Chapter 2001: Chapter 2000: Cultivating Mental Power

Lin Dong took out the sheepskin scroll and began to comprehend the cultivation method of ’Mind Power Control’.

It was from this scroll that Lin Dongfang understood how difficult cultivating spiritual power truly is.

To cultivate spiritual power, the first step, which is also the most difficult, requires you to possess a Spiritual Power Gift.

Only those with a Spiritual Power Gift can open and develop a Qi Sea, thus truly cultivating mental power.

The so-called Qi Sea is a space within the mind, as profound as the Dantian.

However, it fundamentally differs from the Dantian.

The Dantian is the place to cultivate martial arts, where inner qi is refined. Only by becoming a martial artist can one see their own Dantian through inner view.

Only those who possess a Dantian can be called martial artists.

Similarly, only those who develop a Qi Sea can cultivate mental power.

The Qi Sea is the storage space for spiritual power. Only those with a Spiritual Power Gift can develop a Qi Sea.

Why is it that General Ying obtained this cultivation method for Mind Power Control but is unable to cultivate spiritual power?

Because he lacks the Spiritual Power Gift!

Possessing a Spiritual Power Gift is even harder than having a martial arts talent.

Though the number of martial artists is small compared to all beings, they are still one in ten thousand, or even one in a hundred thousand.

But compared to Spiritual Power Gifts, martial arts talent is more attainable.

A Spiritual Power Gift is one in a hundred thousand, even among those with martial arts talent.

Out of a hundred thousand martial artists, only one may possess a Spiritual Power Gift.

In ancient times, martial artists were numerous; there were more than a hundred thousand, so one could still see individuals with Spiritual Power Gifts.

But now, in the Age of Dharma End, the number of martial artists is far less than in ancient times.

Now, globally, martial artists may not even total a hundred thousand.

It’s clear how difficult it is to give birth to someone with a Spiritual Power Gift in the Age of Dharma End.

In many people’s eyes, there are no martial artists in this world who cultivate spiritual power.

This is also why General Ying gave that spiritual power cultivation method to Lin Dong.

Having a Spiritual Power Gift merely allows you to step into the realm of spiritual power. Truly cultivating, making spiritual power grow, is exceedingly difficult.

There are several methods to enhance spiritual power.

The most common one is power enhancement. If one’s strength reaches that of Heavenly Realm Martial Artists, then spiritual power naturally becomes stronger and can harm others.

Without reaching Heavenly Realm, even Earth Realm, spiritual power isn’t enough to injure others.

Besides power enhancement, spiritual power can be enhanced by taking medicine. In ancient times, some herbs could enhance spiritual power, and some Dan medicines could improve spiritual power.

However, obtaining these herbs is even harder than acquiring Heavenly and Earthly treasures. As for Dan medicines, neither Lin Dong nor Qin Feng have ancient alchemists’ formulas to refine medicines enhancing spiritual power.

Besides these, there are other methods to enhance spiritual power, like Enlightenment. Generally, monks of Buddhism and Taoist Clan use this method to enhance their mental power.

Of course, these monks don’t transform their mental power into attacks but use it to enhance their inner self. This is Xiuxin!

In short, in this Age of Dharma End, becoming a mental power monk or enhancing spiritual power is incredibly difficult.

After Lin Dong understood all this, he quickly followed the cultivation method on the scroll to develop his Qi Sea.

His spiritual power was already strong, reaching over twenty levels, although the exact number wasn’t clear to Lin Dong.

Moreover, he could condense a ’Primordial Spirit Blade’ using spiritual power.

He naturally possessed a Spiritual Power Gift.

Therefore, developing a Qi Sea was not difficult for him.

It just required some time.

At the moment, he was constantly observing the method to develop the Qi Sea.

His actions naturally caught the attention of those around.

Audrey curiously asked: ”Dong Lin, aren’t you continuing to comprehend the Fourth Sword Intent?”

Others also looked at Lin Dong with puzzled expressions, curious why he wasn’t comprehending the Fourth Sword Intent, but rather took out the sheepskin scroll General Ying gave him?

Lin Dong chose not to comprehend the Fourth Sword Intent and instead learn spiritual power cultivation because he realized the Fourth Sword Intent wasn’t easily comprehended.

Even for him, it would probably take too long.

And comprehending three sword intents at once was already somewhat of an extreme for him.

He felt that cultivating spiritual power should be the priority.

If he could integrate spiritual power into Sword Intent, it would enhance his strength more than comprehending the Fourth Sword Intent.

Lin Dong didn’t respond to Audrey’s inquiry.

At this moment, General Ying laughed: ”So you’re studying the method to cultivate spiritual power? Hahaha, spiritual power is extremely formidable; if cultivated successfully, it rivals Sword Intent.”

”I also think that your current priority should be learning spiritual power. As for comprehending Sword Intent, I agree you can set it aside.”

He deliberately said this, seemingly considering Lin Dong’s interests, but everyone knew his true intentions.

Blood Spirit warned: ”Dong Lin, learning spiritual power isn’t possible. You’re just wasting time; better comprehend Sword Intent.”

General Ying glared at Blood Spirit, thinking that this woman is truly abhorrent.

There’s only one Sword Intent left, and she wants ’Dong Lin’ to comprehend it? Truly wishing him to comprehend all four Sword Intents?

Just when he had finally temporarily given up Sword Intent comprehension to study spiritual power, which is impossible to succeed, she still reminded him, truly abhorrent.

At this time, General Ying said again: ”Blood Spirit, what kind of gift does Dong Lin have? You cannot view him with the eyes of ordinary people!”

”He casually comprehends three sword intents and cultivating mental power is effortless for him?”

”Dong Lin, don’t listen to Blood Spirit; you should focus on studying spiritual power, that’s more important for you...”

Lin Dong naturally understood General Ying’s thoughts.

He glanced at him and said lightly: ”You’re right, studying spiritual power is indeed more important now.”

Upon hearing this, General Ying’s lips couldn’t help but curl into a smile.

Then he quickly placed his gaze on the fourth wall.

”Dong Lin, just immerse yourself in this dead-end; investigate that spiritual power? Hahaha, it is absolutely impossible to succeed. In this era, no one can cultivate spiritual power and become a mental power monk!”

”It seems that giving you the mental power control cultivation method was indeed a wise decision.”

”I wish you to continue studying until you deviate into evil territory, hahahaha...”

But just as he was inwardly laughing, he suddenly sensed an intangible pressure emanating from Lin Dong’s body.

That feeling was mysterious, almost as if the soul was attacked.

At the same time, he heard Lin Dong’s joyous voice:

”I succeeded, I successfully developed the Qi Sea!”
