Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 2370: Chapter 2369: Mental Power Level 30

The divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God was locked by the Soul-lock Chains, and he began to struggle violently.

However, no matter how he struggled, he could not break free from the binding of the Soul-lock Chains.

Facing a Mental Power Monk, and one as powerful as Lin Dong, his divine soul was truly powerless.

At this moment, like a trapped beast, he roared at Lin Dong:

”Dragon Country Kid, I would rather die than become your puppet like the God Susanoo and be controlled by you!”

He thought Lin Dong had locked him with the Soul-lock Chains to refine him, like God Susanoo, into a Divine Soul Puppet for his use.

However, Lin Dong had no such intention for him at all.

One reason was that his spiritual power had not yet reached the thirtieth stage, so he could not use the ’God Driving and Ghost Commanding Technique’ to control two powerful divine souls simultaneously.

Another reason was that Lin Dong had planned from the beginning to devour it as nourishment for his spiritual power growth.

So at this moment, upon hearing the Jianyu Thunder God’s words, he laughed and said: ”Since you have such backbone, then I will satisfy you.”

The divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God was taken aback, apparently not reacting immediately.

He initially thought that Lin Dong was planning to use other means to turn him into a Divine Soul Puppet.

He never imagined that Lin Dong would actually want to fulfill his words.

At this moment, Lin Dong was also too lazy to waste any more words with him and directly pulled the divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God, bound by the Soul-lock Chains, to himself.

Then, opening his mouth, he directly swallowed it into his belly.

Devouring a divine soul is different from devouring a martial artist.

The Devouring Technique, when devouring a martial artist, only devours the inner qi, blood essence qi, and soul.

So the method of devouring is not to swallow the martial artist whole but to press his head with a hand instead.

However, devouring a divine soul is different.

It requires directly swallowing it!

After Lin Dong swallowed the divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God, he immediately operated the Devouring Technique.

Initially, the divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God wanted to escape and struggle. But under the effect of the Devouring Technique, his consciousness gradually faded away.

”Dragon Country Kid, you will die a horrible death! You dare to use a mythical level existence like me as nourishment for your spiritual power growth... Ah...”

With one final scream, his consciousness was completely stripped away by Lin Dong, and the divine soul body disintegrated, turning into countless divine soul energies that surged into Lin Dong’s Sea of Consciousness.

In Lin Dong’s Sea of Consciousness, the current situation was an infinite ocean of spiritual power.

As the divine soul power of the Jianyu Thunder God surged into this ocean of spiritual power, Lin Dong’s spiritual power increased rapidly.

From the previous twenty-eighth stage, it quickly broke through to the twenty-ninth stage!

”Indeed, worthy of being ranked in the top four of Yinghua Country’s martial arts history. Even after thousands of years, the divine soul power is still so abundant.”

Lin Dong was extremely delighted, as he had not even absorbed a quarter of the divine soul power of the Jianyu Thunder God, yet his spiritual power had already broken through by one stage.

Recalling previously devouring the divine souls of Susanaka and Susa Qing, which collectively increased by merely two and a half stages, could not compare with the divine soul of the Jianyu Thunder God now.

At this moment, Lin Dong continued to absorb the divine soul power.

The spiritual power continued to grow.

Soon, it grew from the early stage of the twentieth to the peak of the twenty-ninth stage!

And now, there was still half of the divine soul power left!

Lin Dong planned to use the remaining half of the divine soul power of the Jianyu Thunder God to breakthrough to the thirtieth stage of spiritual power.

The thirtieth stage of spiritual power was a major upgrade.

Directly from ’Spiritual Power Formation’, it transitioned to ’Spiritual Manipulating’.

That was a qualitative change!

Lin Dong continued to urge the Devouring Technique, directing all the divine soul power into the Sea of Consciousness.

A bottleneck would appear at the peak of the ninth stage, nineteenth stage, and twenty-ninth stage of spiritual power.

Only by breaking through that bottleneck could one reach the next level.

Lin Dong mobilized all of the divine soul power to break through that bottleneck.

It was as if Heaven and Earth were restraints on him.

Only by breaking through could one reach the next world!

”Boom!!!”

Lin Dong mobilized all the ”divine soul power”, as if attacking a city, to break through that bottleneck.

Under the influence of the divine soul power, he finally broke through that bottleneck and stepped into a new realm in the spiritual power domain!

Within the Sea of Consciousness, in that ocean of spiritual power, a Black Lotus of mental power bloomed.

That Black Lotus of spiritual power, like the spring of a fountain, would continuously generate spiritual power.

As long as Lin Dong focused his thoughts, he could mobilize that spiritual power.

”Hoo~~~”

After stepping into the thirtieth stage of spiritual power, he was able to use spiritual power much more quickly than before.

Previously, when using spiritual power, he had to mobilize the spiritual power in the ocean of spiritual power. Such mobilization allowed only a limited amount of spiritual power at once.

Now, he used spiritual power through that Black Lotus in the Sea of Consciousness, and with a mere thought, he could mobilize boundless spiritual power.

The difference between the two was like when you fetch water.

Before, whenever Lin Dong fetched water, he could only scoop it from the sea with his hand.

Now, the Black Lotus was like a faucet; every time he fetched water, he just needed to focus his thoughts and let the Black Lotus release water.

The speed and amount of water obtained were much greater than before.

”Sword of Spiritual Power!” With a single thought, Lin Dong unleashed a sword of spiritual power.

This sword of spiritual power stretched a thousand meters! With one swing, it directly severed the ’Pictorial World’.

At this moment, he reappeared in the palace of the Thunder God Shrine.

”The power of this Sword of Spiritual Power is much stronger than before!”

Even Lin Dong was startled by that swing just now.

He had merely focused his thoughts casually, condensing a Sword of Spiritual Power, not expecting to condense one a thousand meters long!

And it was unleashed instantly!

The power and speed were dramatically different from before.

”This Sword of Spiritual Power can cut off the mind of a Second Heavenly Realm Martial Artist in a single swing, turning them into idiots!” Lin Dong said to himself.

And this was just the first change after reaching the thirtieth stage of spiritual power.

After reaching the thirtieth stage of spiritual power, the most important change was something else.

From the twentieth to the thirtieth stage, it is the second level of spiritual power. This stage is called the Spiritual Power Formation stage.

Spiritual power can transform into weapons like swords for attacks, and also into shields for defense.

Upon reaching the thirtieth to fortieth stage, it is the third level of spiritual power.

This level is the Spiritual Power Control stage!

Besides the previous transformation methods, spiritual power gains another ability. It can control others’ thoughts.

Using spiritual power techniques, one can train others into their spiritual puppets!

Now, Lin Dong can separate a strand of spiritual power and implant it into the head of a Seventh Stage Grandmaster Warrior. Through that strand of spiritual power, they can be turned into his spiritual puppet!

The reason it is a Seventh Stage Grandmaster Warrior is that Lin Dong’s spiritual power is currently only at the thirtieth stage.

If his spiritual power continues to grow, perhaps reaching the thirty-first, thirty-second stage... or even the thirty-ninth stage, the strength of the warriors he can control with spiritual power will also become stronger.
