Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

The crowd rushed forward, quickly reaching a crossroads, where nearly a hundred people lay on the ground—about twenty of them were cultivators who had previously fled, and the rest were seventy to eighty pursuers.

All of these individuals were lying in a pool of blood.

”Why are they all dead?”

”It seems as if they all died instantly!”

”Was this done by someone, or is there something unclean here?”

Many people shuddered.

If a fight had broken out and caused so many deaths, perhaps people wouldn’t be so terrified.

But now.

No fight had occurred.

After a single scream.

Everyone perished into the Netherworld, which was so bizarre that anyone witnessing such an event would feel chills down their spine.

Some people wanted to go forward to inspect the bodies of the cultivators, but the old Taoist sternly exclaimed, ”Hold on, don’t move those bodies just yet!”

The cultivators who intended to check the bodies stopped one after another. The techniques from Taoism have always been mysterious and unfathomable, so the ordinary cultivators hold great respect for the high figures of Taoism.

”Taoist, what have you discovered?” Someone asked aloud, praying not to find anything terrifying.

After observing for a long time, the old Taoist pointed at the bodies and said, ”Look, all these bodies are face down. Their deaths are too eerie!”

Everyone looked, and indeed found that all these bodies were face down. If the old Taoist hadn’t mentioned it, they wouldn’t have noticed this point at all.

”Taoist! What does it mean for them to be face down?” Someone asked with a trembling voice.

The old Taoist said, ”This is called Burial Soil.”

”Burial Soil? What does that mean?” Many were puzzled and confused.

Lin Feng turned pale upon hearing the term ”Burial Soil.”

He had previously heard that Wuliang Taoist mention ”Burial Soil.”

Wuliang Taoist had once told Lin Feng about an experience of his.

It happened many years ago when Wuliang Taoist discovered an ancient great tomb, so he entered the tomb to seek treasures.

Upon entering the tomb, he saw a vast pit filled with burial goods.

Such burial pits are quite rare.

When an emperor dies, there often would be many palace maids, eunuchs, ministers, and even concubines buried along.

When a member of a large household passes away, they might have servants and maids buried with them as well.

Burial practices like this are quite inhumane, yet they are matters that cannot be prohibited.

However, the tomb that Wuliang Taoist entered was quite different, those buried weren’t cremated or buried traditionally.

Instead, they were all face down.

This method of burial is called Burial Soil.

It is said.

Such a Burial Soil burial method is not simply about accompanying the dead, but also a sacrificial ritual.

A very special form of sacrifice.

Through sacrificing these ”offerings.”

With the hope that.

One day.

The owner of the tomb might be resurrected.

The resurrected, of course, would be evil beings like Evil Corpses, Ghost Corpses, or Corpse Charms.

Thus, Burial Soil is a burial method most favored by Evil Cultivators.

And back then, Wuliang Taoist encountered a Ghost Corpse in the tomb, and fortunately, the Ghost Corpse had just evolved.

Its strength was limited.

It was ultimately burned to death by Wuliang Taoist using the Samadhi True Fire of Taoism.

Now, in this place, ”Burial Soil” has actually appeared.

This is terrifying.

Lin Feng said, ”It seems we must leave Thunder City. No matter what treasures are in this Thunder City, we shouldn’t covet them!”

The old Taoist nodded, sharing the same thought as Lin Feng and planning to leave Thunder City.

Many people asked the old Taoist what Burial Soil was, but the old Taoist didn’t answer at all.

Burial Soil is a secret in itself.

The old Taoist at most would mention the name to those around, but naturally wouldn’t tell others what Burial Soil really is.

Lin Feng and the old Taoist left with others, with quite a few cultivators following behind as they headed out of the ancient city.

However, there were many who did not leave.

”What are we afraid of? With so many cultivators in Thunder City, what is there to fear from the Evil Spirit and Ghost?” the cultivators said.

If they were told to leave now, they would be unwilling, because indeed Thunder City is filled with too many treasures.

The Treasure Vaults are one after another.

Moreover, the Thunder God’s Taoist inheritance, the magical treasures, and even this Thunder City itself are ownerless, naturally making many people covet them.

This group quickly proceeded deeper, yet just after less than a hundred meters.

Thud, thud, thud!

One by one the cultivators silently fell down.

These people were exactly the same as those dead cultivators from before.

All face down.

”Burial Soil” reappears.

Incredibly eerie.

...

”How should I address you, young friend?” The old Taoist squinted as he looked at Lin Feng.

Lin Feng warily looked at the old Taoist, as this old Taoist somehow knew about Burial Soil.

What does this say?

It says that this old Taoist must have been to someone else’s burial site.

Taoists tend to be quite aloof.

So, generally, Taoists wouldn’t visit burial sites like those.

However.

There is one kind of Taoist who would do it.

Banshan Taoists, who search for Dragon Veins, finalize great tombs, specializing in excavating people’s ancestral graves.

Thus Lin Feng suspected that this old Taoist in front of him might be a Banshan Taoist.

Facing the old Taoist’s inquiry, Lin Feng blandly said, ”I heard it from a friend before!”

The old Taoist gave Lin Feng a meaningful look and nodded.

”Before the Yellow Mud Platform, tears for the king!”

Suddenly, the sound of crying echoed again in Thunder City.

Everyone felt their hair standing on end.

Thunder City truly is a strange place.

”Leave Thunder City tonight, re-enter tomorrow in daylight!”

Someone suggested.

During the day, no weird occurrences happened in Thunder City; it mainly happened at night.

Truly terrifying.

Lin Feng and others soon arrived at the city gate, and what made them suddenly change color was.

The gate of Thunder City was unexpectedly closed.

”Not good, the gate of Thunder City is closed, we can’t get out!”

Many called out in shock.

The atmosphere became extremely tense at once.

The closing of Thunder City’s gate meant that everyone was trapped inside.

”Thunder City is too eerie!”

Lin Feng took a deep breath.

What exactly happened in the past to make Thunder City so strange?

Furthermore.

Why would the Thunder God’s Inheritance Land appear in the Ruins Battlefield?

Everything is a mystery.

Whoo...

Suddenly, a cold wind blew through Thunder City.

Many looked towards the old Taoist with gloomy and uncertain expressions.

”Senior, what do we do now?”

Many asked, having run out of ideas, pinned their hopes on the old Taoist.

The old Taoist calmly said, ”Misfortune hides in blessing, blessing hides in misfortune!”

The old Taoist headed inside, and many followed him.

Lin Feng was about to follow the old Taoist when suddenly, he saw in the alley to the left, a woman in blood-stained clothes looking at him.
