Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

An ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍ambition was born in my heart that I haven’t told any witch until now.

That ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍is... is the World Consciousness a life?

Although ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍I asked Academy Head Mei about this question indirectly, judging from Academy Head Mei’s answer, she obviously didn’t know the answer, or... she might know, but it wasn’t an answer she derived herself.

When ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍this question was asked, I recalled my past ignorance, vainly attempting to make this world that toyed with me turn into my shape...

So-called ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍ignorance is just not understanding enough, but such ambition is inevitably very terrifying.

[No]

”Then can you become a life!”

I got this answer, wasn’t satisfied, and then asked immediately.

[Don’t know, because there is no such precedent]

”Don’t know... precedent hehe...”

This sentence still made me understand a lot.

The World Consciousness didn’t deny it, only said there was no precedent.

It’s just that... the birth of brand new life also has no precedent!

But with the existence of the Sequence of Life, the World Consciousness can affirm: different forms of life can inevitably be created, just lacking methods.

Then what about the world?

Saying so... the world seems not to be included in the Sequence of Life.

Although somewhat regrettable, I got a satisfactory answer.

Even if this question looks... really irrelevant, it can help me understand the world from a broader perspective.

The confusion in my own heart was completely answered, and the subsequent questions followed closely.

But just as I was about to speak, the World Consciousness responded to me again.

[Not recommended to ask large and broad questions, otherwise the time you can sustain won’t even be enough to hear the complete answer to one question, for example... how to make Fool’s Dream become life]

”Is that so... heh, true. Then I want to ask, since the Ancient Glacial Ice can turn into power as a race, can I turn the power of the Holy Relic into Fool’s Dream?”

After such a reminder, I quickly changed my thinking.

After all, just now I indeed wanted to ask how to make Fool’s Dream become life.

But that question... was indeed too broad.

Since it’s like this, then firmly believe in my own path, let the World Consciousness act as my prediction machine.

After all, I already have the idea of making Fool’s Dream become life, the rest is... take fewer detours!

[Endowing life with meaning, conforming Sequence of Life]

”Then... is the power of the Sequence of Life the so-called Primal?”

I spoke again.

This time I asked about the Primal of race.

From the perspective of life, at the beginning of the birth of any race, there is a Primal race as a guide.

Then what is Primal?

Is it still the original race?

Definitely yes... since they are the same race, why is it called Primal?

Why do extinct races lose their Primal when they revive again?

So... I boldly guess, is Primal a form of power, or a kind of sequence?

After all, at the very beginning, I also learned about the Primal Transformation Spell and Primal Summoning Spell.

Although these are spells, the essence of spells is power.

Primal Spells are unique special spells, so this means Primal is a unique ”power”, or concept.

[You can understand it this way]

”Meaning, correct, but not completely correct.”

I said.

[To describe it in words you understand: how you understand the Transcendent, the Transcendent responds to you]

”I was splitting hairs...”

”Is the power of the Holy Relic the key for Fool’s Dream to become life?”

[Yes]

The answer within expectations confirmed the conjecture.

When Fool’s Dream became Fool’s Dream, they were already deeply bound with the Holy Relic.

”Are Soul-substance and Dream-state Soul-substance, Soul and Dream-state Soul similar concepts?”

I asked a conjecture again.

The answer to this question relates to the mutual transformation of Soul-substance and Dream-state Soul-substance.

[No]

”No... wait! No?!”

I got the answer, didn’t react subconsciously, but after reacting, my pupils quaked!

”How can they not be similar concepts! Can’t Fool’s Dream become life!”

[The inclusiveness of life far exceeds your imagination. Soul-substance life, Soul life, naturally there is also Dream State life]

[The so-called elimination of life is a concept of life understanding, but the Void always leaves positions for the existence forms of these lives]

[Wanting to unify life with one concept of life understanding is inherently a prejudice against life.]

”Phew... I calmed down, thanks.”

[You don’t need to thank me]

”Thanking you is my habit, has nothing to do with you.”

Seeing the World Consciousness being polite, I naturally wanted to rebuff Him.

Although this was most likely me angering myself, curiosity about the unknown still made me say this sentence.

It’s just a pity I didn’t get any response, so I had to continue with the next question.

”I want to ask the next question... Is Fool’s Dream a kind of life independent of all known life concepts?”

[Yes]

”So that’s why it’s so difficult for Fool’s Dream to become life, right?”

[Right]

Just two questions let me roughly understand the composition of the Sequence of Life.

Since there are degrees of difficulty and category divisions, its form must be like branches of a tree.

And since the birth of Fool’s Dream is independent of all life forms, this means Fool’s Dream’s life form is close to the source of the Sequence of Life.

Comparing the Sequence of Life to a tree, then Fool’s Dream is a new branch branching from the main trunk.

Even if still very weak, it has the potential to develop into something no less inferior to the main trunk!

Maybe, the ”Fool’s Dream Genus” Big Sis Bai and I jokingly proposed back then might really come true.

At this point, there are no more obstacles on the road for Fool’s Dream to become life, or rather... even if I didn’t ask for specific steps, it wouldn’t hinder me from continuing.

I don’t need anyone to feed me.

Because I am not useless to that extent.

Maybe this event is just an accident, or even an absurd dream, but it doesn’t matter.

There is no perfect wishing machine in the world that answers whatever is asked.

What I pursue is not answers, but affirmation.

After all!

Human effort can achieve anything, success or failure depends on me!

Not the illusory World Consciousness.

What the World Consciousness reflects is my dialogue with myself.

Humans cannot understand concepts beyond self-cognition, so there is this form of communication.

Now, my questions are finished, and conjectures about Fool’s Dream are also finished.

The rest...

I felt my somewhat sluggish cognition, and the voice of the World Consciousness echoed again.

[You are reaching your limit]

”Mn, I understand, so the last question I want to ask... where is the Umbilicus Mundi of the Main World?”

***

Destiny Gazing Technique Special Experimental Observation Area.

Mei Linde constantly paid attention to the situation in Qunluosen Wasteland, daring not to have any carelessness.

But what surprised her very much was that other academies were unexpectedly very steadfast.

It seems the confidence accumulated before was thoroughly educated in these one or two years, and they dare not jump around anymore.

If it were one or two years ago, they would be jumping around happily.

But no matter how calm Qunluosen Wasteland is, at this moment, the observation data of the Destiny Gazing Technique instrument is constantly refreshing.

Even the academy’s Earth Vein system was deliberately pulled over to assist in the calculation of these generated data.

Observant students still remaining in the academy at this moment might also find that the academy network has become a bit laggy.

Not only the academy network, but the Root Network and Plant Network docked with the academy network were also affected.

After all, the matter was rushed, and the Destiny Gazing Technique project was of great importance.

The data observed by the Destiny Gazing Technique instrument was handed over to three parties for distributed calculation.

The Seed of Great Knowledge that comes with the Destiny Gazing Technique instrument is authorized to connect to part of the power of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

The Witch Academy’s own powerful Earth Vein system.

And the new Myriad Connection Main Network Tree processing terminal.

Because it is a three-party joint processing, a large number of witches are needed to manually integrate key data and information.

But even so, don’t underestimate the power of Transcendent Witches!

Soon, the Destiny distribution map and Destiny observation map regarding Qunluosen Wasteland were presented.

But this is only a surface reference.

The Destiny movement calculation supporting the macro distribution at a deeper level can also present important information expression in local microscopic views.

”Positioning completed, Destiny dynamic locking, generating consciousness interference traces.”

The ”consciousness interference” mentioned by this reporting witch refers to the interference of the Main World Consciousness on Destiny, using Destiny as a medium to capture the dynamic traces of the World Consciousness in True Time.

This is the cross-positioning method of True Time and Destiny River, and the result perfectly presented on the new generation Destiny Gazing Technique instrument.

Before long, many witches paused their work and began to quietly watch the data display.

Mei Linde was the same.

Until a certain moment...

”Success?”

”No way? Success on the first try?! Real or fake!”

Amidst the cheers of a burst of witches, Mei Linde watched all this calmly.

Success was within her expectations.

As the Academy Head, she knew more inside information, so she naturally understood the key to why it was so smoothly successful this time.

That is the cooperation of the Main World Consciousness.

If the initial Main World was disgusted with all external invaders, after so long, it should have calmed down.

And the reason why the Main World Consciousness would be ”willing” to contact witches and undergo such a change originates from... the witches’ Main World restoration technique.

Now with the means of the Destiny Gazing Technique instrument, she can already feel the ”attitude” change from the Main World Consciousness more intuitively.

Logically speaking, it is impossible for the World Consciousness to produce emotions like gratitude, winning over, goodwill, etc., like humans.

What the World Consciousness shows has always been instinctively seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages, and it won’t remember anyone’s kindness.

Perhaps this is the so-called ”Main World”.

A world born on the main tributaries of the Void Earth Vein always has secrets that too many lives cannot explore.

Now she shouldn’t sigh at the so-called magic, but use this unrepeatable opportunity to do her best to do better.

”Traces of the World Consciousness have been confirmed!”

”Can we track?”

Mei Linde asked directly.

”Let’s try... no? Send the data over there... integration complete... still no...”

The witch who spoke whispered incoherent words, finally confirming the conclusion of no.

This responsible group of theirs used the Seed of Great Knowledge as a medium, combined with the Consciousness Communication Spell and Great Knowledge Sharing Technique, completing temporary cluster information sharing.

But even so, facing the question raised by Mei Linde, they couldn’t give an answer.

”Reason?”

Mei Linde asked concisely.

”The Destiny Gazing Technique reached the upper limit of Floating World level observation. Forced observation will be filled with a large amount of redundant information, which will completely destroy the analysis result.”

”Even Floating World level can’t observe the Main World Consciousness...”

Mei Linde sighed and didn’t say more.

No wonder the difference between the Main World and other worlds is so big.

Other worlds, especially small worlds and worlds that haven’t even touched the threshold of small worlds.

Any Transcendent could potentially break through the world’s defense line, then lock onto the World Will with professional Transcendent means, and directly dominate the Umbilicus Mundi.

In this way, this world is completely dominated.

Dominated small worlds can do many things, such as arbitrarily setting the Mandate Race within the world, guiding the rise or decline of specific races in a way dominated by Destiny.

It can also achieve the adjustment of time difference flow rate relative to the world, but doing so will consume a large amount of resources and exhaust the world’s foundation.

If really necessary, one can even erase the World Will, letting this world become a dead world.

But the Main World didn’t.

Although those three Transcendent races ”dominated” the Umbilicus Mundi.

But thinking carefully... actually not so.

If they truly dominated the Main World’s Umbilicus Mundi, Transcendent Witches wouldn’t even be qualified to settle in the Main World.

And those Transcendent races threatening to destroy the Umbilicus Mundi at every turn is enough to prove they cannot truly dominate the Umbilicus Mundi either.

But they have some means to destroy it indiscriminately.

This is the means witches are wary of.

The Great Weakening Spell enveloping the Core Realm is also the last insurance of the Main World, insurance for mutual destruction.

Once the insurance is triggered, witches will completely lose the qualification to possess the Main World, and the guys who caused all this will die.

So a lose-lose situation, no one wants to see.

At this moment, gaze back to the present.

Mei Linde spoke again: ”How is the progress now? Report directly. If this is the final limit situation, wait for this event to end, summarize all members, then we hold a comprehensive analysis meeting to chat again.”

”Progress fluctuates only within the expected range; no special unexpected advancement progress appeared.”

”Any abnormalities?”

Mei Linde asked.

If there are no problems, no abnormalities, then this time is basically equivalent to no gain.

As for the so-called expectation achieved, isn’t this the normal progress advancement?

”Asking this way... there is one point worth noting here.”

”Mn? What is worth noting?”

”We found that the information released by the Main World Consciousness this time far exceeded our estimated magnitude. It started suddenly at a time point, but these all belong to the unknown range that cannot be interpreted, that is, meaningless information, only counted as information statistical anomaly.”

”Send me the time point.”

Mei Linde thought for a while and said.

At the same time, she also pulled out the following screen information authorized by Little Han for her deliberately, and called out the time period progress bar.

”Hope it’s not Little Han... forget it, still hope it’s Little Han’s doing.”
