From Folly to Fortune：I Rewrite My Life After Rebirth!

”Aunt Si, are you being polite to me? Have you forgotten, we’re family. What’s wrong with having a meal together?”

After saying that, Mu Shuangshuang helped Mrs. Liu clear the bowls and chopsticks off the table.

”Come with me, later we can chat for a while, it’s been so long since we last talked!”

Mu Shuangshuang pulled Mrs. Liu towards the third branch.

Mrs. Liu had no choice but to follow.

Arriving at the third branch, seeing the meal already set on the table, with three sets of bowls and chopsticks, Mrs. Liu’s eyes reddened.

”I wonder how they are doing! I wonder if that Xia girl and Xiao Chu can eat meat!”

A mother’s always more worried about her kids than herself!

Whenever Mrs. Liu caught sight of something nice, she would think of Mu Xiaxia and Mu Xiaochu!

”Aunt Si, don’t worry, my uncle won’t let them go hungry! He should have taken office by now, things will get better!” Mu Shuangshuang said.

Only then did Mrs. Liu feel relieved.

She sat at the spot Yu Si Niang had arranged for her, staring at the two bowls of meat soup, salivating.

Yu Si Niang ladled her a bowl of soup, filled to the brim with meat.

As Mrs. Liu ate, she felt much more spirited.

Besides, the taste of the meat soup was very fresh, much better than the meat soup she had at the Old Mu Family.

”Aunt Si, why don’t you help out at the construction site? It doesn’t take much time, there’s nothing heavy, they provide three meals, and you can earn wages!

You can save the money, and when you go to the county, you can buy things for Xiaochu!” Mu Shuangshuang suggested.

Actually, Mu Shuangshuang could help the fourth branch, but she already did it once before, and it made no difference.

Rather than giving money, it’s better to let Mrs. Liu work outside, to meet more people.

”This...” Mrs. Liu hesitated.

The reason she stayed with the Old Mu Family was to take care of Xiangxiang. What would happen to Xiangxiang if she went to work?

”My Aunt should only be drinking porridge now, right? Can she get out of bed by herself?” Mu Shuangshuang asked.

Mrs. Liu shook her head, ”No! I’ve got to clean Xiangxiang and turn her over every day!

And she must eat her meals on time every day, if I don’t bring the food, she’ll throw a fit! The room will be a mess because of her! Then I’ll have to spend even more time cleaning up.”

Mrs. Liu was a bit afraid of Mu Xiangxiang, after all, Mu Xiangxiang wasn’t easy to deal with.

”She throws tantrums?” Mu Shuangshuang was astonished as if discovering a new continent.

Mu Xiangxiang’s current state was her own doing, and she even harmed a Cao Miaomiao.

Yet, she still had the nerve to throw tantrums!

What a joke!

”Yes, she scratched my neck until it bled!” Mrs. Liu said as she tugged at her collar.

She slightly lowered her neckline, showing scratch marks clearly visible on Mrs. Liu’s neck!

”Aunt Si, why do you spoil her? If she hits you, don’t feed her, don’t clean up, ignore her!”

Mu Shuangshuang said.

”That’s not possible, what if she gets better and complains to your grandma?” Mrs. Liu shook her head, looking terrified!

”My Aunt is in that state, it won’t get better in just ten or fifteen days, it might take even longer. Do you really want her to always lord over you?”

Mu Shuangshuang couldn’t understand what Mrs. Liu was afraid of.

Mu Xiangxiang was half incapacitated, she couldn’t fight her, nor outsmart her.

If she wants to bully, bully her!

Although at this time, bullying Mu Xiangxiang is not moral, but who told her to be dishonest?

”No way, Xiaochu and the others are still with your grandma, I can’t have a conflict with Xiangxiang...”

Mrs. Liu never thought of dealing with Mu Xiangxiang.

She wanted to keep the peace!

”Sigh...” Mu Shuangshuang sighed, it showed her disappointment.

With good intentions, she tried to get Mrs. Liu to work and earn some money for herself.

But she got tied down by Mu Xiangxiang.

It’s disappointing, too disappointing!

”Shuangshuang, I’m sorry, Aunt Si can’t go help! By the way, do you have any work I can do at home? When I’m not taking care of Xiangxiang, I can help out.”

Mu Shuangshuang was just about to say no, but Yu Si Niang spoke up: ”There is, Xiaxia’s mother, would you like to cook at home? I can give you the job of cooking for the school kids, I’ll be busy with the fields!”

”Sure!” Mrs. Liu nodded in agreement.

Cooking is something she can do!

And she has the time!

”All right, starting from tomorrow, I’ll send the ingredients to you early, have it ready before lunch, and I’ll come to pick it up!”

Yu Si Niang said.

Mu Shuangshuang watched her mother be kind, but she was worried in her heart.

She didn’t know if helping Mrs. Liu would bring trouble!

Although she wasn’t afraid of trouble, she always thought that help should go to those who truly need it!

After sending Mrs. Liu off, Yu Si Niang stood by the stove washing dishes, and Mu Shuangshuang couldn’t help but say: ”Mom, why did you give the cooking job to Aunt Si?”

”Your Aunt Si is alone now, having a job to earn money is not easy! Besides, your Aunt Si has good skills, the children will like her cooking!”

Yu Si Niang didn’t have as many thoughts as Mu Shuangshuang had in her heart.

She just felt that she and Mrs. Liu are family, and help is there to be given!

”But, Mom, don’t you think Aunt Si is too timid? She could have talked it over with my aunt, then go to the construction site to make more money! It’s better than staying home cooking for others!”

”Shuangshuang, not everyone is like you, daring to fight, to be strong! After thinking about it, if Mom were Aunt Si today, would I make a different decision? Honestly, I wouldn’t!

Mom’s life, the kids have been the most important, if you guys are with your grandma, I wouldn’t offend Xiangxiang to cause trouble for you!”

Yu Si Niang said seriously.

This was the first time she talked to Mu Shuangshuang about this kind of thing.

”But mom, even if you appease my grandma, she won’t treat us well!

The same with Aunt Si, no matter how humble she is, will my grandma treat Xiaxia and Xiaochu well?

If she makes good food, will it be left for them? Will she scold them less?

No! What you compromised can’t get you what you want, so why compromise?”

Mu Shuangshuang saw through Old Mrs. Mu and Mr. Mu’s kind of people.

They were selfish and self-serving, they wouldn’t treat someone better just because they obeyed!

”Mom, if you were Aunt Si, I would hope you’ll choose to keep the family together rather than split for the sake of so-called wealth and power!

Uncle Si and Aunt Si could have chosen another life; it might have been tough, but at least when you open your eyes, the ones you see are family!” Mu Shuangshuang said.

After speaking, Mu Shuangshuang placed her hand in Yu Si Niang’s palm!

”Mom, never rely on someone who doesn’t like you to like you! In my mind, never depend on others to get what you want!

Uncle Si and Aunt Si will regret it sooner or later, you just wait and see!”
