Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 770: Chapter 295: The Queen, Youth Squad

”Sister Yue Hua, Sister Yue Hua, something’s wrong. The radar shows that the President No. 7 is less than five kilometers away from us!”

”With the radar system on President No. 7, they can definitely detect ships within ten kilometers. We’re definitely on their radar now.”

In the captain’s cabin of the Queen, Leng Yuehua’s expression was icy, while Liu Sisi beside her looked anxious and spoke quickly.

Next to Liu Sisi was a voluptuous mature woman with wavy hair, named Shen Yunxi.

She was a professor at Linjiang University’s School of Marine Engineering and also the captain of the Queen.

Although she hadn’t awakened a superpower, due to her professional expertise and familiarity with the Queen, she was highly valued by Leng Yuehua and given the captain’s position.

Of course, as captain, she was really just in charge of sailing the ship. The actual power on board still lay with Leng Yuehua’s team.

Leng Yuehua’s face darkened slightly as she listened to Liu Sisi and asked, ”Yunxi, can we shake them off?”

Shen Yunxi shrugged, and her ample chest heaved dramatically with the movement.

”It’s not too hard to shake them off. After all, the President No. 7 is a cruise ship and isn’t known for its speed. Besides, they’re towing a bunch of small boats as well.”

”However, when we left Linjiang University, our ship already had very little fuel left. If they keep chasing us, we might run out of fuel sooner than expected.”

Leng Yuehua frowned slightly and asked, ”Where can we refuel the ship?”

Shen Yunxi sighed, ”Before the great flood, we could dock at anchorages and berths and contact a fuel ship for refueling.”

”But after the great flood, all the anchorages near Linjiang were submerged. The fuel ships drifted off somewhere, so refueling has become difficult.”

Liu Sisi couldn’t help but interject, ”Why can’t we use the petrol from gas stations?”

Shen Yunxi shook her head, ”We can’t. Petrol is highly flammable and explosive. If we use it on the ship, any accident could cause severe explosions and fires, posing a huge threat to the crew and the vessel.”

”Moreover, the energy density of petrol is too low to meet the massive energy demands of a large ship.”

Though Liu Sisi and Leng Yuehua were listening, it was clear they didn’t understand the intricacies involved.

It was obvious this was beyond their understanding.

Shen Yunxi immediately stopped explaining further and simply offered a solution, ”But the diesel from gas stations could be used for the ship.”

”Though now, most gas stations have been submerged, so it might be hard to find diesel.”

At this moment, Lin Ya, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, ”Can’t we dive to the gas stations to find diesel?”

”Just because the stations are submerged doesn’t mean the fuel in them is unusable. If we can find a way to extract the fuel, we could refuel the ship, right?”

Shen Yunxi was taken aback and, after thinking for a moment, said, ”Theoretically, it’s possible since gas station fuel tanks are typically buried underground.”

”Moreover, underground storage tanks are designed with multiple safety features like double-layer structures, high-strength anti-corrosion coatings, and multiple pressure sensors to prevent leaks and corrosion.”

”Even if the gas stations are flooded, these underground tanks should be unaffected.”

Everyone’s faces lit up with joy upon hearing this.

Leng Yuehua immediately said, ”Then let’s find a way to shake off the President No. 7, and then immediately look for a gas station to refuel the ship.”

Everyone nodded quickly, and Leng Yuehua said, ”Yunxi, you handle it.”

Shen Yunxi thought for a moment and said, ”Actually, there’s another way to quickly shake off the President No. 7.”

”What way?” Liu Sisi asked urgently.

Leng Yuehua also looked at Shen Yunxi.

Shen Yunxi explained, ”All ship radar systems rely on electromagnetic wave transmission, similar to how bats use echolocation. Electromagnetic waves reflect back when they encounter objects.”

”Then the radar calculates the reflected ’echoes’ to determine the object’s distance, position, and speed.”

”If we can find a way to interfere with the electromagnetic waves, their radar will fail and they won’t be able to track us.”

”How can we interfere with electromagnetic waves? What methods?” Lin Ya asked instinctively.

Shen Yunxi shook her head, ”Before the great flood, there were quite a few methods, like pulse bombs, to interfere with electromagnetic waves.”

”As for now, I don’t know. You all are superpower users, so perhaps you have special ways. I’m just providing an idea for you to consider.”

Leng Yuehua frowned slightly and suddenly asked, ”Is a Spirit Ability User’s spiritual power a type of electromagnetic wave?”

Everyone was stunned and instinctively looked at Shen Yunxi.

Among them, Shen Yunxi, a professor at Linjiang University’s School of Marine Engineering, had the broadest knowledge base on the ship.

After some thought, Shen Yunxi said, ”According to the literature I’ve read, brainwaves are technically bioelectric currents generated by synchronous neuron firing, having bioelectric properties.”

”Generally, in medicine, brainwaves are not considered electromagnetic waves, though people habitually call them brainwaves.”

”But from a physics standpoint, as long as there’s an electric current, there should be electromagnetic waves.”

”The brain’s electromagnetic waves are extremely weak, almost negligible, so no one has previously considered interpreting brainwaves as electromagnetic waves.”
