popular among reporters than Capello or perhaps had more newsworthy content.

The reporters preferred to ask questions to Ferguson.

”Sir Ferguson, could you evaluate Kevin?”

”Kevin, why did you kick the penalty away today?”

”Ferdinand was subjected to a retaliatory foul by Ramos, Sir Ferguson, do you have anything to say about that?”

”Alex, were the Manchester United players sliding into Kevin under your instructions?”

”Fabio, why did you abandon your beliefs today?”

Ferguson glared and said, ”If we didn’t slide in, tell me how we should have stopped Kevin? Yes, I told them to do it; it was for defense, with no intention of injuring Kevin. Defending against a player like Kevin, even sliding tackles might not work, but not tackling would have been even harder. If you have any better ideas, let me know!”

Capello, upon hearing this,

regretted not having played Beckham.

There were friendships, but you let the players tackle Kevin. What kind of friendship is that?

”So, could you talk about Ramos’s foul?”

”I have nothing to say about it; Leo didn’t intentionally go for Kevin’s feet. Kevin is just too fast, and he couldn’t control himself. Leo has already explained it to me. As for that young man Ramos, I don’t want to comment on him. He’s a good player, a promising young man, but he should work on his temper,” Ferguson said with a stern expression.

These reporters always wanted to find news on him.

Ferguson didn’t care what the reporters said, but such reports could distract the team.
