Chapter 2989: Prefect Half-Bloods – I

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Dark Realm, Gelid Alps, Snow Elven Region, High Snow District, Snow Capital

Deep under the snowy terrain of the capital lay a hidden subterranean cave—a sprawling, subterranean world of its own.

Its colossal icy walls and frozen pillars were aligned with highly intricate, ancient array networks. These runes served a dual, ruthless purpose: they were configured to protect against a total structural collapse that could crush everything to death if the city above or the cave below experienced an unapproved spatial tremor, while simultaneously acting as an absolute cage. This was the dark, heavily guarded prison meant to isolate the Snow Elven race’s deepest and most disgraced secret.

It was the prison/house of the Snow Elves’ secret half-blood population.

They were secretly created through millennia of forced, selective breeding. The elven royalty with the crushing support from their house of commons and house of lords had systematically paired the most promising, elite talents from both the Snow Elves and the Frosling race. Their goal was as dark as it was ambitious: to forge a synthesized ideal being that inherited the superior, refined bloodline traits of the Snow Elves alongside the raw, absolute Frosell’s Blessing of the Froslings.

They wanted a creature possessing the absolute best of both worlds—the strategic intellect and combat prowess of the elves, combined with the complete, unyielding immunity to the Dark Realm’s deadliest frozen zones.

One would expect that after several millennia of conducting these heinous deeds, the Snow Elves would have a massive population, a sprawling army of thousands or millions of hybrids. But that wasn’t the case. Deep within that subterranean prison, there were only a few short of a thousand half-bloods.

However, every single one of those thousand individuals was at the Semi-Ruler class realm.

The terrifying consistency of this small population was born from a ruthless, blood-soaked filtration process. Over thousands of years, the Snow Elves had systematically slaughtered every single half-blood baby that failed to perfectly inherit the absolute best traits of both races. If a child lacked the flawless elven bloodline or showed even a slight vulnerability to the cold, they were quietly executed and discarded.

They only kept, nurtured, and trained the absolute best—those who successfully integrated the two opposing bloodlines into a perfect weapon. These ultimate survivors were then forced to perpetuate the heinous cycle, acting as the ultimate instruments of oppression against both the pure Froslings and the unfortunate Snow Elven women. As for the elven men, they relished the vile idea of degrading and violating the top Frosling breeds.

At its inception, this secret project was fueled entirely by the depravity of the Snow Elven royalty and nobility, who systematically kidnapped and violated the highest-quality women of the Frosling race. But the horror evolved into a calculated, systemic industry.

When they finally successfully developed the very first half-blood to possess the absolute best of both worlds, the child turned out to be a male. Seeking to replicate the anomaly, the elven high command tracked his lineage, identifying his elven father. From that moment on, top-bred women from both the main royal bloodlines and elite branch families were forced to breed with the hybrid male once he came of age.

All notions of elven pride and purity stripped away behind closed doors, turning their own daughters and sisters into forced components of a biological assembly line. All of this was done to churn out the perfect half-blood that were not only capable of surviving the brutal conditions of the Winter Valley but also shared their direct bloodline, technically making them family.

Yet, for all their horrific efforts, the project was plagued by severe biological limitations. The genetic probability of breeding a half-blood that perfectly inherited the absolute best traits of both races was astronomically low. It had taken several grueling millennia of systematic violation and eugenics just to produce nearly a thousand viable specimens.

Worse still for their calculations, this abysmal probability didn’t increase even when an existing, prefect half-blood was introduced into the breeding process. The law of probability remained a stagnant, unyielding wall.

Because of this, the elven nobility had long been losing interest in the project. From a purely administrative standpoint, the returns were simply too minuscule for the staggering amount of resources, time, and political capital they had invested and were continuing to pump in. Not to mention the shame and pride that was haunting them.

Left to their own devices, the nobility would have dismantled the breeding vaults centuries ago. But they had no choice; with the fanatical backing of the Crown Prince, the houses could only grit their teeth and comply.

There was, however, one undeniable factor that kept the high-ranking patriarchs from openly revolting against the Prince’s project: every single one of these chosen half-blood survivors was definitively destined to reach the Semi-Ruler class realm.

To the ambitious fathers of these houses, each successful child represented a massive, high-tier return on investment. In a desperate bid to dilute the Frosling traits and increase the elven bloodline purity—while carefully retaining the invaluable Forsell’s Blessing—the patriarchs kept the breeding strictly within their own families.

They cloaked the incestuous horror in the name of political legacy. These thousand elite hybrids were their secret hoarded wealth, weapons meant to fully show their worth the moment they launched the campaign to conquer the Winter Valley under the direct command of the Crown Prince.

However, to keep this project alive long enough to create an army of perfect half-bloods, the Snow Elves fundamentally needed the Froslings. They didn’t just need them as chained, starving laborers in a field; they needed them free and happy enough to naturally breed, thrive, and consistently produce top-quality Frosling women. To the elven eugenicists, a depressed, stagnant slave population would only yield subpar genetic traits. They needed the Froslings to cultivate talent, to grow strong, and to manifest the highest expressions of Frosell’s Blessing—all so the elves could swoop in, kidnap the finest specimens, and use them to sire the next perfect half-bloods. That was why, despite their disdain for them, they gave them a district of their own.

It was a meticulously managed livestock system designed to yield an elite army capable of facing all the horrors and dangers of the Winter Valley, harvesting its untouched resources, and stripping its abundant mines bare.
